  1. When I make a change to a file with Adobe Pro DC and try to save the file, Windows Defender is blocking access to the "Control Folder Access". It says to add the Adobe Pro DC exe file as a safe app. I can not locate the path. I have Windows 10 Creators Update OS.

  2. a adobe rep said in this forum the following:"Since the secured PDFs cannot be combined as single PDF and are only available as PDF portfolio. Those can only be viewed in Acrobat or Reader."

Is there a way to convert multiple pdfs put into a single file/folder with a single password that would protect the large singlefile/folder without password pasword protecting each individual file? or work around?

  3. Our agency has several custom presets when saving pdfs from Illustrator. We would like to limit one client from altering our pdfs. We can apply the security setting, however they do not save in the preset.
    Please fix.

    Dear User,

Please open the file in Acrobat.Go to Protect Tool from Tools Page.
Go to Encrypt— Manage Security Policies—New - Using passwords, public key certificates —Save as a Policy-and then choose the settings that you want to apply .
As the policy is saved, you can apply the policy next time on-wards
which appears as a template from Security Options(Control+D) on the file.

  4. Cannot access the OK button on the security details screen. I have a small screen and it is not visible.

    No update from user.
Does not seem to be product issue.

  5. Acrobat Pro sets some form fields to "visible but doesn't print" in my document even after I have set it to "Visible" when a digital signature is applied. I have to keep opening up old documents and fix fields that were automatically changed when I specifically set them to be "Visible" again.

  6. Currently, if you PDF a document and added the current Protection features in order to stop it from being converted back to Word. You can actually upload it to many PDF to Word converters on the internet and it will convert the PDF document back to Word without asking for the password. So a better security feature is needed. Especially for company sensitive documents that I want to PDF, protect and stop anyone from converting back to word.

    Dear User,

While implementing password protection, Acrobat warns user that ,third party apps may not honor the permissions that are being set on the file. Please open the file in Acrobat/Reader itself to honor the permissions.
Or you can protect the document with certificate .

  7. Adobe Reader XI was given a 64 bit IE plugin in patch 11.0.7, but the 64 bit IE plugin has not been included with Adobe Acrobat XI.

    1. 64 bit IE plugin - required to run IE 11 with Enhanced Protected Mode
    2. Include the same 64 bit IE plugin, that was added to Adobe Reader XI in patch 11.0.7, to Adobe Acrobat XI
    3. Verified in Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2
    4. When IE 11 is configured with Enhanced Protected Mode, sites that are in the Trusted Zone open in a 32-bit process and will use the 32 bit IE plugin. Sites…

  8. Since last update of Adobe Acrobat Std/Pro, our engineers are not able to sign drawings cause now a predifined rectangle appears which is way too large. People have to sign at the right side of the drawings (DIN A0) with a very small rectangle. You have now to place the new predefined rectangle where top left corner have to fit with top left corner of drawing field. Therefor, you have to zoom out the document to be able to place the rectangle. That way, it's hard to see if you sign the right field at the drawing. Signing hundreds of…

  10. Requesting that the Certificate Key Usage be presented on the "Sign with a Digital ID" prompt. Being able to see the key usage would ensure users are picking the certificate with Non-Repudiation in environments where users have two certificates with Digital Signatures.

Attached is an example of the current prompt and an example of the desired prompt.

  11. If I receive a protected document, I want to pw the doc if it contains sensitive info, or change the pw to our standard, but cannot due to existing permission pw.
eg., I receive sensitive Docusign doc that is pw protected against amendment. I want to pw protect to open before I email externally. But I cannot do so because I don't have permission pw. Thx!
