  1. When I try to add a watermark, the first time select "Add" from the Watermark drop down, nothing happens. Second time, Add Watermark box comes up, but when I click OK error message appears: "Expected a dict object." Previous version worked OK when following same expect procedure.

  2. Our organization uses SharePoint Online provided through Office 365 hosting. SharePoint is the primary location to store files.

It's possible to use Acrobat to open documents from SharePoint, edit them and save those changes back to the SharePoint server.

If we open a new PDF with Acrobat, then attempt to save over an existing file on our SharePoint server, we encounter the following error:

Adobe Acrobat could not access the network. Please verify your computer's network connection and try again.

There are workarounds to this problem, but it would be useful to our users if Acrobat would simply save the…

  3. I am editing a PDF file with Acrobat Pro 2017. When I save the file, it sometimes says "replacing font" - it takes some text and replaces it with little boxes. I've checked the embedded fonts and all seem fine.
What causes this problem and better, is there a way to stop the font replacement?
Attached is a sample page extracted from a prior save and the bad replacement that happens when saving (sometimes - not always).

  7. It would be great if the "Find & Replace" option is more versatile. There should be options to replace ALL, including mathematical symbols. Like we have in MS Word.

  10. I have a number of Watermark and Header/Footer "Saved Settings" on one Mac (desktop) that I would like to export from it and import into another Mac (laptop). These include page number specs for different page sizes. It would be a great time saver if, once those were saved in one computer, they could be exported into another without entering in the specs from scratch.

  11. Older versions I was able to quickly locate the tools to crop an image to make it smaller. I was also able to break down a document and extract one page if needed as a pdf file. Manipulate files is what this was useful for. No longer is this a user friendly program.

  14. In older versions we could just add text to a document where needed. Now you have to go to Tools, Edit which then takes the time to recognizes all the text in a document. I frequently add text in all kinds of documents including charts and forms. When it goes to "recognize" the text on the full page, it distorts it to something unuseable. I end up having to open the document in Photoshop - if it will read it since usually it was scanned in first. If it won't, I have to do a screen shot, cut and paste…

  15. I'm using the latest version of Acrobat on a MacPro. Text is recognized in the pdf document.
I want to change the text color to black for better visibility. When starting in Acrobat, I can highlight text in the first text box and change to black.
Then the program freezes. Using "Force Quit", of course, loses all changes.
    Help!
I believe this function with acrobat could be quite valuable. MANY brochures have lighly colored text on a white background--not legible! This feature COULD be valuable own a continuing basis!
    Thanks!

  16. I am adding a page to a multi page document. As a single page, the PDF looks clean. Opened in Illustrator, also clean, not remnants. When placed in the multi-page document, it shows additional, unwanted images. I've attached the original and a scan of the document with the errors.
I have even created a JPG out of the file and placed it, same errors arise. Is there some setting that I am missing? It is a 43 page document and there are no other issues. I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on a Dell Latitude E6440 running Windows 7.

  17. When I edit a document, I do not necessarily want to edit existing text. I do not want Acrobat to do an OCR process on the document and create uncountable text boxes (that can easily be messed up), when all I wanted to do was either crop the image or add a text box. Please allow the OCR conversion to be toggled off.
Also when scanning, if you go into an option like increase resolution, all of the changes (like selection of document size) made on the previous screen are lost and have to be entered again Too time consuming!
