  1. Currently the PDF signature routines of Acrobat fail when using certain certificates. As an SecSigner employee explains, this may be due to symmetric curve crypt algorithms or using PSS padding, cf. https://seccommerce.com/anforderungen-an-den-secsigner-im-rahmen-von-etsi/ (in German)

    E.g. current PDF files by amazon.de result in the following error (German Acrobat DC installation, no pending updates):

  4. I have a CC account with my university.

    I have a preferred name which is the only name displayed on my Adobe account (online and in all CC Applications like PS, AI, etc.).

    But on Adobe DC, my former name is displayed somehow.
    Despite the name not appearing on any of my actual Adobe account information.

    Hello,

    When you say Adobe DC, I believe you mean Acrobat Pro DC?

    Try the following steps and let us know if that helps:
    1. Launch Acrobat.
    2. Click on your name at the top right corner. And click on Sign-out.
    3. Close Acrobat and re-launch, it should ask for re-login. Enter your Adobe-ID and check.

    Let us know if that helps.

  5. Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, Version 2018.009.20050
    Windows 10 Professional 64-bit

    I save a portfolio in Split Vertical view.
    When I reopen the portfolio, it has Split Horizontal view.

    Acrobat should remember it was last in Split Vertical view.

    Setting Split Vertical view should also be an option in the Properties of a Portfolio PDF.

  6. Acrobat is printing the square of however many copies I ask it to print. So, if I print 2 copies, Acrobat actually prints 4. If I print 4 copies, Acrobat prints 16, etc. I am running it on a Mac mini and my printer is an HP LaserJet Pro 400. I have tried turning off the computer & printer, with no success. It is still doing the same thing.

    You will not be able to edit the PDF file created from Adobe LiveCycle Designer in Acrobat

    You need separate application.

  8. I paid $190 (inc. tax) on June 26 for Acrobat Pro DC - yet every time I open Acrobat, there's a little circle in the lower left hand corner saying "subscription expired" with a "buy" button beneath it - I want to know I have what I paid for!

  9. if I open an existing PDF and make changes it will not save, if I create a new PDF it will not save. I have tried save, and save as neither work. and I need this to work for my job.

  10. The program needs an eraser (I've been telling Adobe techs this for years) If you need an example, download a trial version of Bluebeam Revu. Take a look at their crop, eraser, cut and flatten tools. You guys need to step up your game!

  11. Can't open pdf in Acrobat DC. The wheel spins and the program has to be forcefully quit. The program stops working as it prepares the file for reading.

  12. I have CC full suite and from the day I had to install Adobe Acrobat Pro DC I have been unable to print locally from any open PDF. I have tried multiple fixes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I've updated the printer drivers and had my IT support look at it. And now that this program is embedded in everything, I can't event go back to Acrobat XI. If I'm lucky I can export the PDF as an image or word document and print from there, but if I'm looking at document that's large that is just simply…

  13. Trying to select which pages to extract by clicking on thumbnails is next to impossible. Whoever thought of this system has never tried to extract multiple non-consecutive pages from a large document - they all look the same when shrunk to 1 inch tall. Can we just extract by highlighting bookmarks?

    Please also specify the Acrobat version you are using where this issue is occurring. You will find the version info in Help→About Adobe Acrobat.

  15. Since upgrading my iMac to MAC OS 10.13 Adobe Acrobat DC has become horribly unstable. It crashes constantly, but inconsistently. Sometimes it crashes when it's just open and sitting in the background. Sometimes it crashes when I'm attempting to open a PDF. It crashes regularly when I'm attempting to edit a PDF into a form. I don't get any on screen feedback except the dialog boxes asking if I want to report the "unexpected quit" to Apple, and then Adobe. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat DC. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    Thanks for Reaching out to us.
    I would request you to kindly add the Loupe tool in your main toolbar. thats how you can do that

    1) launch any pdf and right click on the main toolbar
    2) select “Show Select and zoom Tool” and click on “Loupe Tool”
    3) click on the loupe tool icon added to the toolbar and then click on any area in the pdf

    Now you can see an enlarged view of a specific area in a pdf in a separate window

  18. I have designed forms that my staff complete & then we provide to external sources. I need these to export as a flat file & don't see how that could be accomplished other than export to MS Word & then to a pdf... kinda labor intensive!

  19. When i use the edit PDF function and attempt to edit the text, the wrong letters are appearing after i type. For instance, when i type the letter "N" , "h" shows up, and when I type "o" , "b" shows up. This is extremely frustrating. Please help!

  20. Currently there is no easy way to create a form from scratch with numerous lines and fields. It is easier to create it in Word and then export it, but then there are issues with editing and aligning field boxes to the text. Please make a feature to snap the text boxes to field boxes so they line up perfectly and quickly.
