  1. The "+ Create" button needs to be removed from the Tab bar and placed onto the All Tools bar. I routinely hit the Create button when intending to resize or move the Acrobat window, the button quite literally couldn't be in a worse place. (Even just moving it to the front of the tabs would alleviate the issue) The only option to hide the button is to disable the new Acrobat, which is ridiculous.

  2. Create an option setting so my Adobe windows do NOT resize based on settings of new file being opened. In other words, control of window resizing should remain with ME, NOT the person sending me their PDF file.

  3. Get a smaller, lighter Acrobat Reader without artificial intelligence. The current one is too big and makes the computer very slow (including when starting up). I just need a PDF reader, with markup, commenting and quick search tools!

Pontificating that there must be a "newbie user" segment who needs extra assistance in using Acrobat, I ask that you please remember you have a multitude of Perennial Power Users who don't need the constant hand holding, introductions, or reminders in pop ups. My efficiency is being damaged by the interruptions. While presenting in meetings, these pops ups are unprofessional and actually drove me to choose to default to opening PDFs in Microsoft Word. Yes.   6. This may not be new but I don't have time to read every other post on here.

    When I open a PDF, 99.9999999% of the time my only purpose is to read that document. I am sick of having to minimize right and left menu windows taking up a huge amount of the screen, just so I can read the document. Death by a thousand clicks. Please create a setting to allow an Adobe window to open with these menus minimized.

  7. This version is horrible! It's slow and quite "twitchy". It takes me twice as long to delete a group of thumbnails. I highlight one, press/hold shift to highlight another and the first one I selected becomes unselected. I've been working on the same document for about 20 minutes now trying to delete blank pages sprinkled throughout a 180 page pdf and extract small groups of pages. I keep having to either redo everything or totally close and redo everything. Toolbars are small. Toolbars are on both left and right. Those on the right make no sense (save and print....really? Bug: When searching for a text string and clicking on the right arrow to get to the last search result (say, 5 of 5), then clicking on the left arrow to go back to result #4 (4 of 5), produces unexpected message in a pop-up dialog: "Adobe Acrobat has finished searching the document. No more matches were found."
    I would expect this message to pop up only after the user clicks on the right arrow to go to the next search result past 5 of 5.

  11. I'm not sure who is leading these changes at Adobe but they shouldn't be allowed to have the say anymore. Do you know how much time we have to spend in re-training users when you "re-imagine" the UI? We have so many help tickets trying to assist users with getting back the tools they need to perform their job. How about you leave well enough alone?

    I really wish my employer would find a better alternative that isn't going to change the UI every couple years and cause headaches for everyone. Loss time and wages because some genius at Adobe…

  14. The tool bar is unneccesarily large and floats over the document. Although it is possible to move it, needing to do so every time I want to see the top left corner of my PDF is frustrating.
    Overall there is a lot of bloat and pointless white space on all the menus and side bars, but especially the page side bar. It takes up a quarter of the window area automatically and there is no clear way to change the settings about autolaunching it or prefering a more compact version if it does autolaunch.

In the new UI (on MAC only) the share button does not work, the Scan and OCR brings up blank boxes when choosing Recognize Text in this file, and once you have selected the Scan and OCR if you try to Edit a PDF or Prepare for Accessibility, those boxes are now blacked out. This is not happening on Windows machines. I updated Acrobat on both machines to the latest version (Windows 2024.002.21005 and Mac 2024.002.20964) and uninstalled and reinstalled it on the Mac.   18. I am not a fan of the new interface. This does not improve anything for users. It just changes the side a menu is on and forces users to change they way they interact with a document and how they work in Acrobat every workday.

    That said, if this is to remain this way... Make the menus smaller or allow the user to adjust them. There is a lot of white/empty space between the tools listed and the actual document.

  19. I'm not sure what the purpose of the constant changes to the program's interface is. Why was the toolbar moved from the right side to the left side? What does it mean? I have a problem with that. If I make a tutorial for colleagues at work, every change in the interface can be very confusing. It would probably be best to return the changes in the interface back to the original state.

  20. Most of the time when there is an upgrade you get used to it and after a while see the benefits of it or at least accept the change.
    But I have never seen such an awfull designed UI like with the latest Upgrade.
    Everything is moved for no reason where we are used to locations of buttons and functions. Why is the Save button on top right where in 99% of all other applications its top left same for print etc.

    If someone works with this the first time, he might gets used to it but for me personally…
