Set Default Font for Edit Tool
Why can we not set a default font in our editing tool. One already seems to be the default, but I can't change it.

So after 5 years this still isn't resolved? What the literal **** are you people doing? Are you trying to kill this product?

This question has not been resolved for Adobe Standard 2020.

How was the colour default solved, please? I have just chatted with Adobe & they have said that it is not a feature yet!!

Why did you not factor in default font? My default is set to white and after I change it to black, if I click again it changes back to white. Also very disappointed that I cannot have the tools I use frequently visible in the ribbon. I have to mess with it every time. Very poorly designed.

I want to change the font type, size and color in all my text boxes at the same time in adobe like I can with box properties.

  This is not a bug...
Much like Microsoft, The Adobe corporation has been overtaken by a hostile terrorist group of non-American programmer a$$holes that are trying to kill as many people as possible by making software so unnecessarily stupid and impossible to use that Americans jump to their deaths. This 'stab the knife in and twist' style of software reminds all muslims of their glorious 911 attack!!!
Oh wait - hang on - my machine is all horked up. Now I have to reboot, wait for an hour while the muslims update Windows 10, then forcibly reboot me (again). Tomorrow I expect to be rudely interrupted in the middle of the day when an update to today's update demands to be installed NOW; so I will wait and reboot again, and again...
Anyway, I just filled out a 1 page form that contained almost 50 fields - and almost 50 times I had to:
1) erase the prompt for the field before editing - apparently because the natural default human thing is to keep the prompt text and allow me to start typing my stuff right into the middle of the prompt text...
2) type my stuff...
3) Select my stuff and change the font from the default microscopically small 6.5 pitch to a human readable 10 point...
4) rinse wash repeat for almost 50 fields!!!Nope: this NOT an accident. It is either a hostile foreign government or terrorist group attack -or- it is the latest attempt by the U.S. government to lighten the long term healthcare costs!!!

Why can the TEXT fonts/size/color have a default setting. Earlier desktop versions could. This feature should be on the top of the list for improvements. IE, when I place a text, I always like to set the color in RED instead of Black.
If it cannot be done, at least state that it cannot be done or it is in the development stage.

The inability to change the DEFAULT font color in text boxes is absurd. Surely, the programmers must have been asleep on this one.

It can be changed only for the session that you are currently using, then when opening a new session you get Adobe's default font and then you have to again change to your font for that session. Adobe will not fix this problem. I have been asking for years.

Setting a basic default font size should not be this difficult! The typewriter tool is probably one of the most highly used functions in this program. What the heck?

I have been fighting this problem for three or four might even be as long as six years. All the way back to several previous versions. Adobe has told me that it is not possible to do this type of operation in their desk top version. Adobe XI. But that it was such a request that they have fixed it in their new Adobe DC version (web based). My frustration with that is that they charge you I believe about $15.00 per month for for ever. For a small business that is $180.00 per year. So I muddle through what Adobe should have fixed years ago. Either spend the money or be frustrated.
Best of Luck -

I have Acrobat Standard DC and this bug is driving me crazy, how is it possible that this basic problem is still not solved!

Acrobat 11 is no longer supported (https://helpx.adobe.com/support/programs/eol-matrix.html) and the functionality to set default font is already available in Acrobat DC.
Preferences -> Content Editing -> Font Options
You can use the trial version of Acrobat DC to see if it fits your need (https://www.acrobat.com/free-trial-download.html).
Also, Acrobat 11 and Acrobat DC can coexist side by side so you need not uninstall Acrobat 11 to test out Acrobat DC. -

A user should be able to set the default font to their preference.

Agreed! Seems like a no brainer that we could set default text. I use it a lot too.
