Acrobat CC excessive Ram usage
Acrobat CC has suddenly started using excessive amounts of RAM to the point that it is paused and has to be quit and restarted. This also happens if left alone with no files open.
Having pitstop plugin open or not makes no difference. This is on an imac retina 5k late 2014 with 16gbs ram and only started happening Sept 1 2017, Acrobat CC has been installed for at least a year with no issues (and other versions before that have not had this issue).
The RAM usage seems to increase much more quickly if it is an image heavy file open but still happens after a time even if a small vector file is opened, and happens over a couple of hours if no files are open.
Currently I have to restart acrobat at least hourly (usually more often) or all of the software open will be paused and I have to restart the computer.
There is a thread about this on the adobe forums with several others reporting the same issue.

commentedHappens to me several times each day, I try and quit out of Acrobat periodically to avoid the message, which can sometimes lock the computer up if it decides it won't close the message window. Any hope of Adobe giving a @)(#! seems very unlikely going on their lack of input on this thread which is now nearly six months old. Prove me wrong Adobe

commentedMemory problem popped up on me last Thursday, out of the blue, no plugin installs or updates to DC. Rendered DC useless but for quick launch, view and quit of the app. Waiting for Adobe to give a @)(#!

commentedAcrobat Pro DC 2018.011.20035 on iMac OS High Sierra version 10.13.3. This issue started out of the blue about two months ago. Memory use increases to about 88Gb before the computer seizes up. I have to quit Acrobat every few minutes depending on the complexity of the PDFs. Two of four computers are experiencing this - the other two are fine. It looks like this problem has gone unresolved for some time!

commentedOnce again, I'm asking any progress on this? Its been almost three months since it started happening, september 1st 2017, and no solutions given yet, except for quitting the software often to avoid it crashing the computer.

The memory leak problem is 100% back. ;-(
My colleague worked problem free for a week. I've installed CC 2018 and after this install Acrobat becomes very memory hungry again.
 Back to square one.
 Adobe help us please!

commentedHi there, any progress on this?
Jan's suggestion doesnt help those of us with a later and full (not trial) version of pitstop 17. I have tried a clean install of Pitstop as well, but no difference to acrobat RAM usage, whether pitstop is running or not

commentedSee my post on October 04. I think I found the solution of my Acrobat Pro DC memory leak problem.
It was related to a previous uninstall from the plugin Enfocus Pitstop Pro 13, which left some remaining files and folders.See the link of the Adobe forum below to read more.

commentedI'm on a Mac, OSX 10.11.6; 16 GB Memory. When I have several apps open, including Acrobat, I'm using 8 GB. As soon as I launch Pitstop, I'm using almost 15 GB, after a certain point of Pitstop activity, I get a memory overload and have to Force quit all apps.
There are no plugins being used.

commentedHi Amboo, I am using an iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010) with 16gb ram running Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6. The version of Acrobat I was using was DC, (running Acrobat XI just now with no Issues) In addition, the plug in I have is Pitstop Pro 17 which runs no problem with Acrobat XI,
it slows down with Acrobat DC.
