  1. Please stop charging for basic features like being able to edit a PDF. If I make a PDF and add text to it, I should be able to do as I wish with it. It shouldn't be fixed in place and require a subscription just to change it.

Same goes for being able to rotate a page. Features such as these shouldn't be hidden behind a pay wall.

  2. No matter how minimal of a folder-level script that I create (even with comments only), I am seeing "Exception in line 1 of function top_level, script App:Init" in the debugger console. If I remove all user scripts leaving only debugger.js, the message goes away.

I have tried to catch the exception and the error never actually throws into the "catch()".

  4. Acrobat Pro DC Bug (version 21.007 using Windows 10)

This is a new bug, so suggests it relates to a recent update.

When Splitting a PDF file via Top Level Bookmark.
You receive the following error message (see screenshot).

"The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different file name or in a different folder".

Trying either of the above suggestions will not work and you continue to receive the same error message when attempting to split the file.

The only way to get around this, is to manually select…

  5. 10-14, 96-103, 108-115, 127-135, 146-153 It would be helpful if we could split pdf with page range like above. It will create separate pdf for every page range. This feature is available in Nitro pdf. Foxit users also can do this with extract feature. Please consider this feature .

  6. I was just trying to redact a 300-page PDF with nearly 3,000 financial figures all starting with "$" but there is no way to redact that automatically. I'd have to go select each one individually which would take much too long. I can "search and redact" for all instances of "$" but it only highlights that symbol for redaction, not all of the numbers that follow. It seems like there should be a way to auto redact financial figures and maybe even percentages.

  7. ACROBAT has problems viewing files larger than 200 inches.
This is something 10 years old at least, as you can read here:
    https://graphics-unleashed.com/2011/06/large-dimension-pdf-files-are-fine-adobe-is-the-problem/
    Please fix it!!

  9. If I create a brand new destination within a PDF using Acrobat Pro DC, then host that PDF on a web server, and then open up and navigate to that Destination via a web browser via the #[Destination] or #nameddest=[Destination] anchor tag (it makes no difference which browser), it will properly take me to that destination. However, if I then change that Destination in Acrobat Pro DC by moving to a different location in the document, and using the "Set Destination" option in the context menu of the Destination, and then rehost the PDF on a web server and attempt…

  10. The latest release of Acrobat Reader DC crashes when a PDF is accessed through an ActiveX control, such as Microsoft's CHM viewer. This has drastic effects on several developers who depend on such a workflow. More explanation in a forum post https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/acropdfimpl64-dll-crashes-when-pdf-is-accessed-via-activex-webbrowser-control-x64/m-p/12133227

  11. Fix Disappearing Quick Tools
I see where others had this issue in previous versions, but I'm having the same issue for months now with my Windows 10 64bit - Adobe Acrobat DC 21.007.20099. I can add the Quick Tools I want to the toolbar, but then after some random number of open and closings of the program, they all disappear and I have to set them up again. I've uninstalled, deleted all Adobe program files, reinstalled with the same result. No add-ins for Adobe.

  12. For European users, a units selector is needed for the Object Inspector in the Output Preview panel so dpi can be checked. Otherwise, you have to go to Preferences, switch from Millimetres to Inches, then switch back to Millimetres again.

  13. Why does Adobe not allow payments with PayPal in Switzerland?
Such an important company and especially that we are nowadays all using different payments tools beside the classical credit cards, should be really updated. It is almost like a discrimination towards us and it is incomprehensible. Almost every company uses nowadays PayPal as tool and it does work perfectly

  16. Acrobat Pro Desktop works on Windows with Intel and AMD processors, but not with ARM64 processors, so I can't use it on my Microsoft Surface Pro X. The Surface Pro X uses the Qualcomm S1 or S2 ARM64 processors which manage power better, extending battery life and keeping the device cool. Please get a team to work on ARM64 compatibility so customers with such devices can use Acrobat Pro as we did on our older devices with Intel or AMD processors.

  18. I use dual portrait monitors to look at 2 PDFs at the same time (usually a copy of a tax return on one screen and source documents on the other). The bookmarks are very important to me, but when the bookmark pane is on the left, it makes the PDF itself too small and defeats the purpose of using portrait monitors. However, if I could put the navigation pane at the top (below the tool bar) and display the bookmarks at the top of my screen, that would be very helpful. I looked all over but couldn't find this as…

  19. Adobe Acrobat DC will not install on my computer (somewhat older mac with macOS Sierra operating system). I bought the license for Acrobat DC (with the 7 day free trial first) and the Creative Cloud interface downloaded on my computer but whenever I try to install acrobat (either from Google Chrome browser or from Creative Cloud directly) it says the installation was successful, but the app does not launch and the app does not exist on my hard drive when I search for it. On Creative Cloud, it invites me to install the app again. TL;DR: the system is saying…

  20. I just upgraded to Acrobat Pro DC, and am frustrated that every time I open a PDF I have to deal with this open "home" window cluttering up my desktop. It obstructs my workflow. I don't understand what the point of it is. There doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of it.
