Windows border
Maybe this is just a problem with my computer running Windows 10, but, for some unknown reason, the active Adobe Acrobat window border changes to Windows 7 style on occasion and is usually followed shortly thereafter by the program crashing. Is anyone else experiencing this peculiar behavior?

Accessibility Errors with PDF Maker Update Sept 2021
Several major bugs have been documented by users in the Adobe Community Forums since Acrobat and PDF Maker were updated on September 14, 2021.
They are:
1: Alt-Text from MS Word is not converting into the PDF. Instead, it is dropped and gibberish code is inserted. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/alt-text-converting-wrong-from-word-to-pdf/m-p/12393017 This violates the PDF/UA-1 standard which requires that every graphic have alt-text that verbally describes the graphic.
THIS IS A HUGE BUG. You essentially have made Acrobat unusable for those who are required by their country's laws to make fully accessible PDFs.
2: Every cell border on every table cell is being tagged as:
<P>PathPathPathPath. This violates PDF/UA-1 because unnecessary visual formatting is not being tagged at Artifacts.
See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/alt-text-converting-wrong-from-word-to-pdf/m-p/123930173: The underline on Hyperlinks should be tagged as artifacts. Right not, it appears as one or more "PathPathPath" which is announced by different assistive technologies. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/alt-text-converting-wrong-from-word-to-pdf/m-p/12393017
4: Borders and background shadings on Text Boxes are being tagged as a combination of <Figure>s and PathPathPath. This too is a violation of PDF/UA-1. https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/alt-text-converting-wrong-from-word-to-pdf/m-p/12393017
5: Paragraph borders and shadings: same deal as #4 above.Per the PDF/UA-1 standard, they are visually decorative and should be artifacted. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/alt-text-converting-wrong-from-word-to-pdf/m-p/12393017
NOTE: To be correctly tagged per PDF/UA-1, the borders/shading content should:
— Not appear anywhere in the Tag tree, either as <Figure> or as "Path" in a yellow content container box.
— Not appear in the Order panel.
— Should appear as Artifact in the Content panel.6: Dragging and dropping elements in both the Tag and Order panels is now broken.
The text cursor doesn't show anymore, and the little black line doesn't show anymore and instead appears several inches away from where it really is. See https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/alt-text-converting-wrong-from-word-to-pdf/m-p/12393017 and also https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/acrobat-pro-reading-order-box-and-tag-dragging-no-longer-visible/m-p/12395226#M329877
And finally...
7: Once this update is installed, users can't revert back to a previous version of PDF Maker because Adobe doesn't allow that in Acrobat like it does with other Creative Suite applications. So once the update is completed, it makes PDF Maker completely unusable for tagged accessible PDFs.
This affects millions of your government customers world wide, as well as millions of government contractors and millions of academic customers...all of whom are required by their country's laws to make accessible PDFs.
2 sets of sample Word and Matching PDF files are submitted as demonstrations of the problems in the exported PDFs via PDF Maker.

233 votesHi,
Thank you for raising these accessibility issues. The post mentions about the following six bugs being introduced with the update that went live on September 14, 2021
1: Alt-Text from MS Word is not converting into the PDF. Instead, it is dropped and gibberish code is inserted
2: Every cell border on every table cell is being tagged as <P>PathPathPathPath
3: The underline on Hyperlinks should be tagged as artifacts

5: Paragraph borders and shadings: same deal as #4 above.Per the PDF/UA-1 standard, they are visually decorative and should be artifacted
6: Dragging and dropping elements in both the Tag and Order panels is now broken.Would like to mention that out of these, #1 and #6 were introduced with the Sep 14 update and remaining (#2, #3, #4 & #5) were present even in the Acrobat version prior to Sep 14 update. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by these issues.
Issue #1 and #6 were the regressions introduced with Sept 14th update and hence were fixed on priority with Sept 29th Update (Release Notes for September 29, 2021). With the latest version (22.001.20085) of Acrobat Pro DC released on March 7th (Release Notes for March 07, 2022), issues #2 and #3 have also been fixed. Issues #4 and #5 have been partially fixed so that PathPathPath tags won’t be part of the tag tree anymore. The remaining issue for #4 and # 5 (Borders and background shadings on Text Boxes / paragraphs are being tagged as <Figure>s) have already been added to our product backlog and those will be prioritized to be fixed in coming releases.
You can use the menu item Help → Check for Updates… to get the latest version of Acrobat Pro DC containing these fixes. Please try out the fixes and share the feedback as that will help us make our applications better from accessibility perspective.
Thanks & Regards
Tanvi Rastogi

