Acrobat hangs when internet connection is unreliable (timeouts)
My Internet connection was unreliable (there were a lot of timeouts) due to a partial outage at my ISP. This caused Acrobat DC to hang immediately upon opening it (I suppose because it couldn't reach some server). Switching to a more reliable connection fixed the problem immediately.
Adobe, you should make Acrobat more resilient against unreliable Internet connections. Not being able to open PDF files due to a spotty connection is unacceptable.

Emailing PDF Files
I do not like the fact that I cannot just simply send a PDF as an email attachment any longer with the new upgrade 10-3-18.
Having to go through all the steps of going the the share process is very inconvenient when you have to send hundreds of different PDF through the course of the day.
9 votesHi,
Could you please follow the steps in the below article to use the email icon to send PDF directly as email attachment.

Cannot default to "show stamp names"
Every time I open Acrobat I have to select "show stamp names" in the stamp tool. This should be selectable as a default setting. There is no reason why "show tiny illegible stamp thumbnails" should be the default.

California Court Ruling for Bates Numbering Has Changed
The California ruling for filing court documents as of January 2019 requires the exhibit number of a PDF to be included with the Bates stamp. This means that the exhibit number needs to be able to change for each PDF file that you are batch stamping while the bates stamp changes for each page in each sequential Exhibit file. In short, an "Exhibit X of X" or "File Name" needs to be added to the header/footer options so legal professionals can continue to bates stamp their court files in batches. Adding the Exhibit number to each PDF file separately defeats…

Microsoft Word crashes since Adobe added extra tabs
Since I installed Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, it causes my Microsoft Word to crash nearly every time I open it. I tried to remove the Adobe add-ons to Word, and that helped the situation, but they always come back, and then my Word (Windows 7) starts crashing again. Sometimes on a subsequent startup it works again, then crashes again. I have seen this problem addressed in the last three years in various forums and I expected updates from both companies to resolve this issue, but it has not. What's the problem?

Fast, automated batch file processing
This is to some extent a refinement or extension of other questions here. One of the things I have to do just often enough to not have it "habit" is batch processing of PDF files, usually to reduce file size. I have a custom tool created, and have now figured out how to "find it" when I open Acrobat.
Assuming one has gotten to this point, there are two specific functions that would make this much easier, based on what makes sense to this user: I want to be able to drag files "somewhere" to process them.
Photoshop (and Acrobat…

Action crashes with too many files
I'm using Acrobat Pro 11.0.0 on Windows 10. Running an action to convert pdf to pdf/a. If an input folder is specified to process and the folder has a large number of files, the Action stops at about file #250 with an error message that a .dll file (sorry I didn't get the full file name) is missing or corrupt. Have to use Task Manager to close Acrobat. Works well if number of files is less than about 250.

When I open a PDF and choose the save command or save from the File menu, the "save" screen that pops up is blank. This is a significant functionality that is critical to using the software.

Acrobat Pro won't open
I have used Acrobat Pro for years without a problem. I am using version 9 on a Mac running 10.13.6.
I used CleanMyMac yesterday to clean out some files and after restart Acrobat Pro won't open. The first thing that happens is that I get a message saying that Acrobat Pro wants to make changes and I need to put in my password. I do that and then Pro crashes. If I don't put in my password, I get a second error message that says Authentication Failed. I've attached screenshots of both.
I assume I deleted something I shouldn't have.…

The mouse wheel is a great tool for scrolling through pages. However, sometimes it skips a page, instead of flipping to the next. Can you please fix this?
