  3. The new acrobat seems to force the side panels on the right and quick action on left. We need option to move the side panel back to left and turn off the quick action toolbar

  4. Well, sonny, back in the old days in 2022, Acrobat had this interface where you could insert a page from a scanner in two mouse clicks. That was before the new fangled 2023 version that requires making an all new document and importing it.

It used to be you'd just go to File > Insert Pages > From Scanner and, pow, zap, whoop, there'd be the pages you'd want to add.

Now that they got this new-fangled interface and first you have to find the "File" menu item. That's hidden up under the three bars. Everyone else in the world…

  5. I could vote for several of the bugs, but none that I saw reference the work-around.

The first basic (Control-F) text-search in a given session will fail to find hits. However, the 2nd and subsequent attempts will find hits.

Accordingly, my current workflow is to treat the first text-search attempt as a "throw-away" - I "escape" from that dialog, invoke it again... and then the search works.

It's been this way for years. It's a sad experience for users who try a single search, fail, and don't understand the workaround.

  6. Hi Adobe

Is there a possibility that we can have a column for 2-factor status added to the Admin portal?

I need to pull a report monthly as part of the security audits to verify authentication methods.

    Best,

  7. The Acrobat Save As window exists mostly to ask whether to save locally or to a cloud location. Since I don't use cloud storage for active documents, that's a useless window for me. I imagine maybe some others only use cloud storage. So I have a suggestion to save time for many of us.

Please allow the user to set a Preference for a default file storage domain (local or cloud, and (if cloud) which cloud service). Then skip the current Acrobat Save As window and jump directly to the native Save As window for the default domain. That would…

  8. In the thumbnail pane on the right side of the window (circled in yellow in attached screenshot), when I drag a page past the top or bottom of the pane, the pages scroll too quickly for me to easily stop where I want to drop the page. I suggest the scrolling speed start slow, then gradually increase in speed as the user drags past more pages. If the user changes the direction of the drag (up or down), the scrolling speed should again start slow, then increase.

As an improvement on that, allow the user to set a Preference about…

  9. In the new interface, version 2023.003.20244, the pan and pointer tools can not appear on the toolbar at the same time. Please fix this bug.

Also, it would be great if it was possible to pan using a mouse ring click. Would you create a setting to pan using a mouse ring click? Thanks.

  10. Other people set their PDF to resize my window when opening. I need to be able to override such setting in my sessions as I have multiple tabs open in windows distributed on multiple monitors. PLEASE add setting to stop or ask permission to resize my workspace window when opening READ-ONLY and normal PDF files received from other people or sites. In summary, give the user / customer rights to control their own window workspace behavior. Thank you.

  11. SO, I know that Acrobat is built on 25+year old code, but it's time to look at the biggest issue I have - that Acrobat is hopeless for batch operations because they are a clunky hack on top of an application that was never designed to work that way.

Now I'm doing OCR on 36 files. It's running in the background, but I have plenty of CPU time free. Can I get on with editing some other PDF while this is running? NO, because Acrobat is busy. I have to use a different computer. If you have acrobat Pro as…

  12. The Acrobat DC sparingly deselected or unable to do anything when copy and paste something from another window sometimes when deleting a page, sometimes aligning a page, and I cannot tell why this happens. If I need to enter Acrobat, I just click the Acrobat window, then do page alignment the Acrobat window will be deselected . I am persistently facing this issue

  13. Hello,

I am working for a many years with adobe products (most of all with acrobat), and i never understood why these two similar tools (select area and crop, and adjust visible area and trim, bleed and other boundaries) has the same icons? It's so awkward and confusing. It takes too much time to learn which one is which after repetitive clicks, but it shouldn't be like that. Add a small dot on one of them or something like that, that we could see which one is the one.

    Screenshot attached.

    Have a nice day,

  14. Adding a slight margin at the top of the Acrobat Reader viewport enhances the usability of the UI by allowing the user to know immediately that they've reached the top of the document.

The attached screenshot shows that MS Word offers a better user experience (UX) by visually indicating that the top of the document has been reached with the use of a simple margin in the viewport.

  15. With the new Acrobat DC I can't resize the window to the size I need. It doesn't let me make the window less than a half in length. There are also restrictions in changing the width of the window.

For me it's important, so I returned to the old Acrobat.

  18. I just opened Acrobat, and it gave me another "look what's new" popup. Every time it does this it freezes for a good minute. I have three new computers, the one I am using is a i7 12th gen 1280, with 32 mb of ram. So, not a slow computer by any means, and yet this mild distraction is very frustrating, especially for power users, who are the ones who are going to recommend your products. Instead of listening to us, it appears Adobe is running further down this rabbit hole. It should be mentioned that other companies who are…

  20. Allow users to remove these buttons as they take up quite a lot of space. ADOBE continues to worsen the user experience using this PAID app, by forcing icons in valuable real-estate.
