Make 'Restore last view settings…' document-specific
At the moment, 'Restore last view settings when reopening documents' is application-wide but it would be much more helpful and useful if it could be specific to certain documents, i.e., when reading through a particular long PDF over several sessions.

"Save As" Should Default To Same Folder As Source Files
- Select 2 PDF files is the same folder to combine.
- Combine then Adobe Acrobat DC.
- Choose "Save As".
The default folder seems to be a random place on my computer. It's never the same folder as the one with the two files that I just combined. And it takes a bunch of typing or clicking to get back to the original folder.
This happens every single time I combine files, making it really tedious to do something that should be easy.
Please set the default folder for 'Save As...' equal to the folder where I opened the files.

Preflight window does not work in Windows 11
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
- Install Acrobat DC on Windows 11 using Creative Cloud client.
- Open PDF
- Go to Print production tools.
- Click Preflight
ENVIRONMENT
- Windows 11 64-bit.
- Have tried physical machine and virtual, Windows Pro and Home, Service pack 1000.22638.1000.0 and 1000.22636.1000.0.
EXPECTED RESULT
- Preflight window opens, listing various preflight options & profiles.
OBSERVED RESULT
- Preflight window (without profiles) opens in background, but is immediately followed by an error message: "Unable to copy the user specific preferences:" and an OK button. Clicking the OK button closes the Preflight window.
Trying repeatedly to open the Preflight panel eventually leads to an empty Preflight window with no profiles. It seems whatever snag the system gets stuck on, it only attempts each step once then gives up.
I have tried resetting Acrobat. Completely uninstalling. Installing in a fresh, clean virtual machine running Win11. Removing all user settings in AppData\Roaming, Local and LocalLow. Nothing.
The only thing that "works" is running Acrobat in a virtual Windows 10 machine. Which makes me conclude the problem is an incompatibility with Windows 11…

Color preview bug
I just had the weirdest thing happen, as I was trying to solve this same problem. I tried all kinds of different ways to output my PDF and kept getting a mismatch in the color. I tried all kinds of different color settings in all my programs (InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and kept getting a mismatch. Finally I tried looking at Acrobat's Preferences. Under Page Display, I tried changing the transparency color blending space from RGB to CMYK, no change. I then tried changing the Overprint Preview to Always, no change. Then I tried, on a lark, changing the Smooth Text from For Laptop/LCD Screens to None. BINGO! Now, here's the weirdest thing: when I tried to change it back, the color did not go back to being wrong. It seems it's not a setting problem, it's a bug. Somehow I triggered it to display my colors correctly.

Bug: Opening a document when using Apple Spaces does not work correctly
Steps to reproduce:
- Be on an Apple Mac with one monitor (I'm currently on macOS 13.4.1c)
- Create two Apple Spaces
- In Space A, open PDF #1
- In Space B, open PDF #2
Expected result: After step 3 Acrobat creates a new window in Space A that displays PDF #1, and after step 4 Acrobat creates a new window in Space B that displays PDF #2.
Actual result: After step 4 Acrobat loads PDF #2 into the window in Space A that currently displays PDF #1 (bug #1), and then it tries and fails to switch to that Space, instead switching you to a new, previously non-existent space with no windows open (bug #2).

unresponsive cursor
The mouse cursor and some other functions are EXTREMELY SLOW to respond making the application practically unusable. It takes about 10 times longer to do anything because of this.
I have to move my mouse to something and then hover for a couple of seconds before I can make the action I want to make.
This seems like an intended thing as there's no lag, not waiting on processing, nothing like that - the cursor just isn't responsive, almost as if it were a safety feature.... but it is extremely annoying and I can't use this application in the current state.

Have a tool that will allow you to hide a page or pages then when prompted become visible in the desired location without having to use java
In order to keep PDF forms as clean and short as possible, it is often helpful to hide pages in a form unless they are needed. The only current way to accomplish this is to write a Javascript that retrieves a template using this script: var a = getTemplate("");a.spawn(); the template however goes to the end of the form instead of the desired location. The template also changes the text box names ruining the functionality of the boxes. This could be fixed by better Javascript instructions or even better an option to accomplish this task in the text box actions.

