1. Hyperlinks Spanning Multiple Lines

   Hyperlinks that span more than one line create multiple OBJR tags.
   Reproduce: Create file in InDesign with links that span more than one line. Export to PDF/open with Acrobat. Find tag. Link will have two OBJR tags (or more if the link spans more than two lines). This is a bad experience for users of assistive technologies.
   Sometimes manually fixing tags (deleting old links and creating new OBJR tag) isn't sufficient and designer has to resort to editing in the content pane or even using the Actual Text override to get the link to be read by assistive technology properly.
   Please fix so that links that span multiple lines only have one tag.

2. Read-out bug

   I want to report a bug in the read-out loud feature of Acrobat Pro DC. I’m using a Mac (Mojave), and I have already set its accessibilty options to my favorite system voice and speaking rate. I thought I’d have a PDF doc read out aloud while I work on some graphics. The default voice was meh-next-to-terrible, so I looked under preferences for an option to change voice. I found it and was happy to find a long list of available voices, including the ones I already have installed on my computer. So I selected my favorite voice and tried having the doc read out loud,… and the voice sounded horrendous! It didn't recognise the settings I have for it on my system. So, back to Acrobat settings looking for a setting to correct that. Well, you have settings for pitch and words per minute (Note that the options available don't match up with what is on the OS preferences.), but no way of previewing it! I have to go back to the document to be able to hear the difference and go back to preferences, try a different setting, and repeat… navigating back and forth... too much bother! I simply gave up.
   So could the devt /programming team include on the next update of Acrobat a pre-listen (preview) button in the preferences? That would be sooo helpful. Thanks.

3. Need darker text

   Text in PDFs is too light--much harder to read than in older versions of Acrobat Pro. Zooming in doesn't help. Please restore darker text to make documents legible without eyestrain!

4. Autotag a table or a portion of a page

6. [Feature request] Copy/Paste of Tag structure

   Working with tagging of PDF documents for accessibility purposes, with a lot of them being nearly identical to each other or within a document there are repeated patterns, it takes a long time and a tidious task to create tags individually. It would be a very neat if it were possible to Copy/Paste the (selected) tag strutucture within the Tags-panel (excluding any actual content they may contain)

7. Accessibility- Reading order pause

   I am just updating my resume to be more accessible to vision impaired. I am having trouble with some items running together in read-aloud.

   In Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

   My favoured option would be that we have the option to insert a <pause> object in the reading order.

   If this is not possible, can you change Read-Aloud to pause between elements.

8. Open last viewed files

   I am a PhD student and have switched to Adobes pdf viewer because I think it is the best one (google and edge do not offer the same accessibility for mark up etc.) The one thing that I love about google and edge is that you can set them to open the previously viewed document. I read a lot of articles and use the tabs as a sort of reading to-do list. But when I close adobe (or my computer restarts) that list disappears, I have to either remember them or go to the recently opened files to open them again (but since sometimes I opened them a long time ago it is low on the list or has disappeared). It would huge if adobe could automatically open all files that were previously opened the last time I closed it. Thanks!

   Read out loud to end or read this page only: The ability to start from anywhere (make option available using right+click from selected area of the document).     Please switch off "Please wait while the document is being prepared" displayed each time I open a document. This feature is necessary only for selected users and hampers very much typical program use.

11. Auto Generate Cell IDs Inserting Spaces

    Auto Generate Cell IDs adds a space to the end of IDs which are not long enough, and appears to be including internal spaces. Since cell IDs cannot contain spaces, those headers are not announced by AT when reading the table. (OS: Windows 10 on desktop PC; Acrobat Pro DC 20.012.20043; latest as of 8/30/2020).

    The attached file has two identical tables (Word 365, Saved as PDF) with auto-generated header IDs. With the first, NVDA (v 2019.2) only announces the headers for Vegetable, Potassium, and Brocolli. All other headers have spaces at the end, and the IDs for % DV have a space after %. NVDA reads the second table fine with those spaces removed from the IDs.

