  1. Side by Side PDF files

    I often have two PDFs open at the same time, side by side, for referencing purposes. Now with the Acrobat DC I don't have that choice as both opened files are now in the same 'tabbed' PDF window. I can see the two files 'serially' but not side by side.
    What to do?????

    You can drag the newly opened tab out and your PDF will now be open in new Acrobat window.

  5. Bug Report - Using Tools (esp Redact tool) causes wheel of death. HELP

    Hi I'm having continual issues with using the Redact and Combine tools. Whenever I use these tools and attempt to save the document, I get the wheel of death and have to force close Adobe. When I go to where I saved the document, I get an error message saying "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."

  6. Provide Option to Open at Less Than Full Screen

    Provide Option to Open In Less Than Full Screen Mode.

    I work with multiple documents on may PC screen. Every time I open Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, it fills the whole screen and I have to go fishing for the corner of the screen to shrink it. I'd like to concentrate when I work, not get distracted or annoyed.

    You can change the screen display by trying:
    1) Open Adobe Reader.
    2) Select “Edit” > “Preferences“.
    3) Select “Page Display” on the left pane.
    4) Under the “Default Layout and Zoom” area, change the “Zoom” dropdown menu to a desired setting.

    Hope this works for you.

  7. Add column sorting control on Open window for large SharePoint folders, show more columns

    Make it possible to easily keep track of which documents in a large document folder (with many items) have been reviewed, and make it possible to show more columns on the window that opens when you open a folder in SharePoint On Line so that when redacting large document libraries it is easy to see where one left off.

  8. Interrupted footage from adobe premeire to after effect is wrong

    Every time I try to take interrupted footage from premiere pro into after affects through the dynamic linking feature the timestamp of the video from premiere off when i view the film from after affects. . Therefore If I wanted to do my affects I would first have to upload the clips into after affects before premiere in order to my affects!

  9. Extremely slow to launch

    Launcing Acrobat DC takes 2-3 minutes, and occasionally an error occurs and it will not launch. Once open, PDF files can be selected and opened immediately, but double clicking on a PDF file also takes 2-3 minutes for the file to open. This makes it awkward to use, so looking for another PDF application. Have tried all the forum suggestions for fixing this issue, but nothing works, and the IT people have been unable to solve the problem. I am running DC with the latest version of Windows 10.

  11. Directory locked in writing when opening a PDF created inside

    Windows 7 64 bits
    Adobe Acrobat 2018.011.20035

    I create a directory
    inside i saved a jpeg
    i convert trough the right mouse button : Convert to pdf format
    i open the pdf file i saved in the same directory
    i edit with comment or pencil annotation
    i save... Impossible to save
    I look the attributes of the directory :
    Locked in writing
    I close the document i can't save
    i unlock in writing the directory
    i edit the pdf
    save... Impossible...

    I close the pdf.
    Put the pdf in an other directory ...
    All work !!!!

  14. Info panel

    I would like a info panel that show me relevant information about the file. For me that information would be: Paper size (not including bleed) in milimeters, Color profile, bleed size, Ink limit, Spot colors, low-res image warning, fonts etc. I use Acrobat to check ads and I think a single info-panel would be great. If there is problems with the file, I can dig deeper with pre-flight, but in most cases I only need to know the basic information about the file. The Properties panel under the file menu is better than nothing, but it is too limited and…

  16. Every time I open a pdf, it saves to the desktop as a new file. I have numerous file of the same thing on my desktop

    Every time I open a pdf from an email, it automatically saves it to the desktop. I then have to delete them and it is difficult finding the latest file...that I didn't want to save in the first place. I want to choose when to save a file.

    You can change folder path via Preferences > Securit y(Enhanced) > Add Folder path.

  17. Kindle/KDP/Amazon reformats PDFs to fit its tiny format. Results have errors--photos resized and scattered, text overlays text,

    KDP/Kindle/Amazon reformats PDFs badly--photos are scattered + mal-sized, text overlaid other text (espec. after photos). Could Adobe put attention on this problem, plz. Editing PDF in Adobe does not solve problem. (Consider: Would creating smaller original PDFs (in Kindle size, for instance) make converting to Kindle, or any small format, more accurate?)

  20. File remains open behind the scene even when tab closed

    This is a recurring problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC: When a file is closed in Acrobat (by closing the corresponding tab), the program doesn't not release the file. As a result, the file cannot be renamed or moved until Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is closed. I have attached an image of the error dialog that pops up. This is on Windows.

    Of course, this is a major inconvenience because I have many tabs open and closing Adobe merely to be able to rename a file that's no longer supposed to be open in Adobe is not something that enhances…

    The error here explains that the PDF is opened in Adobe PRO.

    This could be because the file is still writing the changes made in the PDF.

    Could be that the file is opened from a server location/shared servers. And that the change is waiting to commit.
