1. Combine Files tool completely deletes existing alt text and corrupts tag properties

   2. Open Adobe Acrobat and use the "Combine Files" tool to merge the individual tagged chapter PDFs into a single, multi-page textbook (specifically testing a large 1,050-page document across 19 chapters).
   3. Run the Acrobat Accessibility Checker on the newly combined file.
   4. Expand the "Alternate Text" drop-down menu and open the automated "Fix" wizard or "Add Alt Text" dialogue.

   Expected Result:
   The combined PDF should seamlessly inherit and preserve all pre-existing alternative text metadata blocks bound to the original files' figure tags.

   Observed/Actual Result:
   The "Tagged PDF" rule passes, but the software completely wipes out the text contents under the hood, resulting in an unrecoverable global "Figures alternate text - Failed" status error. The user is forced to manually re-type thousands of lines of alt text because the software silently dropped the attributes during the merge routine.

2. unique file name for signed "web form"

   When using a web form that goes to multiple separate recipients, append the file name with the recipient's name or email, not just " - signed" ---

   For instance now, I have to open each file to know who it belongs to and then save it with a new name:

   "ANF-Requested Form for Projects, Vendors and Contractors - signed (3).pdf "

   would be much improved and save so much time if it was:

   ANF-Requested Form for Projects, Vendors and Contractors - signed - signer@email.pdf

3. Add setting to ignore "FitWindow true" directive to stop PDF auto-resizing

   When a PDF has the "FitWindow true" directive, Adobe Acrobat will resize and sometimes even move positions whenever you open the document, unless you open it, right-click, go to Properties, Initial View, and uncheck "Resize window to initial page". But doing so for every applicable document is cumbersome. It would be best to have an option to ignore that function by default like how other 3rd party PDF readers like Foxit do.

5. Bug: Portfolio - when opening file it opens blank in protected or unprotected view

   Steps to reproduce:
   Open up any Portfolio then either double click on the individual PDFs within the portfolio or click on the "open file" button up top then when you open it, it will be blank.

   Environment:
   Edition Windows 11 Enterprise
   Version 24H2
   Installed on ‎2/‎9/‎2026
   OS build 26100.8875
   Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.334.0

   Expected result:
   The PDF within the portfolio opens in it's own tab and actually shows it's contents to be worked on.

   Observed result:
   When opening a PDF within a portfolio by either double-clicking the PDF itself or clicking on the "Open File" button in the top-middle of the screen it opens the PDF but it is blank with nothing shown. The only workaround is to:

   1. Open Adobe Acrobat Pro.
   2. Go to Menu or Edit > Preferences.
   3. Select General.
   4. Uncheck Open documents as new tabs in the same window.
   5. Close and reopen Acrobat.
   6. Try opening the PDF inside the portfolio again.

   It will work but will be in its own separate Adobe Acrobat window covering up the Adobe Acrobat window that contains the portfolio you opened it from. I do not know if there was a recent update or something but until just a few days ago this never happened to me on any portfolios. I even tried changing the security/protected view settings to no avail.

   Steps to reproduce:
   Open up any Portfolio then either double click on the individual PDFs within the portfolio or click on the "open file" button up top then when you open it, it will be blank.

9. AI is severely incompetent

   I can’t believe Adobe is calling this AI. It’s not. Glorified chatbot? Maybe. It answers questions fairly well. But it can’t actually DO anything. Example? Because my business has factories in 5 states. I must file state tax returns in each of them. I get a PDF containing the federal form and each state form. The file includes a table of contents that clearly marks the start of each form. I asked the AI to break it into five separate files. It couldn’t do it. Extracting multiple PDFs is something I do a lot. But an AI specifically created for Adobe Acrobat is incapable of it. If I were Adobe, I’d be ashamed to release this and call it AI. It’s disappointed me like this several times; the tax forms are just the latest. The problem with Adobe is arrogance. They know they have people who depend on PDFs by the short hairs, and they exploit that dependency with a lackadaisical approach to customers.

11. revert fromt text list to old Acrobat

    I’m very surprised I don’t see other people complaining about this. With the new Adobe Acrobat pro the Format Text list changed. It used to just display all your fonts in alphabetical order, and now you have fonts in used, your computer ( which does not display any fonts you have installed ) and your fonts.

    the 3rd image, you can see Acrobat sees my akkurat font. I’m able to select that as fallback font for editing under Preferences > content editing.
    4th image, if i want to change text to the akkurat font Adobe cannot find the font.
    5th image im able to search and change the font in word since they did not make searching for fonts as awful as Adobe Acrobat did.

    I had an adobe tech remote into my computer and they were unable to find my fonts. The only way is to disable new Acrobat which has the alphabetical font list like every other application..

12. Drawing markup has become unnecessarily difficult

    I've been using Adobe Acrobat Pro to review and mark up engineering drawings, and I wanted to share my experience with the latest release.

