Remember / make default sorting order in advanced searchWhen you use Advanced Search, there is an option at the bottom to choose your sort order: you can sort by Filename, Date Modified, Location or Relevance Ranking. The default is Relevance Ranking, which –to me at least – is by far the least useful, since, unlike the others, it basically reorders the files you’re searching in with every search, so you never know what order your files are going to be in. And there’s no way to change the default (as acknowledged by an Adobe employee here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/advanced-search-default-sorting-acrobat-pro-dc/m-p/9914022). And then even if you choose another option, Acrobat FORGETS… 1 vote

Allow users to configure the tools that they use, a custom menu.If I open the comment bar, leave it open until I close it. Why would you think you need to decide when to close a toolbar? If I open it, and close Adobe, I expect it to be visible when I open Adobe the next time. I expect it to be open until I specifically close it. Why would I want to constantly open the only menu I use for 99.99999999% of my menu use in Adobe? And update the time and date on dynamic stamps when I select to insert them again with the "K" keyboard shortcut. 1 vote

Extend recently used folders (not files)On Acrobat's Home page, selecting "My Computer" shows the 5 most recently used folders. It would be more helpful if this was doubled to 10. 3 votes

Constant Windows notifications...Over the past few weeks I've noticed Acrobat has suddenly started triggering an array Windows notifications to update, install, or restart. (Side question: we seriously need to do a system restart for an Acrobat update? For real?) I'm not sure what UX philosophy prompted this behavior, but I'd really rather it stop. While I think Acrobat is a solid piece of software, I really don't use it that much and I really don't care when there's an update for it. Considering how no other Adobe app sends repeated notifications like this, I'm a little confused as to why this now… 1 vote

Simplified BookmarkThe current bookmark system is very flexible and feature rich, but is usually overkill for what I need. When I want to save my place in a PDF book, for example, instead of creating a new bookmark and editing it as I continue reading it would be much easier to just right-click on an existing bookmark and in the context (i.e. popup) menu have an option for "Save my place". Then, when I come back to the document it should just open to that location. Simple. 1 vote

Recent files, don't actually show the most recent fileRecent files list don't actually show the most recent file. I think files opened from email or API don't show in the ist ... MIA. There have been many good ideas requested by other users but you mark them as "Resolved" instead of "Rejected". Just pointing to a style guide or help page that is incorrect is not solving anybodies problem. We will keep creating new requests for these missing features and bugs until you listen and REALLY FIX them. Often they seem quiet trivial but are great time savers for some users. Please leave them as "Unresolved" unless you… 11 votes

Dark Theme / Dark Mode for "viewing" a pdf.Dear Sir,
Please note that Accessibility Settings for enabling Dark Mode don't always work. They do work but in some cases only. Please see the attached images to understand the issue. It's high time that Acrobat DC should officially support Dark Mode / Dark Theme for viewing a pdf in the same way as the feature is supported on Android version of the software. Dark Mode is partially implemented in the product like the Tools Bar and all but not implemented for viewing a pdf. Please address this issue ASAP. Thank you.17 votes

Customizable Home/Tools pageI would like to be able to put very specific tools on the home page, such as Bates numbering, Redact, or OCR. Not just the Edit Icon but very specifically an icon that will go straight into Bates. Four clicks are too many when you work in law firm and are using Bates constantly. I see now the "Recommended" tools, and I expected those to "learn" which tools I used the most, but I haven't seen that yet. 3 votes

Acrobat Pro DC crashes daily and require repair installationVersion 2020.006.20042
I have to run "Repair Installation" every day in order to use the software. It starts off clean and fast, opening files, displaying, editing, etc. Then, when I try to close even a 1-pg document, it may take a minute to close the doc. About 25% of the time, attempting to close a document greys out the entire window (title bar indicates "Not Responding"), and eventually a window pops up giving me the choice to a) Close the program; b) Wait for the program to respond (see attached).2 votes

Please see below ...It would be GREAT if, when multiple PDFs are selected and opened all at once, Acrobat could SORT them as Windows sorts them in File Explorer. Each Client has multiple documents OVER TIME and we name the PDFs so they'll sort chronologically in File Explorer but once loaded into Acrobat, their filename tabs are all scrambled up across the top of the Acrobat window and with the filenames not real easy to see it's very LABORIOUS to un-scramble them ... :-( 4 votes

Bug: Acrobat DC Pro on Windows skips colour profiles- Open a colourmanaged Pdf with emdedded profile in Acrobat DC and also open the same Pdf in Photoshop. Colourprofiles are ignored in Acrobat DC.
- Happens on: Windows 10, Acrobat DC pro 2021.001.20142, Nvidia Geforce 1070 Driver 27.21.14.6172 and below.
- Colours should be equal in indesign (where the file was produced), Acrobat and Photoshop.
- Colours are not equal. Acrobat DC ignores the embedded profile.
In noncloud versions of Acrobat for example Acrobat Pro 8 colourmanagement worked fine. 1 vote

Saving personal window layoutsHi Adobe, Mostly I am using Acrobat to check Output. I am total angry because Acrobat doesn't remember my last window setting. I have to always to click 'Print Productions' button and - it is the most boring - I have to always click to smart triangle at left mid to open left sidebar and have to click to open Page thumbnails. Acrobat should remember the last state or some setting menu to turn on my favourite window layout.. Very thx 3 votes

Please add back the toggle for "Classic Adobe"Please add the toggle to allow users to switch back and forth from "Classic Adobe" and the new version to our settings. Classic Adobe is much more user friendly for keeping your docs organized while the modern version is good for template editing. The new version is just not as easy to visualize your work and stay organized. The search feature is not as useful either. Please add this back as soon as possible. It was very helpful to have the ability to use both versions. 2 votes

BUG / Expand to see Thumbnails / Acrobat 2020 Standard (PC)This is a bug. When I go over the vertical bar (column) on the left side of the window to make the Thumbnails, Booksmarks and Attachments icons visible, I have to be in the perfect spot to click on it. Otherwise, Acrobat won't let me click even though I'm on top of the bar. Please fix - this should be easy to both reproduce and fix. 4 votes

document cloud progress barWhile there are increasing numbers on symmetrical highspeed circuits there are still those of us who utilize a lower speed and asymmetrical connections (ADSL, fixed wireless, etc). Watching a circle spin and having to continually check back for for 30-45 min as a document uploads is not overly helpful. A progress bar showing a percentage or even a simple "x of y Kb" uploaded would be a vast improvement over the current situation. For a bit of reference 50 miles west of the US Capitol building in Washington DC our best ADSL speed is 7M/0.6M and fixed wireless speed is… 2 votes
