  1. The user interface of Adobe Acrobat Standard becomes unresponsive after opening this document. The mouse cursor changes to the "busy" cursor, task manager seems to show full CPU utilisation of a single core, and the only means to recover is to force quit the program.

  2. I have been using Adobe Reader for a little while now as have many others and am curious if anyone at all ever asked for a new layout? I am very used to the locations on the old ones and now I have to wander around figuring out where any little thing is located and what the new silly little icons mean. This was force fed by an automatic update and it is awful. If its not broke.....

  4. What an irritating user interface seriously. I wonder if the interface designers ever work on their own product. No sense of where to place the tool and task bars. What is the ease of accessibility have you guys created?. Please change back to the previous version. This is the most nonthought of update.

  5. I do a lot of re-ordering and re-arranging of PDF documents. In the "Old Acrobat" interface, the green "Organize Pages" button was in a narrow column of easily-accessible buttons on the right side of the screen. I could snap into the Organize Pages view, rearrange my pages, and snap back into editing. In the "New Acrobat" interface, the only way to access this feature is clicking the "All tools" button, which eats up a good chunk of screen space, and click "Organize Pages."

Either give us an icon-only view of the "All tools" bar, as the old Acrobat interface, or…

  6. I experience this issue repeatedly.
I have 2 PDF files, and double click the 1st file to open. It launches Acrobat, and the file opens.
I want to open a second PDF file, to view and compare. I double click the second file, and nothing happens. Sometimes after 10-20 seconds the 2nd file opens, but many times, nothing happens.
Launching the Task Manager shows me multiple instances of Acrobat running, and many Adobe "Background processes" (Adobe AcroCEF (32 bit, Adobe CEP HTML Engine)
The only fix I have found is to "End task" on the many "Adobe CEP HTML Engine"…

  8. Tutorial "First Steps" always appears on app start. Even if you close it, the dialog with the "First Steps" tutorial always re-appears. This bug is reproducable with every new installation even on new computers.

  9. Unbelievable how Adobe can render their software more and more miserable over decades and finally totally ruin it. This Acrobat Kindergarten Thing is utterly unusable. Not that this wasn't to be expected:

Acrobat DC SO HORRIBLE it's making me want to cry:
    https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/acrobat-dc-so-horrible-it-s-making-me-want-to-cry/m-p/7112345

The latest incarnation, in addition to the completely unusable user interface, is so unbearably slow that Adobe can just throw the whole mess in the trash and start completely over. This is the worst and lamest bloatware I have ever witnessed.

  10. People don't have time to find where everything has been moved to when you upgrade Acrobat. The new GUI is horrible. You are slowing down my productivity.

Tools being located on the left side instead of the top menu bar is useless to most of the users.

  11. As we are beginning to deploy adobe acrobat unified version in our environement (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/DesktopDeployment/singleinstaller.html), we saw that the title is "Adobe Acrobat Pro".
This is the same title that appears if the user has a Standard licence or a normal reader.
Maybe it would be less confusing for the user if the title was more generic (only Adobe Acrobat for example)

  12. Windows 11 allows to use window snapping layouts to maximize the use of screen, it can be done literraly with any app, but Acrobat does not support window snapping layouts. It is a very useful feature to quickly arrange windows in a way to maximize productivity for example when comparing a PDF versus another PDF or another text in another document

  13. Personally, I love the new interface as it only takes a little to get used to and then it is so much faster and intuitive.

The issue is, my computer has the new interface. I can confirm this whenever I launch the program. However I work remotely 98% of the time, and no matter what I try the interface automatically reverts to the old view when I connect via Windows Server 2022 Remote Desktop Connection (RDC)

I can not figure out what would cause this to happen and its so frustrating because I want the new Acrobat! Please look into…

  14. Switching between open documents doesn't work if clicked on the vey top of the file tabs.
I.e. when you on the middle of the tab, it gets active and you switch to the document. But if you at the very top of the tab (top edge of the window), nothing happens. Tabs should cover all the top part of the window, till the edge of the screen.
In other words, remove the gap between the top of the tab and top edge of the window.

  16. Create an extract shortcut, just like copy or rotate with a shift/command+letter(E), so that once we have everything selected we can execute the extraction without pressing anything else. SOMETIMES pressing extract can be misclicked, and causes all the pages to unselect. I use this function every day all day for work and the new UI has caused many cumbersome problems such as this minor button. Adding the "extract" buton to my customized toolbar doesnt always save, so when I open a new Acrobat window it is not there. I have to just right-click on the pages to extract, which can…

  17. Clicking on any links in any PDF causes Adobe Acrobat Reader to hang and crash

    1. Open any PDF document that contains a hyperlink in Adobe Acrobat Reader
    2. Windows 11 (Continuous Release I Version 2023.006.20320 I 64-bit)
    3. I expected to open the link in my default browser in Windows 11
    4. The application hangs (spinning mouse cursor) and becomes unresponsive. After 10 seconds of this, I have to close Adobe Reader and try again. But it does that again. Unable to open any link whatsoever. I just copy the link by highlighting it in the PDF and paste in the browser. Much…

  18. It is extremely frustrating that the scroll bars are missing on the September 2023 release of Acrobat DC - they re-appear on a mouse click, but do not respond to Wacom pen. So to scroll through a PDF, the pen has to be put aside. This is slowing down my work considerably, and there has been a lot of frustration expressed in the Adobe Support Community, especially among Wacom users. This is not a behaviour that we can be expected to "get used to" or "love", as it has not been designed with the user in mind.

  19. Provide a central place to change the Settings. For example, when I wanted to change the Opacity of Highlights, I spent good amount of time to find the way to do it. If there is a central place to change setting, it become easy to do it quickly.