send for comments in the cloud
Our team uses "send for comments" all day everyday. Currently we can only use "local server" to collect comments. When we use "send for comments" using adobe cloud, we lose most of the mark-up tools for collaborators to post comments. I recommend Adobe figure out how to have a full functional shared review via adobe cloud- same functionality / markup tools that are available in the local server option.
This is basic functionality that Adobe's competitors has already, and I think will end up leading to Adobe losing customers if the functionality is not expanded/improved.

Exporting pdf page status
The progress bar that comes up when exporting a pdf, I have noticed that if you are exporting a pdf that has more than 100 words, the progress bar fills up to 100 pages only and then is full while continuing to export the rest of the pages.
This is most likely because in the code, it is specified that the progress bar reflects the number of pages exported, all the way to 100 pages, instead of the progress bar reflecting the percentage of total pages that have been exported.

Output Preview page rendering / zooms in when checking separations
When using Output Preview to view separations, the document will zoom in to the upper left corner sporadically when clicking on and off different separation channels (ie. Black, Cyan, etc.) If you move to another scroll to another page or manually zoom in and out it might display correctly, but it might not. It's very random, but it happens consistently when you're in Output Preview. If you close the Output Preview window, the display goes back to normal.

Cancel my Adobe Acrobat Pro Trial. Asking for credit card update before cancel.
I would like to cancel my Adobe Acrobat Pro Trial. I tried to cancel that, but the website didn't enable me to go to the cancel page. It continues asking for my credit card details and continues making requests for payments on my credit card.

AdobePro is not GCC High Tenant FedRamp Certified with SharePoint
Adobe marketing web site is misleading when it comes to GCC tenant security. We spent over a month of our IT engineering time along with Adobe support and Microsoft support to integrate AdobePro into our SharePoint GCC high tenant. The root of the problem is how Adobe obtains its hash credentials from Microsoft GCC authorities. There are different credentialling authorities between business, GCC, and GCC High. The hashing is partially baked using credentialing authorities from the business .com domain as opposed to the government .us domain for credential verification within Adobes SharePoint integration. For example, SSO would work in AdobePro, but applying account credentials in order to edit a pdf file to be retained in SharePoint fails. In the end, Adobe has chosen not to support this and we (and perhaps others) cannot rely on Adobe to operate in a GCC high tenant environment for security reasons.
I believe this is a huge, missed opportunity for Adobe. SharePoint is obviously used in GCC high tenant environments with integration to all the office tools. Adobe could likely sell their product into this space as well (at least Adobe should correctly advertise what it does and does not do in this space to not mislead other government contract entities down a path that will not work)

Current TAB Gradient, 3 or more open files... viewing which document currently? Who Knows?
Updated today, had to contact support, had to revert. The TABS at the top do not indicate which TAB you are currently viewing. The Gradient, if it is there, is far too subtle for either of my monitors to differentiate. Which file am I looking at? I cannot tell ya!!
EXTREMELY URGENT as a lot of businesses use this to view PO/SO/Invoices that all look the same. So which file did I need to move a page from? Who knows.3 votes -
Quickbooks Adobe Exception Error
When using Quickbooks to export pdf files for printing the Exception processing message 0xc0000139 unexpected parameters is presented. In a virtual environment, this happens daily and regularly. Often, restarting the session doesn't even fix the issue. It randomly fixes itself, the next day. This is a known issue, discussed on Adobe forums since 2021. For the CPA clients of Adobe this becomes a deal breaker.
