NON-Sign Web Forms
Sign has the ability to create web forms, I'd like to see a feature that is the same but with no signature or certification - just a form that is distributable by link, gets filled out, the responses go to my account, and I can download and edit the document the same as any other PDF. With all the same fields (INCLUDING REQUIRED FILE UPLOAD) as sign except certified signature. Needed to be able to manage form submissions and attachments without the red tape of Sign

Prepare Form; Tabbing Field Groupings
Problem: When creating a fillable form, you either have to go in order of fields you create or in order of field creation number. When I receive forms that have already been given a great deal of time, the tabbing functionality is not ideal due to the function obeying the rule of field creation/ purposeful placing in the fields scrollbar. This becomes a chore when dealing with hundreds of fields. Ideally at this moment you want to scrap the whole creation and begin in a more formal and tedious recreation.
Solution: Multiple click/drag selectable field grouping. Where you can form…

Improve form field auto detection
I am currently stuck on a project here due to the sometimes unpredictable and difficult to work with form field auto detection in Acrobat. I am designing a rather complex form in InDesign and exporting the PDF to have the form fields auto-generated in Acrobat.
Radio Buttons in particular are the trickiest to work with because of their demanding conditions. It is leading to a frustrating end-user experience when the radio button form fields get generated as circular check boxes which is intuitive and confusing. It seems to unexpectedly incorrectly interpret them as check boxes in some cases, and correctly…3 votes -
Adobe Pro keeps deleting radio button name
Version and system information at the bottom.
Here's a potential bug that I found:
1. Change a radio button name.
2. Save and close the PDF.
3. Reopen the PDF.
4. Observe that the radio button name is missing. This is driving me crazy because I have validation set up to make sure all the form fields are filled in properly. I can't do that if the radio button name is missing.

Convert check boxes to radio buttons
Would be lovely if you could click on a checkbox and convert it to a radio button. I have to change these out all the time from scratch because Acrobat will make checkboxes instead of radio buttons

Ability to copy over all form fields created into one PDF into another PDF
Ability to copy over all form fields created into one PDF into another PDF. For example, an application packet that one would make into a fillable form, then - since many application packets have the same blanks and check box spots, be able to pull all the same fields from one state's application packet to another state's packet.

Adding Canadian SIN option
Currently when you select the Format in Text Field Properties you can select "Special" and select Social Security Number, however this format is a US only format, for Canadians our format is ###-###-###.
This would be helpful to have when creating a fillable application.2 votes -

Support of XFA
Dear Adobe,
Unfortunately all Browsers send an error message to the user if he/she wants to open a dynamic XFA form file. You offer some solution in your help to configure local systems etc... That does not help organizers of events. The end user is often not capable or wants to follow these instructions nd refuses to use XFA based forms. Is there a perspective that there will be a solution for the browser to open these files like back in the days..?. The status quo is hurting the image of PDFs a bit...

Bug: "No error" message when viewing XFA forms
In version 2021.001.20138 it's impossible to open XFA-based forms (sample attached).
- Open any XFA form.
- All you get is an modal message "No error". When you click [OK] then you'll see the "Please wait …" shell PDF of the XFA form, which is generally only shown by PDF viewer that don't support XFA.
- Tested on Windows 10
- Display contens of dynamic XFA form
- Nonsense error message "No error." and display of shell PDF.
The problem is the same in Acrobat Reader DC.

Create Multiple copy of fields
When I use the Create Multiple Copies command, the Overall Size values are calculated differently depending on the zoom % of the document I’m working on. Which makes predictability of the width / height area completely impossible.
It’s also has something to do with the resolution of the monitor. On my MacBookPro, I need to setup my Zoom to 66% to get a practical math logic. On my Old Surface Pro 3, it need to be 43.2%.
This juggling of math make this feature really close to useless.
Tell me, what is Acrobat's mathematical logic here? And how can I…

Adobe Reader for Linux
I need Adobe Reader DC on Ubuntu, because it's the only pdf reader who can open and edit pdf files with forms (xml embeeded).
I am forced to use Windows only for this application: Adobe Reader. And only to fill in a pdf tax form and send it to my local administration.
Maybe there is a way to create a payed version of Adobe Reader for Linux users.
Thank you!7 votes -
importXFAData stopped working with latest Acrobat Pro DC update
Using PDF XFA forms created with Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4. Data stored in a Microsoft Access database is converted to an XML file and then imported into a blank PDF XFA form using importXFAData. My workgroup has been using this feature for over three years with huge success/satisfaction. With the recent update, the xml import stopped working leaving the PDF form fields blank. Any work around or update planned?

Set 'prepare form' properties to preferred defaults for all future forms
When converting a .pdf into a fillable form ('Prepare Form') please create an option to set properties so that Acrobat will always apply my preferred properties as the default.
It is inefficient to always convert the font and other properties to the settings I prefer for the forms I design.
I am aware I can set defaults for fields once the form is prepared and then duplicate this in a given form. I am also aware that I can multiple-select fields and change the properties for a group. However, I'd like a more efficient default-setting option, please.
EG: I use…

Slider control field
Just like text boxes, check boxes, dropdown lists, etc are available controls to add to a form, it would be great to have a slider control as well. This control should be able to be horizontal or vertical, specify the default location of the slider, specify min and max values for a 0 - 100 percentage of the slider and assign a value to the percentage starting at the min to the max (IE 0% of the slider could be a value of 0 and a value of 100% could be 500 and a value of 50% would be 250…