    Today I needed to perform a very simple task: add a double-ended dimension arrow and a text label to a PDF drawing. What should have taken around two minutes instead took well over half an hour.

    The main issue was not a lack of functionality, but that the functionality was extremely difficult to discover.

    The ⋯ button on the toolbar opens Customize Toolbar, which naturally led me to believe that this was where I needed to add the drawing tools. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to understand why I could see tools such as Line, Arrow and Rectangle in the customization dialog, but could not add them to the toolbar because the Add button was disabled. It was completely unclear that these tools already existed elsewhere.

    Eventually I discovered that the drawing tools are hidden behind a tool called Draw, which I only found by using the search box. This wasn't obvious from the interface, and I don't think many users would intuitively think to search for "Draw" simply to find basic markup tools.

    Once I had found the drawing tools, I was able to create an arrow, but even then the workflow was confusing. It wasn't immediately obvious that a double-ended arrow is created by changing the Start and End properties separately. The terminology (Open, Closed, Reverse, Butt, Slash, etc.) is not self-explanatory for users who simply want an arrow at each end.

    Adding text was equally frustrating. I found multiple text tools with similar names—Add Text Comment, Text Callout, and other annotation options—but they behaved differently and it was difficult to determine which one was appropriate. The text editing toolbar also appeared to have very limited formatting capabilities. I couldn't find a straightforward way to make text bold or change its colour, both of which are common requirements when marking up technical drawings.

    My overall impression is that the interface has become significantly harder to learn than previous versions. Simple engineering review tasks now require users to search for hidden tools, interpret unfamiliar terminology, and work around interface limitations.

    Adobe Acrobat is widely used by engineers, architects and designers to review PDF drawings. I believe the markup tools would benefit from being much more discoverable, with a dedicated, clearly labelled drawing toolbar and consistent text formatting options.

    I hope this feedback is helpful. I think Acrobat remains an excellent PDF viewer and editor, but the markup experience for technical drawing review has become unnecessarily complex and time-consuming.

13. keyboard shortcut for page display tools

    Wasn't sure if this should go under UI or Accessibility, but... I often need to change the view of pages (single, two-page, scrolling, no scrolling).

    It would be helpful if this could be toggled with keyboard shortcuts instead of having to click them in the quick tools bar.

    If this is already possible, I'd greatly appreciate if someone could let me know how!

15. Adobe not running smooth. Cannot work with it currently (August 5, 2026)

    Adobe is freezing and reporting errors on documents used before. We cannot use it in it's current form today. It worked fine yesterday. Please Help!
    When I open a document in portfolio view the document opens and nothing is there.

16. pop-ups

    Get your fingers out of my business. I pay the full price to use your software. So stop shoving pop-ups for new functions and other services in my face. I'm trying to work here. I'm not here for fun, and I sure as **** am not here for YOU. It's supposed to be the other way around. You're supposed to be the industry leader; act like it or I'll find another provider. They'll still push pop-ups in front of me, but they'll charge half the price for it. You should be ashamed.

17. Horrendously Ridiculous Gawdawful New Design

    Your new design is Horrendous. I can't find anything. Why do you shuffle everything around and hide all the most useful tools so no one can find them. Do you delight in making your users crazy? Not to mention terribly inefficient - it takes me 5 times longer to create and edit a document and even then it's not how I want it to appear. I often have to just save and move the file to my old PC and work off my old Adobe Acrobat (in no time it turns out just how I want it!!). Who on earth thought up this new design?!?!?

18. Bug Report: Mixed Page-Size (Letter/Legal) Printing fails when document contains mixed page sizes. Reproduced on multiple

    Bug Report: Version 2026.001.2771 Mixed-Page Size within document causes error instead of printing to proper paper trays. For example is page 1 is Letter then page 2 is Legal the print will fail rather than printing page 1 with letter paper and page 2 with legal paper. Tested with multiple docs, multiple PCs, and with multiple printers.(Letter/Legal/Tabloid). Installing older version of Acrobat Reader resolves issue.

19. add custom column for user information to admin portal

    add the ability to create a custom field for user information. I would personally use it to add the Employee ID from my organization in order for my finance department to better run user audits. This column would need to be able to be included in a .csv export. This would turn hours of work from our finance team during renewal time into minutes as we could cross reference the employee id with our workforce management system.

20. Sharing documents as attachments not links - bring back the option

    In my experience, sharing links to documents creates unnecessary frustration for recipients. Links often take a long time to load, may not work correctly due to permissions or network restrictions, and many recipients do not realise that access may be password protected. This results in confusion, delays, and additional support requests.

    A PDF attachment is simple, reliable, and universally understood. Recipients can immediately access the document without navigating online portals, signing in, or dealing with permissions issues.

    Please restore PDF attachments as the primary and most prominent sharing option, or at the very least give users the ability to make attachments their default sharing method.

    The current focus on link sharing reduces usability and creates barriers for efficient document distribution. Many users, including myself, strongly prefer sending PDFs as attachments and should not have that workflow diminished or hidden.
