  2. In Adobe XI we were able to sign things without creating an account and a digital ID. It just brought up a box that could be drawn in, aka the Ink Signature.

Adobe DC needs a way to use the Ink Signature without creating an account every time. Our workflow demands that hundreds of people sign documents, and every person who comes in should not have to create an account to sign a simple form.

  3. Send & Track emails do not have aligned RFC5321.MailFrom and RFC5322.From fields, thus fail DMARC checking as per acrobat.com policy of "p=reject", which instructs receiving MTAs to reject or bounce misaligned messages.

    Proof attached.

    Please either:
    A) allow users to change the RFC5322.From field in the product UI
    B) or, create a separate subdomain for Send & Track messages with DMARC policy of "p=none"

    This will ensure better deliverability.

  4. Usually when something needs to be digitally signed or validated with a certificate, it's because it is upper management. In my experience, upper management tend to be on the move a lot more and since certificates are only available to their computer, it would be handy if they could also digitally sign from their phone. This is also very useful when they're on vacation too.

  5. Product manuals are often secured and one can print but not comment, hi-lite or otherwise mark up important info would be helpful. Such "edits" could be a different layer and not integral to the original document. Even disclaimer text or ownership of such edits could be water-marked into the file.

  6. Multiple components of the Acrobat suite are writing to various sub-directories of Program Files (Adobe, Common Files\Adobe) as a user-mode process. In some cases, this is accommodated by modification to the default ACL model of the directories to allow the process to perform these writes, or it is relying on the UAC VirtualStore to re-direct the writes to a per-user location.

This is not the security model of Windows and these types of writes should either be going to the user's profile or \programdata\ when the permissions model supports this behavior natively. Having user-mode processes write to Program Files causes…

  7. Hello, the signatures made on a PDF with the identification card of Spain (DNIe) the product does not manage to validate it correctly since the hierarchy that signs the OCSP response has been modified and instead of being signed by a subordinate the root itself does.

The OCSP response is signed by the following certificate:

    https://www.dnie.es/descargas/certificados/Ocsp_Responder_AV_DNIE_FNMT_AC_RAIZ_DNIE_2_0320 18.zip

This certificate is issued directly by the Root Authority:
    https://www.dnie.es/ZIP/ACRAIZ-DNIE2.zip

Why does the PDF indicate "certificate not valid for use?

There is a test set available to make a valid signature and another with certificate revoked at this link:
    https://www.dnie.es/descargas/certificados/Set_Certificados_Pruebas.rar

    Thank you very…

  9. The feature "Restrict editing/copying" under Permissions not working when allowing printing. This is a problem as I need to send documents where people can read/print them but shouldn't be able to copy/edit the text to protect our intelectual property as much as possible.
I have worked with the Adobe support team and they have acknowledged the bug and asked me to detail it here. Please include a fix in your next release, thanks.

  13. Our county's superior court system requires that we e-file all documents into the court; upon filing a document with the system ("LINX"), LINX timestamps it.

This doesn't work with a certified e-signed document, because Adobe locks the document from future editing. If I try to e-file a certified copy, LINX immediately rejects the file, because of course LINX can't timestamp it.

I'm forced to print out the file, physically scan it again, and e-file the document that I had e-signed in the first place! Am I missing a checkbox somewhere that I can check, to force Adobe to allow editing…

Need Info  ·  Amboo Srivastava responded

    Hi Molly, Kevin,

    Thanks for writing to us.

From what I understand, you require your PDF to be digitally signed again, after you have shared it after certifying and digitally signing by your signature? Can you please try these steps and see if this is what you require:

    1. Open PDF in Acrobat DC. From Tools→ select ‘Prepare form’ app and click Start. Add (at least) 2 signature fields from top toolbar and save the document
    2. Right click on the first signature field and select ‘Certify with visible signature’. In the Certify Document dialog that comes up, under ‘Permitted Actions After Certifying’, select ‘Form fill-in and digital signatures’
    3. Now sign the document by adding your signature
    4. Send the document to LINX now

Does this solve your problem? Please let us know.

    Thanks,
    -amboo

  14. Currently, if you PDF a document and added the current Protection features in order to stop it from being converted back to Word. You can actually upload it to many PDF to Word converters on the internet and it will convert the PDF document back to Word without asking for the password. So a better security feature is needed. Especially for company sensitive documents that I want to PDF, protect and stop anyone from converting back to word.

    Dear User,

While implementing password protection, Acrobat warns user that ,third party apps may not honor the permissions that are being set on the file. Please open the file in Acrobat/Reader itself to honor the permissions.
Or you can protect the document with certificate .

  15. I got tax return statement from my accountant and opened it in Adobe acrobat, but now it keeps glitching and asking for the password multiple times. I already put in the password before the tab opened and now with the document open it asks for password but then nothing happens in the text box when I type!
If I try to type without seeing the password in the text box, the app freezes.

other solution, failed on receivers end: Opened doc within email app on iphone to sign documents -> but then receiver couldn't open signed form

  16. Cant easily digitally sign a document on multiple pages. You need to sign each page of the document, then close them. Then combine them. Then sign it. Then close it. Then open it. Then edit. Then finally after your hair falls out you sign each page. This is the most cumbersome process.... It just awful, please fix this.

  17. I works paperless. Widows File Explorer allows previews of documents without having to open them. PDF are quicker to view than Word documents. However, PDF documents from emails or the internet now have a Blocked status that prevents them being previewed. This means you have to unblock them all which takes time and they don't become immediately previewable. This is very very frustrating and time consuming.

I thought i had found a fix at work but it didn't work. I don't seem to have the same options on my personal laptop even though operating systems are the same.

  18. Although we understand that the option to view login logs is currently unavailable, we would like to request this feature be considered for future enhancements.
Specifically, enabling login logs visibility for Admins—or alternatively, providing a mechanism to fetch these logs upon request—would be extremely helpful for investigations and security audits.
Such logs play a critical role in:

    Identifying login patterns and anomalies
    Resolving access-related incidents efficiently
Strengthening enterprise security and compliance efforts

Implementing this feature would greatly assist enterprise customers in maintaining robust security practices. Please let us know if this request can be forwarded to the relevant product team…

  19. Proposed Functionality:
    - PDFs would contain digital signature fields in the same position (XFA or AcroForm).
    - The user clicks the digital signature field on one PDF and is then able to select multiple other PDFs to sign in the same location.

This functionality currently exists in Foxit PDF Editor and has proven to be a valuable tool for users.

    Benefits:
    - Reduces task time significantly.
    - Improves efficiency for workflows involving repetitive document signing.

While Adobe offers online services for signing, this request is specific to the local application.
