1. Invalid signature via Windows CSP when EUTL is loaded: Acrobat signs SHA-256 of empty data

   Steps to reproduce the issue:
   1. Use a smart card certificate accessed through a Windows CryptoAPI CSP.
   2. Make sure the certificate chain is trusted (e.g. EUTL loaded).
   3. Case A: set Default Signing Format to "PKCS#7 - Detached" and sign any PDF.
   4. Case B: set Default Signing Format to "CAdES-Equivalent", enable "Include signature's revocation status", and sign any PDF.
   5. Check the signature status immediately after signing.

   Environment:
   - OS: [Windows version], x64
   - Acrobat Reader 64-bit 26.002.21996 (TrustedMode true) and 26.002.22031
   - Signing through a third-party smart card CryptoAPI CSP (x64), provider type PROVRSAFULL
   - Certificate: qualified certificate

   Expected result:
   Both cases produce a valid signature. Acrobat passes the correct digest to the CSP with a single CryptSetHashParam(HP_HASHVAL) and then calls CryptSignHash.

   Observed result:
   In both cases the signature is invalid immediately after signing.
   If the EUTL lists are not loaded, signatures are created correctly.

   CSP debug logs:
   - CryptCreateHash, then 18 CryptSetHashParam(HP_HASHVAL) calls on the same HCRYPTHASH, each with a different value. The last value is always e3b0c44298fc1c149afbf4c8996fb92427ae41e4649b934ca495991b7852b855 (SHA-256 of empty input), and CryptSignHash is called on that object.
   - All CSP calls return success.

   Analysis of a signed PDF (Case A, PKCS#7):
   - Decrypting the RSA signature value with the signer's public key gives a SHA-256 DigestInfo containing e3b0c442...7852b855 (empty input). EU DSS reports SignatureIntact = false.
   - The correct document does not appear among the 18 HP_HASHVAL values in the CSP log. Acrobat never passed the document digest to the CSP.

   CSP debug logs, the EU DSS diagnostic data and a sample signed PDF are available privately on request.
   If you need any additional logs or tests, we will be happy to help.

3. Print progress dialog shows the document title even if "Always use filename as document title" is enabled

   Background:
   When PDFs are saved from browsers and opened in Acrobat, the document title is displayed instead of the filename. This can be changed by going to Preferences > Documents and then enabling "Always use filename as document title".

   However, the document title is still displayed in the Acrobat's print progress dialog box (see the image attached).

   Since the setting mentions "always" it should also display the filename here. Also, when enabled, this filename should be sent via lpszDocName member of the _DOCINFOW struct and should be available for applications that listen to StartDocW API.

4. Stop silently installing secondary apps and hijacking OS shortcuts (Adobe Express Photos)

   Feedback:

   A recent background update for Adobe Acrobat automatically installed Adobe Express Photos without user consent or notice.

   Software updates must not bundle unwanted secondary software or disrupt existing workflows. Specifically:

   No unauthorized software installs: Acrobat updates should maintain and secure Acrobat, not silently install unrelated consumer apps.
   
   Do not hijack OS-level shortcuts: The app automatically hijacked the Windows Print Screen shortcut, overriding native OS tools (Snipping Tool) and user-defined hotkeys without asking.
   
   Provide clear in-app controls: Users should have an explicit toggle in Preferences to opt out of promotional add-on rollouts, rather than having to deploy custom registry policies to stop forced reinstalls.
   

   Pushing unrequested software and altering system behavior without permission demonstrates bad faith toward your users. Practices like this directly push me to seek alternatives and switch to competing PDF products.

5. Same Hexadecimal Colors across all devices

   The hexadecimal colors of highlighting tool are different from the PC to the Android app. Why not making them the same?? Also the android app doesn't have the Opacity of 0 in the highlighting. Why not adding that too?

   Please update the Adobe Acrobat Sign help article on restarting agreements to clarify that agreements created using a web form revert to their original state when restarted.

8. Acrobat Pro 26.002.21901 fails to launch on macOS Ventura — libthorvg.dylib

   Following the September 8, 2026 Acrobat update, Acrobat Pro stopped launching on macOS Ventura 13.2.1 (22D68).

   The application silently terminates immediately after launch, without displaying an error dialog or generating a conventional crash report.

   Using Terminal and macOS unified logging, I identified a dynamic-library loading failure involving libthorvg.dylib. The log indicates that this library was built for macOS 15.0, which is newer than the running operating system, followed by a missing C++ symbol error.

   I have already attempted a normal uninstall, Adobe Cleaner Tool, restart, and fresh installation. None resolved the problem.

   Since Adobe lists macOS 13 as supported, this appears to be a binary compatibility or packaging regression introduced by the update.

   Please escalate this issue to Acrobat engineering and confirm whether it has been addressed in a subsequent build, including 26.002.22031.

9. Remove Adobe Express files from list of recent used files.

   Acrobat Pro has a list of recent used files (calles »Zuletzt verwendet« in my German version) but this list also shows Adobe Express files which cannot be opened in Acrobat but opens in Express in my browser. So why are they listed in Acrobat? And why can't I delete them from this list as I can do with PDF files?

