  1. We were able to switch between different views in a portfolio through the options available in menu bar in Acrobat XI

    Acrobat Pro 2017 does not offer that shortcut. (atleast I have not been able to find it)
    Now the long procedure requires me to go View>Portfolio>Details/Layout

    whereas

    Acrobat XI has those buttons right on top by the name (1) Layout and (2) Files

    Is there anyway to have this feature enabled? or can Adobe include it in its next update

  2. Every time I open Acrobat I have to select "show stamp names" in the stamp tool. This should be selectable as a default setting. There is no reason why "show tiny illegible stamp thumbnails" should be the default.

  3. We are testing a PDF, created with Acrobat pro DC. The hyperlinks work on our desktop PC's. All hyperlinks, except for the email hyperlink, work on iphone 4 and i phone 8. We are using current Acrobat reader app as default reader. please help.

  4. Since I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, it causes my Microsoft Word to crash nearly every time I open it. I tried to remove the Adobe add-ons to Word, and that helped the situation, but they always come back, and then my Word (Windows 7) starts crashing again. Sometimes on a subsequent startup it works again, then crashes again. I have seen this problem addressed in the last three years in various forums and I expected updates from both companies to resolve this issue, but it has not. What's the problem?

  5. This is to some extent a refinement or extension of other questions here. One of the things I have to do just often enough to not have it "habit" is batch processing of PDF files, usually to reduce file size. I have a custom tool created, and have now figured out how to "find it" when I open Acrobat.

    Assuming one has gotten to this point, there are two specific functions that would make this much easier, based on what makes sense to this user: I want to be able to drag files "somewhere" to process them.

  6. Livecycle:

    After accessing a Excel sheet as a dataconnection. Sending email will crash Adobe Acrobat DC with no error.
    Also if you start by sending an email, you can't Work with Excel sheet as a dataconnection.
    The problem is not there when using a normal mssql as a odbc source.

    The error is reproduceable. I have attached a pdf to show the problem.

    All fully updated:
    Windows 10 Pro
    Adobe Acrobat DC
    Office 365 og office 2013
    Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016(latest odbc driver for xlsx files)

  8. Acrobat takes nearly 1 min to load.
    Takes another minute to load a document (between 300K - 1000K). Takes several mins to load anything large (> 10MB).

  9. As I am sure happens with other customers, we have an issue where some of our PDF documents were damaged. A data room service had an incident where downloaded files were truncated. In some cases, the files will not open in Adobe, but they will open in other programs such as Microsoft Edge or SumatraPDF. This is because the footer is damaged, but while Adobe will not open a file that is missing the %%EOF statement or other portions of the PDF document specification, these programs ignore some portions of the specification that are not essential to the data within…

  13. Mac Acrobat always stuck when opening a file from document cloud. Though it is downloading but the system regarded as it was dead. Also, when scrolling in file, or in viewing PDFs, the frame rate is low, about 15 frame per second, or even lower,(5fps). When the search box is open. It is not so friendly on Mac compared to the acrobat on iPad or iPhone, or even the web version!

  14. When clicking on a bitmap image with Output Preview's Object Inspector, the image resolution reported is incorrect. It works as expected with color and grayscale images, but not bitmap (1 bit black and white). My test image is 3"x3" @ 600 PPI. When clicked on with the Object Inspector, Output Preview reports 129,600 PPI.
    Acrobat Pro DC 2019.012 for macOS.

Many issues - generally really don't like the new format because it's much harder to get to simple things like "create a red box", "add text", "edit text", "add signature", etc. But also is critically screwing up my documents in ways that make it untenable to work with. If possible, I would get off of this product (I can't because my employer buys the licenses) and here are the reasons why:

  19. Using the "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin" to convert a word document to pdf. If the font is Georgia and is set to italics, when the pdf is viewed in Chrome it shows the italic text as bold. When viewed using Acrobat or Reader, the font appears correct. It does not happen when using any other pdf converter (i.e. office's built-in converter) so it appears to be limited to the PDFMaker tool.

  20. Upgrade version 2017.011.30142 from (old version) 2017.011.30138 caused issues with Protected View.

    Error: Adobe freezes when clicking "Enable all features".
    OS: Windows 10 X64 1803
    - Only occurs with fillable PDFs
    - Definitely isolated the issue to the upgrade on 4 computers. Older version works perfectly.
