  1. This is a bug report.

A user reported Acrobat is crashing when opening a PDF and clicking on a textbox to edit it. It happens 2 out of 3 times on multiple PDF's.

We repaired the installation, reinstalled, removed the AppData\Local\Acrobat folder and also removed the Acrobat reg key but the problem persists.

I took a copy of a document and ran it on the previous version of Acrobat reader (On another PC outside of the users environment) and it didn't crash.

I then updated to the latest version (2023.008.20421 64 bit) and tested again, and the problem happens.

    Therefore…

  2. Template for adding form elements that are identical for various pages. Feature would allow you to select from a custom list of pre-saved field sets (from another document you had created previously).

I make editable PDFs and need to have the same style of footer for sell sheets, and often the same fonts, colors and size. For event flyers, this is also an identical item. For now, I just copy and paste fields from another editable document or replace the page behind the fields. Would be nice to save this inside of Acrobat to have in both CC library or…

  3. Please add the feature to Acrobat PRO DC that can add/delete rows to a table—having dynamic form in Acrobat Reader especially when converting from Word format into PDF.

  4. On the new interface after setting up prefill fields and then going to request signatures. All of those fields set for prefill will be assigned to the recepient instead showing as prefill.

Prefill fields work correctly on the old interface. On the old interface after requesting signatures the prefill fields show as prefill.

  6. Please could we have the option to create an online form, but choose to have responses go to a different email address so it can be used to send info to other team members or external parties?

  8. The ability to link one web form to a second one in a sub-window. I spent 50 minutes with one of your reps trying to help out. Perhaps after dragging in the Hyperlink onto the webform, have a checkbox that lets you open the 2nd hyperlinked webform as a box in the same screen. The issue is, as the module stands, you can link to a 2nd webform, but it opens a 2nd tab, and since signatures are required on webforms, the end users I send the webforms get lost and never sign the original webform once they open the…

  10. There should be an option to select all fields on a form and edit the properties such as font color. Currently, you can only do this a page at a time. It would be such a time saver to be able to edit all of the fields on a form as a preference etc.

  11. I was adding a created box and other elements to create a form; whenever I copied then wanted to paste in place an object the object jumped to a different area on the papers and not on the same page or area, so I was looking for the button/box...to find them select them with the mouse then move them around until arriving from a different page to the page where I need to place them in/...loss of time

  12. Dear Adobe Support,

I hope this email finds you well. I'm a freelancer who relies heavily on Adobe Acrobat for fillable PDF forms. However, the image field feature doesn't work properly on the mobile app, causing inconvenience for both me and my clients. While I've suggested alternatives like Foxit PDF Editor, my clients prefer Adobe's familiarity. Could you please prioritize resolving this issue? Your prompt attention would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Muhammad Shahab

  13. When cutting a page, the preview line on the cutting tool exists, but the preview line on the layout disappears, making it impossible to cut.

  14. When a date field in a PDF form is set to "read only" and the user tabs or clicks into the box and presses the down arrow, the calendar picker still pops up and allows the user to select a new date. This was tested by setting the field to "read only" via signature, and by setting it manually as well.

Tested in both Windows and Mac environment on the latest versions of reader and pro.

Expected result would be that the field remains completely uneditable when setting to read only.

Observed result when following the steps outlined above is…

  15. PDF forms developpers needs to test their forms (created with Acrobat Pro) with Acrobat Reader, so we need to have Acrobat Pro AND Acrobat Reader on the same computer.

Preventing us from doing so is a nonsense that forces us to use competing software (Foxit or PDF Studio).

  16. Hallo,

  18. Major problem with form links to PDF file since update 13.02.2024

I have a large PDF file collection with reciprocal links to other PDFs, which has been working without any problems for about 20 years.
Since the last Reader update of 13/02/2024 (23.008.20533), opening PDF files via a link in the Acrobat form button (Open file) no longer works. The file is only partially opened and the error message "No PDF file" appears and Acrobat closes without any further entries.
If I select this file directly for opening, it is loaded without any problems.
    Note:
    The linking of PDF files…

  20. Make the table with editable content able to expand to show all the content rather than that ugly scroll bar. MS Word has this function, I don't want Adobe to feel like a retrograde step.