   Please change this behavior!

   1st: Don't show Adobe Express files in this list.

   2nd (if 1st is not possible): Add the functionality to remove the Express files from the list.

10. Lag from text autocomplete

    The lag associated with the text autocomplete function when editing a PDF is making this program completely nonfunctional. Lag time of 10 to 30 seconds for each form field and will often crash the program.
    Turning the autocomplete function off in the preferences and clearing the cache of stored credentials have had no effect. The suggestions keep appearing anyway.

11. log in screen becomes non-responsive

    If opening a PDF with reader closed, the user-log in screen freezes, requiring a forced closure of the app from program manager.
    There appears to be no way to stop the log-on screen from popping up on each application start.

    On a normal program start, the log-on screen pops up 3x times before I can close it.

12. Hide "Check for Updates" in Acrobat

    The "Check for Updates" option in "Menu">"Help" is a feature that can only be used, if you have admin privileges on your machine.
    In an enterprise environment usually, users do not have admin privileges and therefore this feature cannot be used in a company environment.
    It is possible to disable the complete Update-feature, then the "Check for updates"-feature is not shown anymore, but the auto-Update on Acrobat is then also disabled.

    Please add an option or registry key, so that this feature can get hidden for the user interface, without disabling the complete update feature. In case the updates get installed in machine context, so no admin login is needed, this would also fulfill the request and make the feature at least usable.

    Currently this feature is not working in a company environment, and this option is creating questions and request, why it is not working.

13. hand tool not hiding behind arrow tool

    The same suggestion for new Acrobat View Desktop app and the browser "shared-PDF" view:
    The hand tool is hidden behind the arrow tool. it needs an additional click/hover just to access it. while the menu bar for these tools is very small and compact. it makes no sense, that the hand tool is hidden behind the arrow when so little of the screen is used.

14. I CAN'T GET THIS TERRIBLE PROGRAM TO OCR A PDF. WHY DO I PAY FOR PRO?

    I have been trying for ten minutes to run a simple ocr feature (that I pay for) on this terrible program and nothing works. I have tried in the desktop (and nothing happens when I click on "Scan & OCR", other than to change the tab to Convert. I have tried with the online version, and nothing happens. And your stupid 'provide email and password' below is broken. Does anything you do work?

15. BUG: Incorrect "Always show document page size" behavior

    In New Acrobat Reader interface, the option "Menu → Preferences → Page Display → Always show document page size" doesn’t work properly:

    1. If the option is "Checked", the following bug happens:

    → the page size and horizontal scroll bar to the bottom doesn’t reach the left side of the screen if "Fit to width", "Fit height", or "Actual size" view modes are selected (see screenshot below);

    → manually choosing custom view modes (50%, 200%, etc.) eliminates the bug and make the page size and horizontal scroll bar reach the left side of the screen properly.

    1. If the option is "Unchecked", another bug happens that can be reproduced as follows:

    → Open a PDF file;

    → In “Menu → Preferences → Page Display”, uncheck “Always show document size page”;

    → In “Menu → Preferences → Documents”, check “Restore last view settings when reopening document”;

    → In the right-side panel, click “Resize the page to fit vertically within the window”;

    → Close the PDF file;

    → Open the PDF again and see that the static page size and empty horizontal scroll bar are still present in the bottom left corner of the screen.

    → Please remove the empty horizontal bar to the bottom where the page size in contained. It should be shown only when pages are zoomed in this mode.

    In New Acrobat Reader interface, the option "Menu → Preferences → Page Display → Always show document page size" doesn’t work properly:

16. Acrobat does not support Windows Virtual Desktops correctly

    I am trying to use two Windows virtual desktops to separate my work activities. However, whenever Acrobat is already open on Desktop 1, opening a PDF from Desktop 2 always switches back to the existing Acrobat window on Desktop 1. As a result, I cannot effectively use virtual desktops with Acrobat, since documents do not stay within the desktop where they are opened. In my opinion, supporting Windows virtual desktops properly is a fundamental productivity feature for professional users. I hope Adobe can improve this behavior in a future release.

17. Remove Sign In Options

    Provide the ability to remove, rearrange, or hide Adobe Sign In Options. We use Microsoft SSO which our users need to click the “More sign-in options” to get to. This causes confusion and downtime.

18. Safest Way to convert PST to EML

    The safest approach is to keep a backup of the original PST and use a reliable converter. A dedicated PST Converter lets you preview mailbox data before conversion and supports PST to EML conversion. Review the required emails, select EML as the output format, and start the process. Afterward, verify the converted emails and attachments before relying on the files. Keeping the original PST unchanged provides an additional reference during verification and archiving.

20. Protected mode becoming mandatory

    A post was made regarding Sandbox/Protected mode becoming mandatory, but I would like this option to remain available.
    There are many cases where features do not work correctly unless this mode is turned off, and disabling it serves as a necessary workaround.
    Additionally, since there are plugins that are no longer in active development, losing the ability to use them would be a major inconvenience.
