  1. Even in the latest public beta of MacOS 11, overall performance of Acrobat is sluggish. The app may take over a second to respond to a page scroll request via track pad and scrolling will be choppy.

    Hi,

Sorry for the issue that you are facing here.

We tried this at our end but couldn’t get a reproducible case.

Could you please share your BigSur Beta10 Machine configuration/System Information?

Also could you please share a Screen recording video of the sluggish behavior that you observe?

    Thanks
    Ayush Jain

  2. Dear Adobe:

Please redesign the icon graphic for the "insert page" button in Acrobat. Right now, the icon looks too similar to the "extract page" icon, and does not seem to match the action that it causes. This is confusing and makes the software less intuitive.

The "insert page" icon shows an arrow that originates in the center of a single page and points outside of that page. This suggests that something is being taken OUT of the page/document, when in fact the "insert" action is exactly the opposite. In other words, the arrow should originate from outside of the…

  3. I want to remove the new share icons that were added with the DC cloud app. They are taking up prime menu bar real estate and I need that space for my quick access tools. I also wish Adobe would program size options for the menu bar icons so I can choose smaller icons in order to have more of them fit in the greatly reduced menu bar that you've given us.

  6. I was trying to use the Compare Files tool with two PDFs, but when I clicked "Compare" I was prompted with this error "Expected a dict object." (See CleanShot 2020-09-17 at 16.16.02) Afterward the Acrobat application ceased to function normally and I had to restart. After attempting to open one of the files, it became clear that the PDF was damaged in some way. I'm not able to attach the damaged PDF here, but I'm sure it's easy to find one to reproduce the error.

A more helpful error message in the Compare Files tool would be one that…

  7. At the moment it seems that the "Prompt when closing multiple tabs" setting ONLY applies to the action of closing a a window using the X button.

It would be much less frustrating when you accidentally hit CTRL+Q (when trying ti actually hit CTRL+W) if Adobe at least gave you a prompt before closing everything.

  8. When DC Pro is set to single page display (scrolling is easier/more precise) ctrl+a only selects the current page

Adobe say this is not a bug, but I believe it is because ctrl+a should select all, not just the page being viewed

As this basic functionality is altered by a simple setting it is a bug

So they suggested making a feature request

Please make DC Pro select all (not just the current page) when the select all shortcut is used while in single page mode

  11. The default unit setting for a fresh installation or a new updated version of Acrobat is always on Inches. even though my system is set to metric and I'm in Europe.

It would be great if Acrobat would choose a default unit that fits the system settings or regional standard.

  12. At the bottom of the tools panel information is located about my adobe plan.
The issue with this information area is, that it is animated. When opening Acrobat, this area is fist empty, then it pops up information about adobe cloud and then changes to information about my plan.

This is the only part of the GUI that's "animated". This is very distracing, as a GUI should - without user input - only be "animated" if there is something important going on.
For daily work (which might include opening and closing acrobat a lot) the information presented there is not…

  13. Make feedback simple. Like it used to be for software. Just click on a feedback button in the application and type your feedback. This web based, second party system is absurd.

  14. I use the Dark Theme for accessibility because of light sensitivity.

When using Dark Theme, many of the Navigation Panes (including Bookmarks, Content, Order, Tags, and probably others) display black text on a dark grey background, instead of properly switching to light colored text. I think there are other parts of the UI that have this same problem, but I can't enumerate all of them.

The lack of contrast makes these parts of the UI effectively unusable in Dark Theme. Using low screen brightness (again, because of light sensitivity) exacerbates the issue. The bug is very easy to reproduce because…

  15. Hi

With the update, we got find window as black.
Its such a poor design as the black window always come in the way of screen capture and while printing, printer uses so much ink.

Request to make the find window light colour, it will also help our eyes!

    Hi

Thanks for Reaching out to us for your concerns.
Looks like the Zoom settings of your bookmark are set to FitWidth.

Requesting you to kindly change the Zoom properties of your bookmark to set it to FitPage or Inherit Zoom.

Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks
