I've made rectangles and arrows in addition to verbal comments to indicate placement changes on page layouts for locked PDFs from an overseas production vendor (I think the requests were getting lost in translation). It would have been much easier to create/reference a dummy page with low resolution or lightened placeholders that I could have adjusted. And it would be a bonus if those placeholders referenced the original objects for the changes to be accepted/applied by the owner of the PDF.

  2. When highlighting in the newest version of Acrobat Pro, one may select the highlight feature and then highlight the text, just as one would do with a physical highlighter. When using the "Insert text at cursor" feature, however, one must first place the cursor in the desired location and then select the insert text feature. This seems inconsistent with the highlight feature. I don't recall this being the case in the previous version and I'm having trouble getting use to the change. (One of many.)

  3. As you are well aware, the users of Adobe Acrobat (or similar products) usually apply ‘Highlight Text’ to highlight or summarize parts of the text or the book that they are reading in PDF format.

    After finishing to read the text, if the user can have the ability to extract (in one step) all the highlighted parts in the format of a MS Word or other PDF file; this can be very handy and helpful; since this way the user can easily make an outlined summary of the read text or book ready for future references.

  4. Highlight & Comment Simultaneously -- Adobe used to have this capability. It is sorely missed in Adobe Pro 2017!! Please bring it back!

  5. When selecting edits in the Comments panel with the new 2019 Acrobat Pro DC, the background of an active comment is in a light gray screen. My previous versions of Acrobat Pro displayed selected comments in a light color, which made them easier to read and locate when working on a document that has hundreds/thousands of comments. This should be added as a global preference option in the Comments panel.

    In the latest update of Acrobat DC, we have modernize the commenting experience and at the same time, made it very clean and intuitive to use.
    As part of this update, we have changed the background color of the active comment as dark grey color to differentiate from other comments.
    On hovering other comments, the background color of the comment changes to light grey to bring the comment in focus.

    However we will consider your suggestion for future updates.

  6. having 3 steps to complete a comment is now REALLY frustrating. when it was just a check box on the comment it was alot smarter and quicker. not sure why this was hidden in a menu 2 layers down.
    Suggest putting it back on the actual comment.

  7. A recent update made the circles in the corners of lines drawn with the pencil tool or small stamps applied absolutely HUGE, obscuring the line/stamp itself as well as the text below it.

    This makes it near impossible to properly position a line/stamp and also to see what the heck it is when you select it in the comments pane.

    I work in publishing, and we need to be able to precisely place proofreading marks and be able to read them so we can see what to do with the source text file.

  8. since upate whem rotating a custom stamp instead of rotating it minimizes. Raju from CS logged onto my computer saw it and tried to fix but to now avail.

  10. A customer explained that he opened a document shared for review in Acrobat. He was working with a colleague who was adding comments in the same review on the web. While comments were syncing periodically, he wanted the option to manually check for new comments in addition.

  11. I view PDFs on a 27" screen so two open PDFs fit side by side, making review easier. I no longer see the % field in the tool section at top of each PDF. While I can, with multiple steps (4), change the view % size, it used to be so easy to just change the visible % field as needed—1 step. Usually, I need the annotated PDF at 75% and the revised PDF at 100% (this allows for the wide comment column to be seen.). I have searched all the tool preferences that I can find, but can not…

When using the latest Acrobat DC to share Adobe LiveCycle Dynamic Form for review on the cloud, I was able to receive the document on the participant side, but the document didn't show, instead I see a message as usual because it is a dynamic form, which is expected. But, I was able to use commenting tools online to draw and add comments, which seemed very strange. When I opened the document from the originating reviewer using Acrobat, I saw the comments and drawing, which is shocking. I tried to add comments, it didn't let me, which is expected. Please…

  16. When I need to move a text box, I have to move the cursor over the box many times (or enlarge the text box) because the move pointer doesn't show up. It's extremely frustrating and a waste of time.

  17. Just wanted to let you all know that it appears that the notes ("add note to text") part of Acrobat Pro DC and Acrobat Reader has not been updated to match the Retina displays of Macbooks as the other parts of the program have. When you click the note it shows up correct resolution... when you mouse over it... it comes up old pixelated low resolution.

  18. When drawing an arrow with the arrow tool in the Comment Tool section, the tip of the arrow should be pointed. Instead, it looks like this (see image below). I am a proofreader by profession. I cannot use the tool because visually, it's too distracting. I would use this tool often, however, if the arrow had the pointed tip that it SHOULD.

  19. After completed adding comments from all the people, I downloaded the comments as fdf file and imported to the original file ("save as an Archived file" is not available today), and found the comments quality is changed. it is no problem during online shared review, but after download the place of comments are changed. especially Strikethrough is terrible. It needs manually checking.

    Also the strikethrough color is really different from online and desktop. it is really clear online, but the same strikethrough is almost invisible on desktop.

    Please fix this bug soon please.

  20. Custom stamp isn't populating the Stamp icon in Acrobat DC Pro for some Macs even when it is in the Stamp Folder. The custom stamp works on all Windows OS and all Mac OS but a few Mac users are having that issue.

    Hello,

    Most likely this seems to be an issue with the permissions with a user profile on the system, please try the following steps and check if that helps.
    1. Create a new user profile on the affected Mac machine, and test the scenario again.
    2. Check the permission on Adobe folder and Sub-folders, match with non-affected Mac machines:

    Location of Adobe folder:

    It’s in your user (Home) > Library folder. In recent versions of Mac OSX, this is hidden by default.

    In the Finder, hold down the Option key first while choosing Go > Library so you can see it.

    Then find it in:
    Library > Application Support > “Adobe” > Acrobat > DC > Stamps
