PLEASE Don't make the user go through a menu to check off a comment! You DOUBLE the time it takes to go through comments.
PLEASE ELIMINATE the need to go through a dropdown menu just to check off a commnet.
IT WAS FINE to have a checkbox. It took HALF THE TIME.
PLEAES FIX

Totally agree with this. What was wrong with the tick box? Why remove it? Updates should make processes simpler, not harder. While your at it, sort out the comments, they take forever to load up, even if theres only one comment.

Yes, please at least make showing the checkbox an option! My workflow time has tripled!

Agreed! It's so frustrating! I realise it not a massive thing but when you're working on a document with 300 comments to work through it really does become very fiddly.

At least let the user decide if they want the checkboxes visible through preferences, please!

This feature change made me regret updating to the newest version – please bring the checkboxes back!

Just got through the latest InDesign CC19 release. As you ADDED THE CHECKBOX to the brand-new PDF comment import functionality in InDesign, you may as well bring it back to Acrobat, where it belonged in the first place. Doesn't it make sense? Also, coloured comment boxes were extremely useful to discern reviewers at a glance. Come on, Adobe, please bring them back, too. And add them to InDesign, too, for the sake of consistency.

Me and my co-workers want the checkbox back. Also, bring back the "Sort by Checked / Unchecked" feature.

Another vote to restore the checkbox. Hiding it is a step backward,

YES, change it back. This is a major issue. Very unpleased about this loss of checkbox. Also, bring back the "Sort by Checked / Unchecked" feature. A N G E R E Y

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CHANGE IT BACK!!!!! This right click is RIDICULOUS. Also, my filtering (NONE, COMPLETED) is weird as well and doesn't seem to work. Just change it back.
I DO like the color labeling, and clarity of user comments menu though.

Seriously, who were you thinking taking away the checkboxes? I'm wondering if you asked anybody like me. I'm a small business, designing and typesetting books. I create a PDF which goes to authors/editors etc. who mark up thousands of comments on a PDF and send back to me to fix. When I take action on a comment, I tick the checkbox, and because I have it set up to only show unchecked boxes, the checked box comment vanishes and I'm only left with those that need to be actioned. Simples. NOW, I have to go to a dropdown menu and add a checkbox, then tick it. This doubles the workload. It sounds easy to do, and yes, it is, but when you have THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of comments to get through on a weekly basis, this is seriously not funny. Yes, I know there is the CMD+K option, but often you have to click into a comment to copy and paste text out of it and into the Indesign document, so if you are still in the comment box and press CMD+K, you end up just replacing the comment in the PDF with a K. So you have to Esc out of the comment before applying CMD+K. There are many thousands of small businesses like me which are going to be seriously put out by removing the checkbox, so can you please, please put it back, and maybe check with some of us first if we think that changes like this are a good idea in future, we are the backbone of publishing, even if just small. Anyway, I've uninstalled the programme for the moment and gone back to the previous version (I've never had to do this with any CC product before, nor have I ever complained about any of the products before, I think they're wonderful), but this version of Acrobat now makes my job unworkable.

Please bring back the check boxes for the comment tool. The new drop-down menu is time-consuming and the opposite of time consuming.

Ridiculous decision that's costing many people many hours of work. Return these ASAP.

I imagine the reason this has been under review for 2 weeks and isn't resolved is that rolling back to the previous simple checkbox would be admitting you messed up? Just a heads up to the devs: at this point a simple roll back would be much, much better than making your users suffer while you are trying to find some new solution that keeps the new drop-down options and makes the check box easily accessible. Even if the roll back is just an interim fix. I mean, at this point even adding the option to use previous versions (like Photoshop, InDesign, etc all have in ACC) would be a good working solution. This needs to be resolved, and it needs to happen quickly as it is costing your users hours and hours of time. The fact that this and the nearly-identical https://acrobat.uservoice.com/forums/590923-acrobat-for-windows-and-mac/suggestions/35631883-bring-back-checkboxes-by-default-seriously are the fastest-rising threads on this forum tells me that it should have been resolved by now or that an interim solution should have been pushed out.

Something that might ease the pain a little bit (until this gets fixed!): Shift-K lets you tick the comment by shortcut. The only downside is that you can't have the comment box selected, because then you just replace the comment by a capital K.

Totally agree! Making something take longer is not improving 'The experience'. The tick boxes help quickly keep track of changes. Bring the tick boxes back!

Please please please add the checkbox back so it shows up without having to open a menu. This KILLS the workflow and essentially doubles the time it takes to get through comments.
