1. No online tethering

   During the hurricane, when we were without internet service, I still had to keep working at home for my job.

   I have Acrobat 2017, so it shouldn’t require access to the “cloud” to work.
   Yet it ran astonishingly slow, so much that I had to force quit several times when it froze my computer.
   I ended up using Apple Preview because it worked properly, as advertised, without slowing my system. It is a productivity application. Apparently Acrobat is no longer in that league.

   I bought this version so I wouldn’t have to be tethered to the “cloud.” Why was that happening?

   Sure enough, when the internet came back on, the application worked as usual.

   You cannot tie people’s hands requiring internet access to use your product.

   My work computer has no connection to the internet, intentionally. How can I upgrade to a “cloud” application if I can't use the app without crippling my functionality and workflow.

   Convince me that I’m wrong. Sell me your “cloud” product.

2. Combining Files into ONE PDF with files of similar Form Fields

   Trying to combine 12 files into one single PDF. Multiple files have form fields that are similar. Adobe will not combine the files individually and forces me to create a portfolio. When I send the portfolio doc out it cannot be read. What a waste of time. Why can't we combine similar fillable forms with different data into one single document. MAKES NO SENSE.

4. Adobe keeps crushing after certain time of usage.

   When multiple files are open after certain time everything freezes and crushes. I did repair the software but it didn't fix the issue.

5. "Incorrect Structure Exists"

   If Adobe can't compare files because an "incorrect structure exists", can the error box give more information or navigate to where in the document Adobe was having an issue. The files I am comparing are very large and I have no idea what structure is incorrect or even which version of the document it is in.

7. Error message when attempting to compress a file "An error was encountered while processing images."

   I receive this error message when I select File -> Compress PDF.

   I currently have Adobe Acrobat Standard DC installed on a computer running Windows 10.

   I have used this feature to compress numerous other PDFs made from documents that contain text and images. I'm not sure why this feature has found a problem with the images. It would be nice if the error message also included suggestions on how to fix the problem.

8. Tool bars

   Would be great if more customization would allow user to choose to see only the tools they would like to see. Way too many tools on tool bar that are not used. The unused ones take up space that I would prefer to have the tools i use often occupy. Results in multiple unnecessary clicks to access the tools I do use. I have customized the quick tool bar but when reviewing a document in portrait mode only 2 of those are displayed - and can only access the others with additional clicks. Meanwhile many are displayed that I have no use for. Makes the work I do less efficient - not a benefit by using Adobe DC

10. Batch processing action to run with less input

    Currently, actions in Acrobat DC require continual input as they are running. For example, I have an action that adds a watermark and restricts editing with a password. All of that information including the password was entered into the action when I created it. When the action runs, I have to approve the watermark for each document, and enter the password (twice) for each document. I'm not sure why the whole process can't run itself once I select the files on which the action should be performed.

11. Missing PDF display

    After the October 2018 release update, if the PDF is opened with the output preview displayed, the display is frequently lost. This has not yet been resolved in update 2019.021.20056. Therefore, PDF checking in prepress is the reason why you should use 2017 instead of DC. I think that it was a problem that can be corrected because it was displayed normally before.

14. Automate Filling out Paperwork

    Hi,

    Since you guys are experts with Documents and many people use your service, I believe a lot of companies would pay more if you can automate filling out paperwork.
    I’m talking about the Construction Industry, where jobs have to be bid on, and there could be a way to avoid the repetitive task of filling out the same information for all the jobs such as Company Name, Address, Name of President, etc ... All this information can be filled out only once with a user survey. It is a 2 part task. One is answering questions based on a Company Information Survey. The second is actually finding the pages that are required to be filled out, which is stated in the bid package itself.
    A whole other task would be to do Quantity Takeoff with Construction Drawings.
    If you can actually automate these 2 tasks, you can easily charge Construction Companies $100-$1000/month because this is the job of an Estimator in a Construction Office.

15. save and save as function

    save and save not working

    File >save > and you get a empty window with no function or options.

    when you try to use the save or save as function from the menu you have an empty window with no functions or options so you cannot save. I trick the system by doing a reduce file.... Mac OS Mojave 10.14.06 it is annoying.

17. After issuing a Rebuild index adobe Acrobat does not close and stay open

    Hello,

    I fully understand, if I click on an a .pdf file Adobe acrobat application will open and runs my task and after that I may close that pdf file and open another PDF file... But I don't know why after running a .bpdx fule which is just for Rebuilding an index windows stays open and does not close and end the application. This causes problem with my scheduled task that I run at midnight as follow:
    1. move and copy some file.
    2. Stop the dropbox after re
    3. run the rebuilding of the indexes
    4. Start the Dropbox.
    this scheduled task fails each time because step number 3 does not end and my dropbox does not start.
    We are having more than 30,000 pdf files that we have to rebuild index for all of them each night at the middle of the night. because running it may take a while 2-3 hours. We need to do that because the built indexes will be propagated to 5-6 desktop, due to failure of scheduled task that does not start the dropbox, next morning we have to start the dropbox manually which slows everybody down till all the indexes are propagated to all the computers.

    Either stop/end/exit Adobe.exe after the Rebuilding of the index and close the Adobe Acrobat application or allow and add a parameter like /Exit, /End /Stop that application can be stopped.

    I am running a command like this:
    C:\Dropbox\Processed\ZCats\PriAuth.pdx /rebuild
    That causes problem and keeps the Adobe.exe stays open with a dialog windows and me next stop does not start.

19. Add support for the Data URL scheme

    Currently, embedded links which use the Data URL schema are blocked by Adobe Acrobat even when adjusting security settings. Adobe Acrobat doesn't need to support reading these links as they're simply opened in a browser, but we need Acrobat to stop blocking these links. I've attached an example PDF with an embedded data url.
