  1. Acrobat DC Stopped Working exception after Acrobat DC Pro 2020.012.20041 recent upgrade

    "Acrobat DC Stopped Working" popup seen after Acrobat DC Pro 2020.012.20041 patch / update recently. Popup seen while VB6.0 '.Exit' method is programmatically called.

    This used to work in earlier version Acrobat DC Pro 2019.021.20056

  2. LaTeX + Drawboard PDF = Error 18

    I'm using LaTeX (Beamer) to create my files and Drawboard PDF to draw on them. When I open the files with Acrobat, the slides with annotations with them result in Acrobat saying "There was a problem reading this document (18)". I can't even edit and try to save the document:

    Other PDF applications and even Chrome work just fine:

    1. Steps to reproduce the issue
      Open the file and scroll to a slide with annotations.

    2. Environment
      Acrobat DC 2015, Acrobat Pro DC 2020.006.20042, Windows 10

    3. Expected Result
      Acrobat opens the file without issues.

    4. Observed result
      Acrobat throws an error…

  3. Document Cloud Typekit Service

    Creative Cloud apps have the ability to disable Adobe Typekit font service but Document Cloud do not.

    I would like to have the ability to disable users access to download Fonts.

    If a user is assigned access to a Creative Cloud app (Font access disabled) and to a Document Cloud App (Font on by default) the user will have access to typekit fonts via the Creative Cloud app.

  4. Option to change default Edit Video Properties globally for a document

    When using the Save as PDF command in another app (e.g. FrameMaker), videos imported into the document will play on click in the PDF. The default playback is to play back content on the page in a small box in the upper right corner of the page. This is not convenient to users. To make the video player easier for users to click and play, I have to change the video properties for each video individually.   7. Bug - File In Use

    I close a file in DC, but when you try to move the file with File Explorer I get the error message that the file is still open. To move the file I must close DC entirely.

  8. adobe preview double click not working

    I have tried this in Windows 10 2004 and windows 1909. On windows 2004 Adobe standard 2015 is being used. If I have preview enabled in windows I can open other files fine such as excel or word.However if the Adobe pdf is multiple pages long, double clicking it won't open it. Sometimes after pdf shows in explorer preview, I can double click it. Sometimes it takes 5 double clicks and pdf file opens. I have the same issue on a Windows 10 1909 with Adobe Reader DC.   10. Custom Tool set

    I have made my own custom Tool set - why does it not stay open? Each time I close Adobe I have to keep clicking to open it - In the older one it stayed open until you closed it, if you made your own custom set so why not in the new - not good explain?

  11. abolish forced upgrade

    TERRIBLE habit of Adobe to force through an upgrade when you want to use it. if Adobe is set as the default pdf reader, one may have to wait 5 minutes for the upgrade to go through PLUS restart the computer. there MUST be an option to delay the upgrade.

  12. Add Keyboard shortcut for "Find text to permanently remove" and "Permanently removed marked content"

    Redaction : I would like to use some shortcut keys to find, mark and redact marked text.
    Alternatively, suggestion or feature(with example) to partially redact using .net will be the optimum solution.

  13. IDP initiated SSO Authentication

    Currently Adobe only supports SP initiated SSO authentication. We would like our users to be able to go directly from IDP initiated. This is a basic feature of most IDP services and would be great to have.

  14. worst performing program ever. Open in tabs?, Search term returns to the first location if click next, black squar appear over tex

    Return to the old version. The more you develop the worst it becomes at every upgrade. Completely irrational errors. Retract the last upgrade from users.!

  16. Staying on top of Acrobat backend/ admin change; languages change, or popup

    Please communicate with companies' admin if there is an upcoming change that might affect the users. For example, the login screen for Acrobat was changed. There is a button to sign in before and now it has 2 buttons "continue" and "Cancel". The other thing that was changed is when a user logins to more than 2 devices. The previous screen just telling the user to sign out of one of the old devices, the new screen which starting last Friday, showing all the workstations name that the user signed on and allow them to choose.   17. file name to long

    BUG - Acrobat will not open a file if the file path is to long, THEN it will not export anything if the file name is to long. As far as I am aware we are no longer in the 90s so this should never be an issue. File name I understand as I personally do not want long names so I fixed it, so apparently there is a limit? What IS that limit...now remove that limit. File path? Was basically External Drive, 5 folders deep. Thats it and got an error saying path to long. That HAS to be…

    Encode cs6. Kindly add the DVD feature back as many of us still prefer using it than any other third-party app. It was not supposed to have been declared the end of life application as there are still many of us who prefer using it than any other third-party app.

  20. compare pdf

    For ComparePDF, I hope there will be a way to make this side by side view switch to vertical. So I could be looking at comparisons this way (combined two screenshots below):

    I'm looking at financials with small font, so each line of text is fairly long.

    In Side-By-Side view, zooming out makes the text too small; zooming in makes half of each line out of view.