    This is not an anomaly that Acrobat Accessibility Checker or even PAC 3 catches. The tagger who does not actually check the complex table with a screen reader can submit a document to the client with a table that is unreadable.

    I'm visually impaired. I find anything with a white background unreadable.

    I can change text and text background colours to make text readable but I cannot find a method to change colours used in images embedded in pdf files.

    Please can you add an accessibility option to invert colours in embedded images so black becomes white and white becomes black. NB. All colours will need to be inverted not just black and white.

13. Wrong file title in pdf

    Adobe, Regardless of version of Acrobat, whenever I open a PDF that came originally form a Word file, the wrong file title appears in the title bar above the page. Please fix this. It is maddening. I get sent documents from our admin people to put up on our webpage for all our employees and since I am not the author of the document I cannot fix it myself. It is a constant problem.

14. Replacement Text (AccSupp ActualText entry) Support

    We noticed that your PDF viewer doesn't have AccSupp ActualText support. This means that copy-pasting technical text such as shellscripts and programming code, does not work in your PDF viewer and this greatly restrains the use of your whole program.

    The replacement text is said to be supported, according to the file "Document management - Portable document format - Part 1: PDF 1.7" both on Table 323, page 559, and on section 14.9.4, page 615. Available here: https://www.adobe.com/content/dam/acom/en/devnet/pdf/PDF32000_2008.pdf.

    But according to the tests made using PDFs produced by pdflatex using the package accsupp, the replacement text support seems to be unreliable at the moment for copy and paste.

    The tests generated various behaviors such as:
    - Correct copy and paste of the text, but incorrect copy and paste of leading spaces and empty lines (Test 1);
    - Unexpected insertions of spaces (Test 3 and Test 6), and;
    - Spaces turned into newlines (Test 4).

    We kindly request better support of the replacement text support, because the copy and paste directly from the PDF document is not reliable.

16. Read to end of document issues on a Mac

    Read to end of document only reads a single page or sometimes doesn't read at all.

    (PS is this the same Rachit who use to work for the Forest Service? If so, I hope you are doing well. I'm still waiting on a TA for a MacBook Pro :-()

17. Bug - PDF Tag Panel does not match Reading Order Tool by marking all Tags as Span

    This issue of InDesign and Acrobat incompatibility in regards to Acrobat displaying all spans even when the Reading Order is correct has been around for over two years. We deserve to know what Adobe is doing about it.

    What is Adobe doing to fix this issue? And don’t tell us that it is not a real problem for screen readers because the Tags panel is ok. When a certain government agency reviews files, they just use the Reading Order Tool when they make complaints against people who use your product. These are not the kind of people who will read all these posts of Adobe blaming each other and then saying it does not matter because some screen readers don't use the reading order. Adobe is basically saying that this feature is pointless. If it is pointless remove it or merge it fully with the Tags panel.

    Besides, there is a lot more assistive technology and applications than just JAWS and NVDA that depend on the reading order and reflow being correct.

    What is Adobe doing to fix this span issue?

    And don’t ask me for more info or more files. You have these posts with detailed explanations and you have already acknowledged the problem exists yourselves and acknowledged that you can reproduce it yourselves. And don’t tell us to go to Forums for help. Because they will send us back to UserVoice.

19. cross-platform interoperability for Acrobat DC

    use of Acrobat DC must be seamless across operating systems, browsers, and devices. seamless interoperability = efficiency. Proprietary in-fighting between apple, microsoft, and google needs to stop. Why not work together for the benefit of all?The business models need to change. For example, "accessibility" of apps needs to be independent of browser, OS, and device.

20. BUG REPORT: accessibility issue on PDF export from InDesign

    The latest version of InDesign exports PDF's in which most all the tagged content is in an Xobject container, making accessibility remediation MUCH MORE DIFFICULT. This is a huge step backwards. Attached are two examples, from the same client, annual reports- last year's was fine, this year's has all the xobject issues. Please advise, help, fix, something!!!
