Freehand Highlighter
I would like a transparent highlighter tool that will highlight anything and everything (not just recognizable text).

did Adobe remove the freehand highlighter?!? This was an awesome function I was using a couple short months ago in Acrobat DC Pro. But am trying to us it now to no avail.

The freehand highlighter only work on scanned documents, and does not work on vector line art like engineering drawings. It would be great if there was a checkmark option on the drawing tools for "highlighter Mode" so we can just use them like we would a regular drawing tool, only it would highlight the content instead of covering it up. It's a blend mode.

I work with construction drawings using AutoCAD which are printed and often scanned into PDF and it would be nice to be able to highlight just about anything including various annotation elements such as detail callouts, material item bubbles, leaders and various parts of the object being annotated. Also, when dealing with scanned drawings into PDF form, there is no recognizable text or hand written redlines have been added and I need to be able to yellow out the redlines to track that the changes have been made.

Hello Steve ,
Thanks for contacting us.
Can you tell what you are trying to highlight in the file.
Right now we can highlight recognizable text and images as well.
Regards
