  1. Both, Acrobat DC and Reader DC ignore the "General preferences > Use Single Key Accelerators To Access Tools" settings.

Although I checked this option, whenever I open a PDF document, acceleration keys (e.g. "H" or "D" for changing the selection mode) don't work.

Deselecting and selecting this option in General Preferences temporarily enables this feature, but both programs "forget" this setting the next time one of them is getting launched.

    HI David,
We tried on our side on the latest build. It is fixed on our side. Please update on the latest build.
Although the issue faced by you may be because you have not turned off Protected View, Please turn it off and you won’t be facing the issue anymore.

    Thanks
    Rachir

  2. I have a creative cloud subscription but all my apps changed to "start 7-day trial" or "buy now". Even a complete uninstall of all apps and creative cloud app followed by a fresh install did not solve the problem. Also my Adobe Acrobat X has been uninstalled without my approval.

  3. make home screen go away after closing PDF file in Acrobat DC. Add option for preferences to disable the 'application frame'. This is super annoying as every time you close a pdf you have to press command W on the keyboard twice to close the windows.

  4. I have been making monthly payment for Acrobat Pro DC since last April, but now it is telling me that my subscription have expired. My last payment was Sept 27th. I should not be getting this message, and I see no way to fix it.

  5. I have been using adobe acrobat pro 9 for over 10 years, and recently I have to switch over to acrobat DC, and find it bizarre.

    1. First, the user interface has been completely redesign, not allowing one to switch back to the previous UI.
    2. Also, I find the number of key strokes needed to do a simple task, has greatly increase. I do a lot of cut-and-paste with my old acrobat, and it was convenient. With the new DC, after finally figure out how to do it, it involves a lot more key strokes. A regression!

  7. Collaborate Feature not available in Document Cloud Files, it is available in Creative Cloud files. Please include this option

Also there are no Shared PDF option, where in we can store a PDF on cloud and have a team to work on it. Just like in Foxit Or Sharepoint

Thanks for reaching out to us. For supporting collaborative viewing of PDF, Acrobat has come up with Send for Review option via the share button where the PDF is stored on the cloud and the team can add comments which will be visible to other users also with whom the file is shared.

  8. The current 32-bit version of Acrobat Pro DC becomes corrupt within a few weeks of normal use on a 64-bit machine, which thereafter makes it increasingly frustrating to use (with difficulties saving files to new names or locations, among many other issues). I am tired of having to reinstall your software every few weeks, only to see it degenerate to the point of unusability again. I wish you would release a 64-bit version that was designed for dedicated use on a 64-bit machine.

  9. On Adobe Acrobat DC for Mac, when trying to program a calculation, the Field Selection dialog box is much too small to see the field names, and it can't be enlarged! There doesn't seem to be a way to select the fields outside of the dialog box on the form, which would be very convenient and make sense. It makes it impossible to use the calculate feature if you have long field names, which Adobe creates by default.

  10. Working with tagging of PDF documents for accessibility purposes, with a lot of them being nearly identical to each other or within a document there are repeated patterns, it takes a long time and a tidious task to create tags individually. It would be a very neat if it were possible to Copy/Paste the (selected) tag strutucture within the Tags-panel (excluding any actual content they may contain)

    Hi,

Adobe Acrobat and Reader official update (19.021.20049) containing the fix for this issue is now available. This update will be automatically pushed to all existing installations of Acrobat and Reader. You may also manually trigger the update early by opening the application and going to Help > Check for Updates.
More information about this release is here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/release-note/release-notes-acrobat-reader.html
Please try it out and let us know your feedback!
Thanks for your patience and support!

    Regards,
    Arvind

  12. Hello,

I have noticed that some of the other OCR software performs better than Adobe Acrobat DC OCR function... i.e. Power PDF. I wonder if you can improve it's functionality as far as recognizing the characters is concerned?...

    Jeff Paarsa

  13. We received this document from a vendor and it wasn't tagged for accessibility. I went through page by page, adding figure alternative text, table summaries, and tagged H1 through H3 headings. Then using Adobe's book mark tool I auto-generated the bookmarks based on the H1-3 heading tags.

I sent this document to our 508C consultant who is blind. He used NVDA and JAWS to read the document. He found all of the alt text for figures but could not see the H1-3 tags nor could he see any of the tables or table summaries.

I double checked the document using…

  16. 2 years ago, Adobe programmed that the Tags panel would have Undo. That was very helpful.

But we also need to Undo in the Order and Contents panels, too.

When remediating PDFs to meet accessibility guidelines and laws, people work in the Order and Content panels, too, not just in the Tags panel. As in any workflow, we sometimes need to undo what we just did.

Right now, we must revert to the previously saved version which might go back too far and not be helpful at all.

  17. I just had my computer repaired which required a migration of my old computer SSD to a new SSD. Before that, I used to be able to open up several PDF files at the same time in their own window, which is how I like to work as I frequently have to review multiple documents at the same time. I would like to know if that option still exists and if not I would like it back please.

Also, the icons have changed on my desktop (why; that was your brand and was easy to depict from other doc files?).

I am sorry for the inconvenience you are facing.
For openign several PDF files at the same time in their own window you can
1)open the preferences box by going to edit menu > click on preferences or by pressing ctrl+k
    2) In categories select ‘General’
    3) In basic tools uncheck ’Open documents as new tabs in the same window.

For “fit a page to the full Adobe view screen” you can
    1) Right click and select ‘Document properties’
    2) Click on Initial view tab and select your preference in ‘Layout and Magnification’

I hope this will help you.

  18. When my team uses the updated Shared Review, they do not have access to all of the commenting tools as they did prior to the update.

The REPLACE TEXT, INSERT TEXT etc. are vital to our review process. Not having these tools available prevents us from updating the InDesign layout using the new PDF COMMENTS feature.

So, to sum it up, we were excited about updates that are not working because they were not fully deployed with the features we need.

  20. When taking a form and editing it or whatever you want and then you go to email it I shouldnt be forced to save the form before emailing it. Me personally I dont need a copy of the form, I just want to email it like you used to be able to do on the old version before the update.
