remove bookmarks
I use Adobe to open up to hundreds of pdf files every day and the bookmarks menu keeps popping up every time i have closed the viewer window.
I have gone in to Preferences -> Documents and turned on "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" but it doesent work.
This is very annoying because i never use bookmarks.19 votes -
Recent File Listing not in date order
When I go to look at the Recent Files list, there are multiple issues.
Firstly, see attached image, the files are not listed in order based on the last opened date.
Secondly, in Thumbnail view there is a checkbox titled 'Sorted by Opened'. When this box is checked, instead of sorting the files are all selected.
Thirdly, in List View selecting one or more files shows a checkbox, but it it not checked.
I consider all the above items to be bugs with the Recent Files User Interface.

Pop ups
Stop putting advertising throughout the Adobe suite, and get rid of all the pop-ups that are slowing me down and bloating the software. I pay for a subscription and do not need your horrible "suggestions" - I just want working software. I am sick to death of closing random pop-ups and suggestions I never asked for.

Crashes & Freeze’s you must fix no matter what
I’m very tired of searching for all my PDF receipts and proformas across multiple WhatsApp chats. I spent 30 minutes on this, which is extremely frustrating.
During use, your software suddenly stops responding without any clear reason. After restarting the application, all previously opened tabs are lost.
Please fix this issue and add functionality that restores the same tabs after a crash or restart, similar to how browsers like Chrome or Edge work. Currently, after every crash, I have to search for all my PDFs and open them again from scratch.

AI Assistant (beta) button
Please give an option to EASILY get rid of the AI Assistant (beta) feature. Ever since installing the latest update, my Acrobat Pro runs SUPER slowly. I don't actually need AI to read documents. I do need Acrobat to be able to scroll without freezing constantly. Otherwise, what's the point of paying for Acrobat when there are tools that scroll perfectly fine for free?
The new UI is fine otherwise, but I had to disable it (View > Disable new Acrobat) just so I could scroll through documents without Acrobat freezing constantly since you added that AI Assistant feature.

I would like to request that Adobe adds an option to automatically send monthly invoices directly to my email. Currently, I need to log in and download them manually, which is time-consuming.
This feature would be extremely helpful for accounting and record-keeping purposes.Thank you for considering this request.

Make Acrobat DC and Acrobat Classic to remember the "All Tools" pane state in "Reduced" mode
We have observed that Acrobat Classic and Acrobat DC do not retain the state of the “All Tools” pane when operating in Reduced Mode. Each time a PDF document is opened, the “All Tools” pane automatically appears, even after being manually closed previously. The application does not remember the previous state.
This behavior occurs exclusively in Reduced Mode, which is critical for our environment because we use a mix of licensed and unlicensed configurations that require this mode. Palette for "Set or change properties for selected Text"
There is a bug in Adobe editor. When I am using "add comments' option, this colour palette on the side doesn't disappear after finishing the task.

3 or 4 different tabs to close everytime i open a new document
Maybe theres an option that i'm missing. But everytime i open a document to have a quick read, there 3 to 4 different tabs i need to close to make the document big enough to be able to read on my laptop screen.

Option to hide the floating toolbar
Who at Adobe thought that it would be a good idea to have a floating toolbar that the user cannot dock, cannot flip horizontally, and, critically, cannot choose to hide? It blocks readable document content and is very annoying.

How have you managed to make what should be such a simple program so bloated, slow and annoying.
Why does it always default to THREE almost never used menus opening every single time I open the app? Literally every single time I want to just look at a PDF I have to close three distracting and/or pointless menus of features we never use but you're presumably trying to ram down our throats?

Get rid of AI Assistant Summaries for Creative Writing
Have a button to completely turn off AI assistant - especially for creative writing. I write and teach poetry and flash fiction, and when students sent me a number of their poems, or when I work on my chapbook of poetry, it infuriates me every time to see the stupid message saying that it's a long document and asking if I want a summary. I DO NOT WANT A SUMMARY OF A COLLECTION OF POETRY. Nor do I want a summary of any of my creative writing materials that I open in Acrobat every day.