Fix scanning option for creating new document
When scanning a new document, Adobe automatically pulls up the latest document when you have multiple Adobe files open. Adobe then automatically checks the box "Append to current document". This can cause unwanted pages added to a separate file that is being worked. Suggest you fix Adobe so that the Append Box is unchecked as a default and/or "create new document" or "append to current document" options are added that do not pull up the last open file automatically. Then if the user wants to Append to an existing document, they can, but it is then a conscious decision. I've had too many important documents corrupted by unwanted "appending" taking place after a scan, and the corrupted documents emailed before the mistake is discovered.

Adobe Sign-In Improvement
Adobe Acrobat will prompt users to sign-in to Adobe.com when we need to sign documents. As a best practice, complex passwords are encouraged in all our accounts. Adobe.com enforces this by asking for passwords which must have:
1) Contains at least 8 characters
2) Contains both lower (a-z) and upper case letters (A-Z)
3) Contains at least one number (0-9) or a symbol
4) Does not contain your name or email address
5) Is not commonly used or a previous passwordAs a result, many of us, as an enterprise or as individuals have adopted password managers such as browser password managers found in Google, Apple, Microsoft, browsers or 3rd party ones such as 1Password, KeePass, etc to manage our complex passwords for us.
Yet, the Adobe Sign-In window that opens when we are prompted to enter our password does not support any of the password managers or its extensions. To make matters worst, it does not support copy & paste directly into the one time passcode or password fields.
This means users are forced to have their complex passwords open and visible, displaying this on our screens while we manually look back and forth typing in a complex password that is meant to be hidden away from prying eyes in the office environment. Corporate helpdesk supporting Adobe products remotely connected to our workstations also have visibility in this manner.
This is a serious password exposure risk to our Adobe.com accounts.
Suggestion: Enhance Adobe Sign-In within Adobe apps to support password managers or its extensions. Or as an alternate workaround, allow copy & paste of one time passcodes (2FA) and passwords into the Adobe Sign-In Window.

Website Description Not Accurate
I have been advised that if you don't have an Adobe Acrobat license then you cannot log into Adobe Acrobat Pro and have it function as Adobe Reader. You need to use the Adobe Reader product.
The website https://helpx.adobe.com/au/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html currently suggests that you should be able to log into Adobe Acrobat Pro and have it operate as Adobe Reader.
My suggestion is to update the website so that it is clearer that you must be licensed with Adobe Acrobat in order to use the product and that it you have PCs being access by users who do and don't have Acrobat licenses, then you need to install 32 bit version of Acrobat Pro and Adobe Reader in parallel.

Can you create a process that is free for the disabled?
I am legally blind with tunnel vision and have to enlarge everything to project it onto a TV screen to read. I am using Adobe Acrobat 8 which is reliable in its OCR and I use Photoshop to improve the contrast of documents in order to run OCR on Acrobat extracting the pages of very large pdf files. Adobe has discontinued the licenses on this, so if I ever get a new computer and that is highly unlikely as i am on disability, i am screwed. My computer is from 2015.
Can you do two things, create a bundle for the Blind and disabled to do these things with documents so they can see them, and I am happy to explain it all to you as to what I am doing. Fortunately I learned how to do this when I was fully sighted. So I know the keyboard shortcuts in the process of converting images of pdfs in photoshop so I can make them somewhat legible in Acrobat to run the OCR.if you cannot create a process that is free for the disabled to use these products, can you point me in the direction of companies that will make it so the blind and visually impaired can use those attributes in free software or can you allow those of us who are blind to continue using the products and their codes to enable them under a special program for the disabled. I can prove I am blind from my doctors reports and I am not going to get that eyesight back, it's gone. Please forgive my typing as i cannot see what I am typing at the moment as the thin black text and white background is unreadable. Yeah I can use the high contrast feature in Windows but usually that doesn't work with posting online.

On Adobe Acrobat Pro (32-bit; version 2023.001.20143) I'm trying to combine 3 documents. I used this feature last week with no issues. I used this feature today and the software only converted the first documents to a PDF and stopped.
