Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
You can still achieve your outcome via the thumbnail panel, just right click on thumbnail panel and select ‘Enlarge page thumbnails’.
Enlarge the thumbnails to your desired size & then proceed with your rearrangement.
    Hope this helps!

  2. In acrobat X you could set the program to always open PDFs with thumbnails open and page view next to it.

Tech support told me the added the "feature" of removing that setting. and replacing it with file-by-file interface settings. That's a loss of functionality.

I get many PDFs from outside sources and I have to integrate pages from them into other documents, for which I need two acrobat windows open with thumbnails showing so I can drag-and-drop pages.
Thus every single one of those new files I have to manually re-open the thumbnails, because my Acrobat has never see…

Sorry fot the inconvenience caused to you.

You can still achieve your desired outcome by following below mentioned steps.
    1) Open a pdf file.
2)Open another file and drag the tab out such that you have two pdfs in two different windows side by side.
    3) From the thumbnail view for both windows.
    4) Now you can drag your desired page from one file to another and integrate pages.

  3. It's moronic that I can't license more than two machines without having to establish a new email address. Rather than give you more money, I'll just remove it from the other machine. I'd rather give you more money, but that's not an option.

  8. I have Adobe Creative Cloud with Adobe DC et al. Up to today I have easily & successfully clicked the 'Convert current web page to an Adobe PDF file' icon in my browser tool bar.

Today, it does nothing & doesn't generate the PDF.

No updates have been done to my machine, system or OS or browser.

When I try to launch Adobe DC & try the same function via File>Create>PDF from Webpage it generates a PDF with the title on the top line & the URL at the bottom line & an empty file. So, in other words, useless.

  9. Some PDF documents seem to contain meta data content that's causing Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader to move/resize their program window when such document is opened.

This behaviour is rather annoying and it may lead to accessibility issues.

Please, either stop Acrobat/Reader from moving/resizing their program window when opening a document containing such meta data information, or provide an accessibility option in Preferences to optionally have Acrobat ignore that meta data information.

    Hi,
The issue faced by you is due to the setting of the document set by the user. Please see the following setting in the document :
    1. Open Document→File → Properties → Initial View Tab → uncheck Center Window on screen

Please make sure the setting is not checked in your document to avoid the issue.

    Thanks
    Rachit

  10. Permanent crop tool that actually removes cropped content. Masking content does not work for PDFs that need to be later uploaded online. It botches thumbnail creation and causes files to be unnecessarily large.

    1) Open a pdf
    2) Click on edit pdf
    3) Select option Crop Pages
    4) Now select the desired area and click enter
    5) Now you can select your desired settings for crop, click ok and save your file.

  13. In fact, all languages supported by the open source tesseract project should be available to Adobe customers. Better yet, Adobe licenses OCR from I.R.I.S. S.A. and meanwhile Readiris 17 has support for 130 languages, including Icelandic. Time to update or lose some license restrictions and move open source. What are you paying for, other than sub-par technology? Tesseract is a project supported by Google with an Apache 2.0 license.

Foxit and ABBYY Finereader also have support. Adobe is severely lagging behind here. The tesseract engine is particularly good at character recognition but does not have a very nice interface. There…

  15. Allow IT managers to assign to computers not email addresses. You do not install to an email address you install to a computer. multiple people use the same computer. The work around using gmail aliases is stupid...I then have to manage user alias or gmail accounts now too. The administrator should have all the control over all the licences and installations. Users don't care. Users do not understand. They just get fed up and stop using the software while I continue to pay the licence. I should be able to assign 50 computers using my admin email so I can…

We do not keep the file anywhere once it has been deleted. You will not be able to recover the deleted file.

  18. I don't want the forced tools on top, including Home, Tools, Document, and several of the page display icons. I'm a genius and I'll offer a brilliant idea: let users customize their own screen!

When the window isn't maximized, there's insufficient room for all the tools, and the default unwanted ones prevent the ones I need from being displayed! When the + and - zoom icons aren't shown, they're also not even listed behind the 3-bullet icon on the far right! This is obviously a bug. It's further difficult since Acrobat refuses to zoom when using Ctrl-scroll on a "high-precision"…

  20. When you create a form field with Date validation, the default error message in Spanish has a typo. For example, if I set the custom date format to be "dd/mm/yyyy", there is a space missing. See attachment.

    Bug: "El formato debe coincidirdd/mm/yyyy"
What it should read: "El formato debe coincidir dd/mm/yyyy" (notice the space after "coincidir")

This happens on Acrobat for MacOS, only in Spanish.
