Provide option to customize keyboard shortcuts
would be nice to have the option of remapping existing shortcuts for moving around, adding bookmarks, etc..
This is an enhancement request but we currently do not plan to cater to this as it is not very critical and also, not many people have supported this.

Especially with the new configuration of tools in Acrobat, keyboard shortcuts are so necessary. I can't even figure out a way to add the "Organize Pages" tool to the toolbar. I can only add the "sub-tools". This is a small thing but gets repeated so many times that it adds up to a lot of clicks!

One would think that something as simple as the ability to assign custom shortcuts would be a standard option in a program like this. Why wouldn't you offer users tools to improve their productivity and efficiency?
Also, maybe "not many people have supported this" because not everyone who uses a program knows there are feature request forums where they can show their support for suggested features. I just happened upon this page while searching the support community for this exact feature. I was particularly looking for a way to create a shortcut/action/whatever to insert a new page from clipboard instead of having to use the "Insert page" button's dropdown menu.

I'd like to throw my hat in, "create a keystroke to open the "organize tools""

I support this. It isn't just a "feature request" or a "bug". This is an equality issue, and I would strongly think that such basic functionality is required under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Adobe has no reasonable excuse for failing to provide this.

Saying "currently do not plan to cater to this as it is not very critical" is insulting, like this is some whim.
Are there no power users on the development team?Having better keyboard shortcut functionality is a major time saver for pro users.

I support this. I am a big shortcut user and manage a lot of PDF documents for my team. Not ideal to have to use the mouse to navigate when I use shortcuts for almost all other softwares I use regularly.

You are wrong Vivek. Many people support this and this feature is existent on almost all other major PDF editors especially Foxit... even their free version has this!

From what I can tell, no one asked you Adobe to remove the checkbox from the list of comments, yet that was implemented.... So why not implement something that users are actually asking for and is available across other Adobe applications?

I voted and it was not registered. Why?
I can customize my shortcuts in PS, AI, and ID. Why decline it in Acrobat? -

I support this request for shortcuts, too.
At the moment I've to upgrade roundabout 6.000 pages of old pdf-files. I'd have to insert Links and bookmarks. -

I think this is a good idea. Pity it was declined. And pity Adobe are too quick to knock an idea.

Certain groups of users have been ignored and dismissed by the Acrobat team for so long that they have stopped participating in feature requests because they've been told their ideas aren't important.

I support this request for shortcuts. Besides, in the past there where shortcuts and Adobe does not have to develop this idea from scratch. Why is it a good idea to eliminates something that was useful.
