  1. When I edit a document, I do not necessarily want to edit existing text. I do not want Acrobat to do an OCR process on the document and create uncountable text boxes (that can easily be messed up), when all I wanted to do was either crop the image or add a text box. Please allow the OCR conversion to be toggled off.
Also when scanning, if you go into an option like increase resolution, all of the changes (like selection of document size) made on the previous screen are lost and have to be entered again Too time consuming!

  2. This has been reported on another thread and marked as solved - it isn't. I have just purchased a copy of Acrobat Pro and am unable to edit .pdf's, which is precisiely why I bought it. The subscription simply isn't worth the money without this capability.

I have noticed some suggested solutions but these are highly technical and not something I would have access to do at work.

Could a solution be suggested - fast - as it seems as though this is quite a common error?

  3. Yes, you have a tool to underline, but not for undoing underlining. I have spent hours attempting to undo underlining, along with undoing bold. As secretary of a Property Owners Association, I NEED these.

  5. Return Menu Tools to the Side where they belong. They are next to useless now. Put actual menu items under the menu drop-downs instead of extra steps to open what should be a drop-down. Sorry - I hate the new look. Hate it. I should not have to navigate away from a page I'm working on in order to get to tools. I should not have to spend half an hour to discover you apparently no longer have this option. Security tools, if still in existence, should be obvious.

  6. I need to make transparent buttons with HTML links in most of my documents. Someone forgot to program this in the DC version.
Create a square button and set the line and fill to transparent. Please fix! It is causing a host of issues for us.

  7. Please activate forward-button (without any additional key) instead of help button to be continued with the return-key – so you can easy save the settings of the new link.
At the moment the return-key opens the help file.

  8. If I try to open two PDFs at the same time, Acrobat closes. I also lost all of my changes because Acrobat closed unexpectedly.

  9. I often receive PDFs but after opening them, decide not to keep them and delete them. Nevertheless, the file name still appears on the Recent File List when I say I want to open a file for editing. This makes it harder to find still existing files that I want to edit. At the minimum, be able to click on a file name on the Recent File List to highlight it and then delete that name (via Delete key or pulldown option). Even better would be to also add a option that I can click on that highlights files on…

  11. I'm using the latest version of Acrobat on a MacPro. Text is recognized in the pdf document.
I want to change the text color to black for better visibility. When starting in Acrobat, I can highlight text in the first text box and change to black.
Then the program freezes. Using "Force Quit", of course, loses all changes.
    Help!
I believe this function with acrobat could be quite valuable. MANY brochures have lighly colored text on a white background--not legible! This feature COULD be valuable own a continuing basis!
    Thanks!

  16. To be an editing program, Adobe Acrobat needs actual editing features.

    1) There needs to be a way to set margins, and to lock and unlock headers and footers in place for editing. 2) Compatibility issues with other adobe programs need to be addressed.

I'm trying to work with a file created by someone else in Adobe InDesign at the moment, and there are serious formatting issues crossing over with the text being randomly broken up into multiple text boxes. Even if I copy-paste all the text on one page into a single text area, after I save the document…

  17. in Pro XI, when using the Drop List of fonts in "add text", the fonts actually DISPLAYED in the stated font. This was incredibly helpful for those of us who have to be creative with our text additions. For some reason, somewhere along the line between Pro XI and 2017 (which I just purchased and installed) someone in their infinite wisdom decided to delete that feature. please, Please, PLEASE put it back, and sooner rather than later. NOT having it is a major headache.

  19. Please include Hindi text recognition while editing hindi pdf documents or exporting to MS word or RTF format.

There is a huge market requirement for this feature and we are struggling with it currently.

  20. A fully functional spell checker is necessary for Acrobat DC (17.009).

Frequently I get documents requiring proof-reading and the only option is to export as a DOCX, run a spell checker there and, for every error, go back to DC and either comment the error or correct it myself. Not ideal, to say the least.

Such functionality would also provide useful features. For example, to check French text has the correct accents or, even, being able to "translate" from US English to British English
