Enable Reader to be customised
I mark up, comment, to 50 student scripts in a day. For every file I load, I have to click 3 buttons.
How can I set up Reader so every time I open a file, all those buttons are already clicked?2 votes -
Adobe Sign - Control of PDF attachment to email on completed signed document
I have documents with sensitive information that need signature. I do not want the signed document to be sent to the receiver once it is signed because I do not want their sensitive information sitting in their email for potential hackers. Why does this take a support call to have you disable the feature from the backend? This should be a preference for the users in their account settings.
Secondly, I still want a copy of the signed document with the audit report as the last page. Yet, once this feature is disabled, I can no longer receive a copy. Not by email or to download online. I only want the receiver to not receive the PDF. Me as the sender still wants the PDF emailed to me. Your backend is both or none.
As an email, I could drag and drop the completed signed document with the audit report in less than 1 second. Now I have to go online to retrieve the signed document AND retrieve the audit report. This is a HUGE workaround just to be sure my files are safe and secure. Please make some changes here.
- Make the email PDF preferences available to users. 2. Make the sender and receiver email PDF separate choices. 3. Make a PDF available online to download that includes the signed copy with the audit report as the last page - same as what you would receive as a PDF in email.

Edit Image -> Edit Using
Edit Image -> Edit Using -> Open With...
The external image editing software I had was installed to a different drive than the C drive. Even though I pointed Adobe to where the EXE was, Adobe just gave an error that it was unable to open the image in the external application. I uninstalled my image editing app, re-installed to the C drive, pointed Adobe to the new path and the image editing app launched and opened the image.Adobe should not require the external app to be installed to the C drive in order to function.

Get with the program and make a dark mode.
We live in the future now. the 90's were more than 20 years ago. I am uninstalling your product & using someone else's because you couldn't be bothered to provide basic accessibility. Nobody needs to ruin there eyesight for Adobe.

Blinking Forms
Form endlessly blinks, the text does not show properly as you are typing, very slow if you try to suffer through and use it anyway (color wheel appears after a few clicks). This is only an issue on my new MacBook Pro (M1 with Big Sur). My 2015 iMac with Catalina does not have the same issue.

Need to create an option in Adobe Acrobat Pro to allow for vertical split window of a single document
The current Adobe Acrobat Pro only allows a quick menu selection of >Windows > Split. This will give the user the ability to view a single document in two windows HORIZONTALLY (i.e. above and below). Because most pages are oriented in a Portrait orientation, it is more efficient to view documents VERTICALLY (i.e. side by side). It would be very easy for Adobe to add the programming option to be able to split this window vertically and very quickly by adding another menu option under "Windows > Split" to select the ability to split vertically or horizontally. Everyone's work to review different pages of the same document would be exponentially faster and more efficient.

Format settings for text not saved
I would enter the four values under the heading FORMAT for text in the book. Also, I was using Adobe Caslon Pro font. I would save the document at the end of my session. When I opened the document the next day, some of the sections of text had different values. This forced me to check each of the sections of text I had edited. Some had retained the correct values, but many had changed and had to be re-entered. Also, some of the sections of text had changed from Adobe Caslon Pro to Minion Pro or New Times Roman. This caused my project to extend far beyond the time expected. I had to pay for an extra month of subscription in order to finish the book.

Acrobat Reader frequently requires choosing save location for PDFs already saved on my PC
When I open a PDF from my PC, add some comments and click File -> Save, or Ctrl + S, Adobe Reader requires me to choose a save location as if I chose the "Save as" option, instead of just overwriting the original file. It doesn't always do this; I don't know why it does or doesn't. I'm using Windows 10 version 22H2 build 19045.2846.

autorecovery of edited PDF documents after PC crash or app crash
Right now the user has to dig through various TEMP folders in Windows in order to MAYBE find the document they spent hours working on before the program or Windows crashed.
The problem is that TEMP files are usually scratched after a reboot, so this means NIL former versions.
Other programs like MS WORD will show to recovered, unsaved documents prompt from a crash like this.
Why in 2023, is this not a feature in this commonly used program?

