  1. I always have to open the comments bar to add text. Why not just have that T in the main bar or allow us to add that. Also, why is the icon for Comments bar the same as sticky note? Odd. so please give us ability to choose more icons for the main bar. Takes too much time opening different bars. That is not efficient at all. And make that comments icon different than the sticky note one. Strange.

  2. Per support, it is not currently possible to mass edit the Title attribute of multiple PDFs simultaneously. It would be very helpful to be able to mass edit PDF meta data.

Example: A user has hundreds of PDFs. Many of them have a single space as the Title attribute. This is confusing for the user since it appears to them that no title is displayed when opening a PDF.

Using Action Wizard, you could select the folder with the PDFs and edit the title attribute for all the PDFs simultaneously.

  3. Bottom tool bar which appears over the document every time, it's always covering a page numbers, it's disappears so long and slow and no way to close it or make not appear at all... I never, just never, used this bar and any tool it provides. Wish I could set preferences to get rid of that annoying tool bar. Thank you.

  6. make home screen go away after closing PDF file in Acrobat DC. Add option for preferences to disable the 'application frame'. This is super annoying as every time you close a pdf you have to press command W on the keyboard twice to close the windows.

  8. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC should give a warning message that multiple tabs are being closed. This helps just in case the user has inadvertently entered a keyboard command (like Command-Q in macOS) instead of pressing Command-tab to switch to another open application.

  9. The "Find" Pop-up on the right-upper corner obstructs document viewing and it's very annoying. Whenever I need to see what's behind that pop-up, I need to esc to close the pop-up and Cmd+F again to commence with search.

I'm using the Mac OS version of Acrobat DC.

  10. If Acrobat is open, and you use hot corners in Apple Mission Control for "Show Desktop", icons on the desktop are not selectable. If Acrobat is closes, normal Mission Control behaviour resumes.

  11. When you create a form field with Date validation, the default error message in Spanish has a typo. For example, if I set the custom date format to be "dd/mm/yyyy", there is a space missing. See attachment.

    Bug: "El formato debe coincidirdd/mm/yyyy"
What it should read: "El formato debe coincidir dd/mm/yyyy" (notice the space after "coincidir")

This happens on Acrobat for MacOS, only in Spanish.

With the release of Acrobat on 2nd Oct, 2018, this issue has been addressed.

If your product is not already updated, you can manually do so from within the product. Click on the menu Help→ Check for updates.

  12. Highlighting is the main reason why I use pdfs. The main method that I use is selecting the text through hold left click and drag followed by right click and highlight. Usually the page is zoomed so that I can read the text. In a two-column journal, it is often the case that I want to highlight text from one column [bottom] to the other [top] but because the page is zoomed in, the page has to autoscroll back to the top - the speed which this happens is very slow.

    Solution:
Please consider enabling selected text [hold left click]…

  15. We have many attachments to each of our PDF files. It would be really great if the attached files could be organized by folder of category and not alphabetically. Please see attachment for an example.

  17. We need to set PDFs to open in the browser, however, sometimes the user needs to edit these (such as using Fill & Sign). In this case, the user clicks Fill & Sign, and they are told to download the file and open it.

It would be far easier if the toolbar that's visible when a user opens a PDF in the browser has a simple button where they could open it in whatever app they had set as the default for PDFs (Acrobat Professional, or Reader). Perhaps a button called "Open in Acrobat"

  19. I just want to be able to quickly and easily select the "hand" tool or the "select" tool. One minute it's in the tool bar - the next minute it's not. I cannot work out the logic for when they do (or don't) appear or - more importantly - how to make them a permanent fixture in the tool bar.

    1. Can we set Acrobat so it doesn't go to full screen size every time it starts?
    2. Would love to set default to show new documents to fill page width, rather than full size!
