  1. We are currently experiencing a problematic issue concerning validating signatures in PDF files created with Adobe PRO. We are using a third party platform that places the signatures (3 signers) and its audittrail into the PDF with a Hash. All signings are placed succesfully but after i download the file again it will not validate the signatures because the file has been changed according to Adobe. This, however, is not the case and Foxit PDF does succesfully validate the signatures. After some research we have learned that Adobe registers a change between the placing the last signature and the time…

  3. It is not possible to change the by default black color for signature in ADOBE SIGN (see customer service chat attached)

This is a strong requisite in some countries. If this can not be met we will need to move to other signature software that allows this option.

I see this option is already available in Adobe Reader Fill and Sign for IOS so PLEASE include this option for ADOBE SIGN since it looks like an easy fix.

If this is not possible please provide the reason to try to understand the limitation.

  4. The creator of a document can edit a password protected PDF by using their regular account password. Or perhaps there is a recovery system for a forgotten password, like email, text, questions, etc.

  5. The protection for editing does not work at all under mac Os and the popular PDF editor "PDF Expert". With preview the PDF`s cannot be edited, but with PDF-Expert it is possible without any password. A joke! Such "security" is completely useless.

  6. We just notcied a strange behavior of Acrobat/Adobe Reader (DC 2019.021.20056) and found the root cause:

There's a generated PDF that uses standard fonts which are referenced through the AcroForm default resources entry, too. Strangely the font has a Name entry in its dictionary:

    3 0 obj
    <</Type/Font/Subtype/Type1/BaseFont/Helvetica/Name/F1/Encoding/WinAnsiEncoding>>
    endobj

We add 2 signature fields with our own tool and certify/sign one field. This results in a valid document, which you can download here (https://customers.setasign.com/adobe/document-with-name-in-font.pdf). Do not wonder, there's really only a single line on the page.

When you open this document in Adobe Acrobat or Reader and sign…

  8. Under customizing quick tools, I've added the protect -> Encrypt item to quick tools. When launching a new PDF I can easily click the padlock and choose 2. encrypt with password on my PDFs.

However, if you go to Edit then Preferences, under the general category, uncheck 'Open documents as new tabs in the same window (requires relaunch)'. Close and reopen any PDF, I can no longer choose 2. encrypt with password. Can you please fix this bug

  9. Prevent 3rd Party applications to hack or remove password protected documents. Encrypt Password Protected PDF, so if it's hacked the sensitive data is not compromised.

  10. I digitally sign a lot of invoices. I'm not filling in a field, just creating a box that fills with my digital signature. It used to take me a couple of clicks in the old version. Now I have to do Tools, certificates, select the signature, click on a box and a button... And then the next time I open a PDF I have to go through the whole thing again, because the tool bar config is not saved. This is a huge waste of time and I'm VERY dissatisfied with this release.

  11. Since Adobe Pro is asking for a password for every document we try to edit or combine. Appears same happened last year when a new version was released. https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2452664

  14. It took me several days to find where one can remove a "to do" message to sign a document that popped up on the acrobat document list. It was over a year old and not important or wanted. It is not obvious what one should do to manage the message to deal with it or make it go away.

I did figure out how, but it is not documented to well. nor could I find any mention in the help system.

  15. The sign in screen is preventing me from accessing the program by popping up over and over, even after I enter my username and password. It might get to the "Check out the new Acrobat Reader DC" and a button that says "Start Tour" that pops up and it will not go away or do anything else. What is the fix for this? I have many important documents in the cloud. Thanks.

  17. In Adobe XI we were able to sign things without creating an account and a digital ID. It just brought up a box that could be drawn in, aka the Ink Signature.

Adobe DC needs a way to use the Ink Signature without creating an account every time. Our workflow demands that hundreds of people sign documents, and every person who comes in should not have to create an account to sign a simple form.

  18. Send & Track emails do not have aligned RFC5321.MailFrom and RFC5322.From fields, thus fail DMARC checking as per acrobat.com policy of "p=reject", which instructs receiving MTAs to reject or bounce misaligned messages.

    Proof attached.

    Please either:
    A) allow users to change the RFC5322.From field in the product UI
    B) or, create a separate subdomain for Send & Track messages with DMARC policy of "p=none"

    This will ensure better deliverability.

  19. Usually when something needs to be digitally signed or validated with a certificate, it's because it is upper management. In my experience, upper management tend to be on the move a lot more and since certificates are only available to their computer, it would be handy if they could also digitally sign from their phone. This is also very useful when they're on vacation too.

  20. Product manuals are often secured and one can print but not comment, hi-lite or otherwise mark up important info would be helpful. Such "edits" could be a different layer and not integral to the original document. Even disclaimer text or ownership of such edits could be water-marked into the file.