Recommend ability to rotate a page by a user designated number of degrees (NOT just 90 degrees).
I recommend a feature that allows the user to rotate a page by any number of degrees (NOT just 90 degrees). This is a common feature in other applications like file explorer and many third party apps. After scanning a document, some pages are skewed. After applying Scan and OCR, and Edit PDF, both of which align pages by text, I still have a page or two that are a few degrees off. I just spent an hour with your chat trying to fix this in one of my files but we discovered acrobat pro does not have this feature. We DID discover you have this capability in preflight, but it is a long, complicated, non-intuitive 11 step process to fix from there. I have been scanning a LOT of paper files recently, over 3,000 files, and within these files, I have perhaps 400 files with a skewed page or two even after using SCAN and OCR and Edit PDF. So a manual feature to force rotation by a few degrees, set by the user, would be very very helpful. I have attached a file to provide an example. You will see pages 1, 11, and 17 all are off proper alignment by a few degrees. I have already applied SCAN and OCR and Edit PDF to this file and these features fixed a lot of other pages...but not these three pages. May I recommend you use the code in preflight and add this feature into acrobat pro, in an easy to use process that is intuitive, like many of your other features, to use. Please help so I can store pdf files with properly aligned pages. Thank you!

Hello,
I tried checking the forums to see if my idea was presented yet. I did not find it and have scrolled a lot of pages.
So... my feedback is regarding the Adobe Create PDF Group Add-in in MS Office on the Ribbon. The Adobe Group Add-in keeps coming back when I remove it. I have been very thorough in my attempts of removing it, to the point of deleting the registry keys for it several times. I mean like, I kill it hard but it keeps coming back.
Please do not make coding that bypasses the settings we put in. We know what we want or do not want and having features arbitrarily put in place feels violating. If a user removes a feature they do not like, leave it that way, and don't take it personally. It's not that we do not know the feature exists, it's that we do not like it, nor want it in our ribbons.
Reading a lot of the comments, people are mad. I understand. There is no "one way" of pleasing the populations of earth. Diversity is key. As such, software designers need to stop with trying to make a uniform, one-off environment hoping their way changes the world and dominates. Interoperability, dynamic content, and customization by the user are what will sell. Forcing features into our programs after being removed motivate users to look for alternatives.
For the most part, I like Adobe. I have been with Adobe since the early '90s. That is until this recent change of the UI. I find it hard to use and going the way of Microsoft. I implore you, please return to the game changing, alternative, stand by itself, user pleasing company you once were. Adobe made very well written programs once. That part is slipping. I give Adobe 28GB on my hard drive for all the apps I run. For that price of digital real estate, and a premium monthly fee, I want more than slumming it with Microsoft tactics. I want the premium experience back please.
Historically, Adobe rocked because they stood alone. The programs were solid, responsive, and feature rich. At one point I wished Adobe would make an OS because I thought they would do a fine job of it. Not anymore. Adobe is becoming a hack ridden doppelganger of all the other crapapps. Break free Adobe! Be who you were meant to be.
At the least, get your addin out of my MS Word and Excel.
Thank you.

Adobe PDF Pro, to allow Course to change color to white in Contrast Mode
Current Options are:
Green Text on Black
Yellow Text on Black
White Text on Black
Black Text on WhiteWhite background defeats the purpose of accessibility through contrast and backgrounds and the black mouse hinders visibility.
If we can code this so that the mouse turns white, green, and yellow when the different accessibility is selected that would be great to make out the black mouse from the black background.
This is only true if the mouse mode in Windows mouse pointer style Black is selected

Saving to postscript
EVERYTHING in this update is ridiculously difficult to navigate.
I have had to go through every **** menu or research to find what I need. Why on earth would you do this?

Extract files button.
Please add the extract files button back. This is the main feature I use and it now is taking twice as long. How am I supposed to invoice my client for additional time because YOUR software has changed?!
If your developers cannot be bothered doing that then at lease let us have a button to set so we don't have to click that **** thing EVERY SINGLE TIME!
THIS IS A VERY INCONVENIENT CHANGE for those of us who extract a huge amount of documents.2 votes -
Highlight and Adding Text workflow is cumbersome
I often highlight and add text to PDFs. The current workflow is cumbersome, especially when I need to switch from one feature to other.
Given that it's a premium product, I find that there are just so many unnecessary toolbar options visible while the tools I need often require multiple clicks and cumbersome navigation.
I often find myself hiding all toolbars left, top and right. Worst part is app doesn't remember my settings so I have to hide these toolbars everytime.
Would be nice to have a student mode which provides a light mode version, allowing highlighting and adding/deleting text.

Tabs should be clickable to the top of the window
When you have several tabs open and you want to click between them, it should be a seamless process. Naturally, you swipe your mouse up to click on the tab and most of your control goes into the left/right movement to get it in the right x coordinate with the tab, but when going up naturally most people don't stop to keep it in the middle and will let their mouse drift as far up to the top of the screen and let it stop on it's own. But as it stands in this new version, when your mouse is at the top of the screen you can't click the tabs, you have to lower it slightly to be able to hover on it. This should be a natural design choice to change since it makes it easier to have and there's no reason not to.
