  1. Why is there an Edit Text & Images tool in Prepare Form?

In Prepare Form, why can't I use the Select Object Tool to select multiple fields with a marquee anymore? I've always used it in the past but every time I use it now, it automatically switches to Edit Text & Images, which I don't want it to do. This change supposed to be an "improvement" in the most recent update of Acrobat DC, but it has made my job both harder and take longer. Evidently, there's no way turn off Edit Text & Images when you're in Prepare Form, so you're just stuck editing fields without using a marquee to…

  2. keep form editing and text editing separate please

After last update, there is a change in how creating form is working. Form editing (creatin) now contain text edit, which is for me higly unwanted feature, since there is no turn on/off. I am editing 30+ fields in once and selecting all of them is impossible. My form has lot of text boxes and while creating pdf, i dont need them to edit anymore. I just want to edit form fields. Once you mouse down or mouse up on any text, it will ruin the multiple select of fields and start editing text. We are using old version becasue…

  4. Bug: LiveCycle Designer form not showing up in Acrobat Pro 2019.012.20036

Since the update from 2019.012.20035 to 20036 I cannot even view a PDF-Form created in LiveCycle Designer on Acrobat Pro Win any longer. Also the DataMatrix-Field that worked perfect with 20035 is not updating in Adobe Reader (where I CAN display the form!!!). On a Mac with same version visibility of the form YES, but also no updates of DMC on both Pro and Reader. This must be fixed very soon!

  6. PDF pages will be hidden/show interactively

We are evaluating the PDF feature for our customer needs, the PDF document should be displayed only a few pages and rest will be hidden, there will be two buttons at the end of the document in displayed pages, 1) Accept 2) Reverse, if user click on Accept button, hidden pages will be displayed, when he choose Reverse, then an email notification will be sent to the document author. I found that Adobe acrobat supports Javascripts but we have difficulty to find the perfect solution for the above problem.

I want to achieve this by following steps.

    1) While writing…

  8. Form data doesn't print from Acrobat Forms (AcroForm)

Printing a filled-in PDF Form (AcroForm, not XFA) is unreliable.

File / Print does not work reliably, regardless of which printer is selected (even PDF Virtual Printer) or the options for comments, etc.

    The problem is sporadic.

Several of our clients have had this happen, and there are frequent posts on the Adobe Forums for this problem.

    https://community.adobe.com/t5/Acrobat/W9-s/m-p/10668894#M222034

    Our testing results:

-- None of the form data prints, but the form skeleton does.

-- Some random form field data prints, but not all of it. Different field data will print each time the form is printed.

    -- Certain types of…

  9. The Entire Adobe Acrobat Product need a full rework. To keep up with the competition you better rework the who GUI.

Overall Acrobat is horrible non intutitive a simple google search and you will see I am not the only one that thinks this. I would suggest you work with NON-PROGRAMING design and flow oriented people to fix the issue with Adobe Acrobat otherwise it will be a thing of the past since many companies like ZOHO, Microsoft and Google are doing the work better thought the demand in the business world is PDF because you have marketed it so...I do not believe Adobe will be able to hold up this software as people are innovating their software at light speeds…

  10. Prepare form issue

When using Prepare Form for making a pdf fillable form, you can copy and paste multiple fields by selecting over.

Now, if you try to do it, unless you're zoomed in, it will automatically change to text edit. This needs to stay in prepare form mode...

  11. Expandable fields in Acrobat DC/Pro especially since users are not able to print all text content from scrollable field boxes.

Expandable fields in Acrobat DC/Pro is a necessity especially since users are not able to print all text content from scrollable field boxes. LiveCycle is transitioning out to Adobe Experience manager and this feature should be included within Acrobat DC/Pro in order to provide a smooth transition. It is a feature request that I've seen on message boards for quite a few years. Please take this into consideration.

    Thank you!

  12. Please continue to offer a retail version of Adobe Acrobat Pro

For many years I have been programming Acrobat forms for my employer as a non-IT specialist.
I have put a lot of private money and free time into programming.
Now my employer will no longer provide Acrobat Pro on a rental basis due to your too complicated licensing model. Please offer computer licenses for purchase again.
Otherwise we will have to switch to another PDF software.

  13. Make the form data export more obvious

Two senior web developers spent an hour trying to figure out how to export a PDF's form data. Do better.

  14. Barcode - QR Code - X Dimension - Larger than 0.04in

    When adding a Barcode Field:
Barcode Field Properties > Options > Symbology: QR Code >
    Decode Condition > Custom > X-Dimension:

the size is unable to go beyond 0.04in ... my client wants a larger Barcode in the file. But with this limitation, I cannot meet their needs.

My suggestion is to allow any value.

  15. Send a form without having to log in to your email account

I want to be able to do form that, when someone fills it, they dont need to log in to their email account to send it to me. I want it that, when pressing the send button, it automatically sends it to my email account.

  16. Allow to rename multiple fields of the same type after auto generating fields.

When I allow Acrobat to auto generate fields Acrobat named each field by the closest text, which is not always, most of the time, the best way to approach things.

I suggest to allow renaming a group of selected items, if they are the same type. Now, when I select multiple fields, even if they are the same type, the field name and tool tip property fields are disabled.

  17. Bug: Cannot save data to form fields completed in Acrobat DC, even with "Enable more tools" option turned on.

After completing an editable form with no restrictions and fillable fields in Acrobat DC, the data typed into the fields does not save. The form is blank when the document is saved and then reopened. Even when "Save as Other" --> "Reader Extended PDF" --> "Enable More Tools" is turned on, the data in the fields cannot be saved. This is a frustrating and time-consuming issue since users must complete the form, and if there are any errors, must then complete the entire form over again from scratch. I have now wasted more than two hours total completing a form…

  18. Stop entering Edit Text & Images mode while editing form fields from Prepare Form mode.

In Adobe Acrobat Pro DC's Prepare Form mode, before one of the more recent updates, I could click and drag my mouse over 1 or more interactive PDF form fields to select/modify and move them as desired.

When I wanted to click away/deselect them, the selected items would simply deselect no matter where I clicked (including existing text elements) and leave me in Prepare Form mode.

Now, when I attempt to deselect interactive fields by clicking on any element, such as text, Adobe Acrobat Pro DC takes me to Edit Text & Images mode.

If I want to click and…

  19. multiple text line links tab order

Using 13.1. Don't know if this is an Acrobat or an InDesign issue, but recently noticed that if I have text that flows to 2 lines and that has a hyperlink behind it, in Acrobat, the tags show the link as having two Link-OBJR, but they are the reverse of reading order. So if you tab the page, you go from 2nd line of text to first. So,

    'Go to

    the store'

tabs as if it is 'the store' 'go to'. The underlying link is fine--no issue there--it's the tab order and tag order (tag order perhaps then impacting screen…

  20. Sliding Scale

It would be great if users could insert a sliding scale field for range questions (like a 1-10 question) in the same way that we can insert a checkbox or text field when creating a form. I have to create employee appraisal templates and I need to include a slider scale. I have attached an example of a sliding scale.
