  1. I have recently upgraded my Mac operating system to Mac OS High Sierra version 10.13.1. Since doing this, I am unable to use the Mac Finder in alphabetical order to drag and drop / file pdf's from Adobe Acrobat Pro onto my Mac flash storage (the folders are no longer in alphabetical order and are displayed in a random mixed order). The same applies when you print to pdf and then try and file on Finder.

I would note that Finder itself accessed directly (i.e. not through Adobe) works as it is designed to and you can select any of…

    Hi,
How files/folder are sorted in any finder window is solely the business of your operating system and not Actobat. Are you facing this just with Adobe PDFs?

  2. Google Chrome = Latest Version
    Acrobat X Pro
Observation: Had no problem prior until 7/28/2017 when I noticed I had problem printing from a webpage (e.g. eBay.com) to PDF using Adobe Acrobat print driver. The printing would stall and this Distiller error would show up each time. Also strange is, I could clear this error message other than restarting my computer. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Open a file in a Mac OS application.
Click the PDF button and choose Save As Adobe PDF.
Choose the Adobe PDF Settings and click Continue.
Type a name for your file, and click Save.

  4. Customer sent in a business card as a pdf file. I open the file in Adobe Acrobat 10 is shows the complete card with colored background. I open the same file in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and the coloured background is no longer there and will not print as part of the card. If i open the said file in Illustrator and resave it as a pdf, it appears on Acrobat DC. This situation has occurred 3 or 4 times since getting DC approx. 1 month ago. Not very confident in Adobe DC printing what is in file.

  5. Distiller XI Pro 11.0.20 (28/03/2017), and many previous versions, crash “… /Font resourceforall”. Try the following code:

    %!PS
    (*) {
    /FontName exch def FontName = {FontName cvn 48 selectfont} stopped pop
    } 65535 string /Font resourceforall

    crashes with:

%%[ Error: invalidaccess; OffendingCommand: def ]%%

without the “{…} stopped” construct it crashes with:

    NanumPen
%%[ Error: invalidfont; OffendingCommand: findfont; ErrorInfo: CharOffsets –
    and some non-ASCII characters.

This problem started in about 2013, after an ‘upgrade’ to the Mac OS somehow altered something about fonts. Please could Distiller’s font handling be improved, even if only to honour ‘stopped’.

    (There are about 2½k…

  6. I am a Prepress tech using an APPE workflow, the most current release. I have been seeing problems, since my upgrade and the advent of the CC, with PDF 1.4 being submitted for print. Mostly transparency problems. I have people modify their Adobe Press Quality PDF Preset to PDF 1.7, from InDesign. It helps greatly. Also makes me feel more confident in the soft proofing process, as v1.7 passes my EnFocus and RIP preflights better than lesser PDF versions. And I know this is an InDesign PDF export setting problem, but it is a Distiller preset, available within Indy. Can…

  7. In Distiller XI Pro 11.0.20 (28.03.2017), distill the following:

    %!PS
    /StrokeCode {1 setlinejoin gsave 0 setlinecap 24 setlinewidth 0 setgray stroke grestore 1 setlinecap 9.6 setlinewidth 1 setgray stroke} def
    144 72 moveto 144 144 2 copy 72 144 curveto
    72 144 moveto 144 144 2 copy 144 72 curveto
    StrokeCode
    showpage

The moveto should start a new sub-path; display of that point should be determined by setlinecap not by setlinejoin. Alas, Distiller causes it to be determined by setlinejoin.

  8. A "Print as Handouts" feature similar to the 2x6 feature in Microsoft PowerPoint. It is common for lecture slides to be released as single slide per page pdf documents, rather than the original PPT file. Because of this, you can only choose to print a number of pages per page (slides per page) in Adobe Acrobat but there is no option, like in powerpoint, for handouts (that is, have 3 slides/pages on the left side of a sheet and 3 boxes to the right that are blank with ruled lines on it for taking notes).

  9. I cannot print my certificates from Acrobat now. I have to move to word to print each page with a boarder. This started with the update. I print many certs a day and this takes far more time and changes the font. If it does not have a boarder I can print. This is frustrating and a waste of time. I did not have this problem before.

  11. Hello! First: Why does this page do not exist in German?? Don't you have any paying clients outside the US??
Second: Acrobat Pro DC can not print EAN codes in Mac OS Mojave anymore. White fields are grey and cannot be read by any scanner!!! The Apple app „Preview" can do it!!!

  17. It is very nasty when you want to print a lot of sheets but allways selecting only first 2 pages:

    you must FIRST select PAGES,
only after THAT you can enter or change the page numbers.

    MY suggestion:
Clicking into the number field will suddenly select the page selection automatically! And you can insert/change page numbers skipping
    ONE unnecassary step.

maybe it seems to be seconds, but do that thing hundred times and more...

  18. Just updated to the new version (19.008.20071) as of yesterday and noticed when printing a larger document (A4) and have it "Shrink Oversized Pages" to print onto a letter size paper, it will print as if correctly but cuts off the top "inch" of the actual printed text as if that was the end of the page, in which it can still print in that section, but the scaling down process is somehow bugged out.
