Don't take away "Open documents as new tabs in the same window"
Okay - so this morning, Acrobat decided to switch into "new acrobat" mode. Yay! Except for the fact that all of my documents open in new tabs in the same window now - which is terribly inconvenient for me. What's worse, is that the option to turn this off has been removed from Preferences. 30 minutes ago, I could go Edit->Preferences->General and clear the "Open documents as new tabs in the same window" option. Now, after it switch to "new acrobat" mode, this option is no longer available. So I switched back to "old acrobat". Boo!

FEATURE REQUEST: Hide Text Field Fill Color When Printing a Completed Form
During a support call this evening with one of your Senior Technical Representatives, I asked if a Fillable Form could be printed without the Fill Color appearing when users print their completed text-entry forms. She indicated that this option does not currently exist, but she thought it could be a great feature request to inquire about. She strongly suggested that I send this request along for consideration. I've attached a few screenshots of a Fillable Form that I've created to help you visually see what I'm referring to. Thank you so much for taking the time to review this and for considering this request. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any follow-up questions for me. Thank you, Corri Campbell, DRW Holdings.

layout
The current layout of Adobe for basic text functions is confusing and inconvenient. I wish Adobe would be kinder to their customers and improve its products instead of impeding its customers. I don't want to support Adobe but I have to. I don't want to be a *****. I am a person, not a user. I think and do. An interface does not even begin to sum up what happens as I work with Adobe and do other things. Yuck.

App Opening Experience
When opening a PDF, all the side menus open each time, causing the document to be either a) hidden, or b) hilariously small. I like these menus, but they should be minimized by default.
Each app opening experience involves closing both side views, then declining the AI "experience". It is getting old, and I am tired of popups when I just want to read my document.

Full Screen mode
I would like to be able to copy and paste comments/markups in full screen mode, like the old version supported. Ideally be able to display the markup toolbox in full screen mode.

Bug: "Find" feature makes Reader crash when keyboard language is changed
I usually work with multilingual PDFs, with Latin + Greek script. When I search text using the "Find" feature, and switch keyboard language layout while the cursor is in the "Find" text field, Reader almost often crashes. This started happening after the latest big GUI update.
Steps:
- I am reading a PDF with Latin + Greek script
- I open the "Find" tool using Ctrl + F
- I change the keyboard's language layout while the cursor is in that field, using Windows button + Spacebar. The keyboard's language is supposed to switch from Italian to Greek (Polytonic Greek)
- Acrobat Reader stops responding
- I close the appEnvironment:

Academic/Professional use with restricted content
I am a doctorate researcher writing my thesis on child protection, I also have ADHD. Wanted to use the AI assistant to help with gathering information but due to content restrictions I was unable to do this.
Understand these are placed for safety reasons, but perhaps have a profession/academic sign up where people can log in with their institution and can use this feature with less restrictions? I work in forensic psychology and know a lot of colleagues who would benefit from this tool but won't be able to use it due to the limited access.

NOT BEING ABLE TO GET RID OF TOOLBAR IS TERRIBLE AND THE NEW PAGE ORGANIZING DISPLAY IS TERRIBLE. CANT READ THE PAGES EVEN WHEN I ZOOM IN.
The old page organizing display was much better. The images of each page were clearer and large. When I zoom in in the new format, I still can't see that page numbers. I HATE it so much and although with printed permit sets its great, when it's a digital sign and sealed document, it is impossible for me.
Also, the toolbar I can't get rid of is terrible. Sometimes I need a screenshot or something and I can't get it because the toolbar is in the way no matter where I move it to. Why did you make all of these changes? So drastic and all at once...The old page organizing display was much better. The images of each page were clearer and large. Bring back the old Interface
Th new userinterface is all over the place. We have a big grey unused border at the right and some random icons and tools at the left. It's not possible to move te tools from the left to the right, so theres always a toolbox above the pdf I want to read, while the right border is half empty. This is horrible, non-efficient and really annoying while reading.

Email Templates in Acrobat
Our organization currently uses another PDF editor known as Bluebeam Revu, which has the ability to create email templates to quickly send out PDFs to certain vendors with pre-composed messages. This makes a task that would otherwise take 3 minutes per item, take only seconds. More info in that feature here: https://support.bluebeam.com/online-help/revu20/Content/RevuHelp/Menus/File/Email/Email--MV.htm
Is there any way something similar can be developed for Acrobat? We are using 40+ email templates right now and losing that ability is going to create a lot of extra work.
Thank you for your consideration.

Acrobat reader does not remember last page location for all open tabs.
I only have two file open: if i close acrobat reader, when I open it again, it will only open the file from which I have exited acrobat in the correct page, however the other file will be opened from somewhat random page, it might be a page I never seen yet or a previous one. This happens both ways.

Redact deletes random alt text
There is a bug when using redact that deletes random alt text in the pdf when the redactions are applied and saved. I tested with files created on my machine and from a third party. Sometimes I could redact one or two phrases and not have any alt text appear. But the more redactions, the more alt text was lost. Sanitize was OFF. The alt text disappeared randomly- sometimes from a page with redactions, sometimes from pages without. Sometimes only one image on a page lost alt text, sometimes all or none did.
To reproduce:
Create an accessible pdf.
Use the accessibility checker to confirm all the figures have alt text.
Make some redactions.
Apply and save.
Use the accessibility checker to see if all the figures still have alt text. The expected behavior is that they should. No one would expect alt text to be deleted.

Bookmarks and page numbers overwritten when replacing pages in PDF
Workflow that causes issue: I have a PDF book with multiple chapters. Each chapter starts as a PDF generated from InDesign with bookmarks (generated by a table contents) for the different sections in that chapter and a particular, chapter-specific page numbering scheme, e.g. the twelfth page of Section 2C becomes page "2C-12," the fifth page of section 3B becomes page "3B-5," etc. I start by combining all the chapter PDFs into a single full-document PDF. So far so good. The bug occurs when a chapter has been revised, a new chapter PDF has been generated from InDesign, and the pages from that chapter need to get swapped out in the full-document PDF. Irrespective of whether I use the "replace pages" option or if I first delete the old pages before inserting the new pages, the bookmarks and page numbering from the updated document fail to get imported with the new pages. Instead, the "old" bookmarks remain in the link tree in the Bookmarks sidebar, but when you click on them nothing happens. For the page numbers, what happens is the final page number from the preceding chapter gets applied to every inserted/replaced page.
Environment: Windows, InDesign 2024, Acrobat Pro v2024.003
Expected Result: I have found that I can achieve the expected result by using Bluebeam instead of Acrobat. The expected result is that when I replace the pages of a given chapter with all the pages from the updated chapter PDF, the bookmarks and page numbering for those pages will look the same as they do when I open the standalone PDF for that chapter.
Observed result: while Bluebeam has page replacement and page import dialog menus to allow importing the bookmarks and page numbers associated with the new pages from their updated PDF, Acrobat instead automatically tries to retain or merge the old bookmarks and page numbering scheme from the old or existing parts of the combined PDF in which I am operating, resulting in broken bookmarks and nonsensical page numbers.

The new interface is awful. Bring back the old one.
The new interface is awful. I would go into detail but that says it all. Everything I use Adobe for is now more clicks, less efficient. I want to go back to the old version and there doesn't appear to be an option. Fix this Adobe. I hate the new interface and so do my coworkers. I mostly use Adobe to combine, edit, sign, and organize files. Everything I have done so far was worse than it was before with no advantages.
