  1. After the latest Acrobat Pro DC update, I click on the printer icon and it takes 5-6 seconds before the application begins bringing up the print dialog. Then I click the print button on the print dialog and it takes 15-19 seconds before the document actually begins printing on my HP LaserJet color printer. This is immensely longer than printing took before the update. On the initial click of the printer icon, the title bar actually says "not responding."

  2. We are noticing an error in prints of 3D space from Adobe DC in either Windows 7 or Windows 10. When you print views, sometimes there’s a “White Box” in the middle of the view no matter which medium you print through/to (i.e. physical printer, Adobe PDF, Word Doc, OneNote, etc.).

I attached an example PDF where this behavior can be seen. The original model is included as an attachment in the PDF. The information attached does not have any restrictions. The information in the PDF is correct until you print it.

    Reproduction Steps:
    1. Export a PDF from ACW…

    Hi,

    We already have this feature.
    You can try following workflow:
    1. Open PDF.
    2. Click Print.
    3. In Pages section give Page numbers which you want to print.

If you are still facing issue then let us know the version of Acrobat you are using and workflow you are doing.

    Best Regards!

  4. If I select multiple copies and check the two-sided print option and go back to print, it resets the copies to 1.
Also, the collate option was hard to find being hidden until you select more than 1 copy.

  5. Virtual Printer for Mac
So you can print customised page sizes A1 A2 etc from all software
Used to be a feature but has been removed.
is still a feature on PC.
Other apps are available such as PDF Printer from the App Store that do this.

Need to either have Adobe PDF appear as a printer, or be able to adjust settings under the create pdf button, before it creates the pdf.

currently you can only create a pdf that matches the same size as the document. so you can't print an A4 document onto an A3, A2, A1…

  6. 2) Steps to reproduce the problem:

Being logged into the business account of OfficeDepot.com for the company I work for, and needing to create a PDF of a shopping list of one of my coworkers I will start by:

    a) Either right clicking on the web page or clicking on the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner of the Chrome web browser.
    b) I then locate and click on the "print" option.
    c) When the print window comes up, I change it from a physical printer to Adobe PDF to "print" (create) a PDF of the web page…

  7. When printing a portfolio, the document print in the order they are named. Could you create an option for the portfolio to print in the order the files are in the portfolio? We use Adobe Acrobat for all our bulk printing tasks, and we have to rename the files to make sure they print in order.

  10. When printing an Internet-Document from Firefox 57 the print generates multiple errors if the title of the document to print contains quotation marks. The error box mentions: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2015\Acrobat\Intellektuelle" Diese Datei kann nicht geöffnet werden." (The file could not be opened. Verify the correct location." - should be the approximate translation.)

  11. Hello,

in Acrobat Pro DC 2017 and Acrobat Reader DC 2017, the software often stucks during print of certain pages. Compared 1:1 to Reader XI, the old version also takes more time for these pages compared to the other ones but there is a large difference between there versions. In the attached screenshots you can see the difference between these two versions with the printing job started at the same time. The problem occurs while using Windows 7 and Windows 10.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your valuable feedback.
Adobe is working with Microsoft to resolve the problem. Meanwhile, you can manually tweak the registry as a workaround,
    Steps:
    1. Open the registry by going to Run (Windows menu + R), typing regedit.exe, and then clicking OK.
    2.Do the following:

Based on your installed version of product and release, navigate to the location and create a corresponding key of type DWORD (Wow6432Node only if your machine is 64-bit).
Create the key FeatureState at the location listed below; the key is not present by default.
    For Acrobat DC 2017:

    Key: 4033257
    Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\(Wow6432Node)\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureState

For more refer to page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/prn-files-using-pcl-printing-increases-file-size.html
    Is this resolve your issue?

    Best Regards!

  13. A document was scanned and sent to a client, and they digitally signed it with either an app or a program, and returned it to us. Adobe Acrobat recognized these signatures as pencil edits, but would not print them. I could create additional pencil edits, and those would show up when printing, but not the original ones.

"Document and Markups" was selected in the Comments & Forms section of the print options dialog box.
"Print Notes and Popups" was enabled in the Comment preferences.

  14. It would be great to have a pdf inspection mode to easily select items in the pdf and get printing specs on it like the ink type (pms, cmyk) and color used (pms 281, C100M60Y0K6), the font, the resolution of an image as dpi at the current used size, etc.

Thanks for your valuable feedback. We have recorded it in our database.

However,Before printing you can check default value through:
    Go to ‘PrintProduction>outputPreview’
Select ObjectInspector from preview drop down and you can check default value.
Hope this will serve you purpose.
    Please keep updating.

  17. Prior to Adobe DC, one option for printing was to "print color as black". This was different from 'Gray scale" in that lighter colors (like yellow and pink) would come out as light gray. For folks printing line drawings (piping and electrical diagrams), this is a NECESSITY since the gray scale lines are almost illegible.

Previous versions permitted this or provided a work around to print like this.

Please reintroduce this to the options, otherwise, we have to use other software to generate the files.

If this capability does exist, please make the option simple to find.

    Hi,

    Thanks for you valuable feedback.
To Print color as black you can try this:
Select Print, then the Advanced button. Under Color Management, scroll nearly to the bottom of Color Profile. There you’ll find Black & White. Select this, then, OK, the Print.
    Is this solve your issue?

    Best Regards!

  18. In Acrobat XI Pro and Acrobat DC, when using the Advanced settings in Print, items such as Screening do not actually persist with saved custom profiles. If you select settings and save it under a new profile, switch to another and then view the profile where you had the desired settings, the settings will be found to never have saved in the first place.

Additionally there is no way to save these custom profiles as a default.

    Hi

Thanks for your valuable feedback. We have added it as a bug in our database.

  19. If I want to print a file from any program (anyway Microsoft Word or any picture or any drawing from my CAD Programm) with the printer "adobe.pdf" as pdf, it always produces a portrait format-pdf, even if the original file is in cross-format. Attached files as sample.
    Maybe it is a bug?

    Hi,

While printing you have to select Landscape mode.
Go to ‘File>Print>Printer Properties>Layout>Orientation’ select Lanscape.

    Best Regards!

  20. The operator ‘showpage’ should push a piece of paper through the printer; ‘erasepage’ should not. Analogously, erasepage should not add a page to a PDF.

In XI Pro 11.0.21 (26/07/2017), the following code makes a two-page file, the second page being blank. It should be a one-pager. This bug has cost me hours of attempting to debug my PostScript.

    %!PS

    /Helvetica-Bold 36 selectfont

36 36 moveto (First page) show
    showpage

36 36 moveto (Second page) show
    erasepage
