  1. I tried using Acrobat Pro DC for the first time recently and I was shocked to learn that some key drag & drop functionality no longer exists in Actions. Drag and drop is a must-have. Also, I cannot edit actions imported from an earlier version of Acrobat Pro. The video at the following link shows what I can do in Acrobat X and what I can no longer do in Acrobat DC. There are also some other items that are missing...

The drag-and-drop functionality is important for the tasks that I complete. Not being able to drag-and-drop files as…

  2. Add to the preferences an option to turn off all tool-tips and tricks pop-pops. it's gotten so bad that I've canceled my personal subscription to adobe but still have to suffer through it for work. Also, fire your marketing team for ever coming up with this stupid idea.

  3. Bug Report:

I am distributing pdf files on USB drives that are locked for read only at the hardware level. Until about 6 months ago, I was able to do this with PDF files. Now, when I try to open a pdf file on a locked drive, I get an error that the file is corrupted. I can unlock the drive and then the file can be viewed without issue in Reader or Acrobat. I see this bug using two different manufacturers USB drives. It also reproduces using pdf/a files rather than standard pdf files. Marking the pdf file as…

  4. Requesting Acrobat DC x64 be updated to enable PDFMaker functionality across applications for a user ONLY if the full functionality of Acrobat Pro is activated by sign in and license validation; and disabled, hidden or greyed out when the user signs out of Acrobat and is in 'Reader' mode.

When using the Adobe Acrobat DC x64 Unified Installer the PDFMaker add-ins for Office products (Word, Outlook, etc) are automatically enabled, however, users that are in 'Reader' mode cannot use these features (Save as Adobe PDF, context menus to convert or append Outlook mailboxes to PDF, etc) and receive an error…

  5. Bring back the option to get rid of the home page! So aggravating to have this addtional stop on the way to closing every.single.file.

  6. The user's choice for "fit to width scrolling", "fit one page", "read mode" should remain consistent for ALL documents and sessions. It's extremely aggravating that i have to choose my preference for every document.

Further, based on internet searches, setting the page display preference to "single page continuous" and "fit width" in preferences does not actually change the default behavior to what i want nor stick across future docs that are opened.

Every f*ing doc i open i have to click on the "fit to width scrolling" to be able to read the doc.

  7. Finally open tabs in Acrobat can be saved for next launch. But there is one little annoying thing when Acrobat is closed and you open a pdf by double-clicking on it from Explorer/Finder... The file opens (you start reading it) and after with a small delay the previously saved tabs open and GET FOCUS. So can this behaviour be optimised that the FOCUS stays on the most recently opened document?

  8. While going through the process of requesting a digital signature through Acrobat, it would be VERY HELPFUL to have a "back" button to move backward through the 3-step process in order to make edits/corrections (particularly to the copy in the email). There have been numerous times that I have composed the email (in the Request Signature process in Acrobat) and wanted to go back and change something. It could be editing the copy in the email (subject or body) or adding/deleting recipients. Currently, there is no way to do that without canceling the process and starting all over.

    Then, you…

  9. I am amazed at how hard it is to flatten a document when you’re trying to accomplish something so simple. It is amazing and impressive that Adobe has made it so complex, confusing, and impossible to use. It is so bad that when I call Adobe for help, the tech support just advises me to open up the document in Google Chrome and save it as a PDF. For such an expensive product, that is ridiculous!!!

  10. wouldn't it make more sense to see the REAL page size in the left bottom corner (or when you hit command-D)?
When I check my PDF, I want to see - in a quick way - if I got the page size right. Rather then if I got the bleed and slug right... Now I have to go to Print production, etc. etc. It would be so much easier to see the size (Trimbox size) straight away, because that is what is most important, right?

  11. Please restore functionality that existed in Acrobat X:
    1. Drag & Drop files with Legacy Actions and with Acrobat DC actions
    2. Do not displaying each file processed by actions for faster processing
    3. Be able to edit actions created in prior versions of Acrobat
    4. New actions should have an option to prompt user to add more files before running
Please watch the following video for a complete description and comparison of the functionality to Acrobat X:

  13. I use the OneDrive app on macOS to sync files from a Sharepoint library. Most of the files are not actually downloaded yet - when you open them from Finder they download and then open. This applies to opening files from the File>Open dialog box in most applications as well (i.e. Illustrator).

However, Acrobat doesn't do this. If I choose a non-downloaded file it just closes the dialog box and never opens the file. I have to go through Finder and open it there instead.

  14. Новата версия, която се самоинсталира, има следните недостатъци:

    1. All tools

  15. Hundreds of thousands of businesses use flowcharting software (such as draw.io, Visio, LucidChart, etc.) that allows you to create HORIZONTAL flowcharts, project management swim lanes, and more.

Unfortunately, Acrobat currently only allows VERTICAL "Single Page Continuous" scrolling in the Page Layout options.

For multipage horizontal documents, it's hard to track the right side of the previous page with the left side of the current page.

I'm proposing an additional Page Layout option called "Single Page Continuous Horizontal" (and maybe rename the current option to "Single Page Continuous Vertical) that allows us to scroll HORIZONTALLY through ALL pages in a document.

  16. It should be clear with the countless posts of users wanting the default to be the Hand Tool and others wanting the default to be the Selection Tool.

In both cases, there has been countless work arounds and fixes to make it work one way or another. Since this latest update none of the fixes appear to be working now and it seems everyone is forced into having Selection as the default.

Simple feature request - have a Preference setting to select your default tool - Hand/Pan or Arrow/Select.

  18. Former versions of Acrobat, prior to Acrobat DC, had the capability of showing tools on two rows at the top of the document pane.

The lack of colorization of icons in DC, the basic shapes and the inability to show nearly all tools in the toolbar makes it very difficult and time consuming to edit and markup documents. I most often use the full array of tools and find it time consuming to search for tools that don't "fit" on the single row toolbar.

Please consider a options for users to add a second row or more to the tool…
