I have Acrobat DC Pro and every time I try to reduce the file size for a PDF, the program abruptly closes, and I can't actually do it.
I have Acrobat DC Pro and every time I try to reduce the file size for a PDF, the program abruptly closes without reducing file size. If I restart the computer, I can usually (but not always) reduce one file size one time before the program resumes closing upon the reduce file size command. As you can imagine, any feature that requires a restart every time I want to use it is effectively a useless feature.

Need More Editing Capabilities
Please include two very important editing features in Acrobat Pro.
Allow a "page setup" type feature, including:
1.) the ability to change the margins of the entire document.
2.) the ability to center text, such as a title, against the page margins, not just within the individual text box.
3.) the ability to align all text in a document within the margins, without having to manually align each and every text box. This is important for documents that have many pages.Just like the editing features of Microsoft Word, these and other editing capabilities would make Adobe Pro an excellent document editor. This would mean that many more people could use Adobe Pro instead of other software for editing documents.
Thank you

BUG OCR following the last update of Windows 10 (june 2020)
Hello,
Since the last update of Windows 10 (also involving Microsoft Edge update) a lot of PDF documents with more than 500 pages that we archived can no longer allow us to do a text search (CTRL+F) unless we restart an OCR analysis even though these same files did not need OCR analysis before this update (already analyzed and functional).
The problem is that we can't afford to restart OCR for each of these files of more than 500 pages, it would take us days!Thank you for your help on this issue.

BUG REPORT: Viewing In-Progress Agreements in Acrobat Pro DC
BUG REPORT: I am unable to view in-progress agreements made with Adobe Sign via the desktop app Acrobat Pro DC. After sending out an agreement for signature for multiple parties, I wanted to check its status. Using Acrobat Pro DC, I clicked "All Agreements" under the "Sign" category in the left sidebar. Acrobat asks me to sign in again. I use Google OAuth as the sole login method to my Adobe account. The login page asks for my password. So, I cannot login. I had to use my browser instead.

Bug? Removing pages from PDF leaves its bookmarks in place
I've noticed if you delete pages from an interactive PDF that has bookmarks, it leaves the bookmarks of the deleted pages in place. Not great for a customer-facing PDF. I don't think those useless bookmarks should stay there, as a default anyway.

Need my Fill & Sign recipient to be able to initial pages when Requesting Signatures.
I have contracts with initial blocks at the bottom of each page. I am able to initial these by using the "Sign yourself" button in Adobe Acrobat Standard DC, but there is no option within the "Request Signatures" function for my recipient to create their own initials. I have to fudge it by just giving them a text field which doesn't produce a nice cursive initial like my own. Intials should be added as an option under the "See more field types" pull-down. This seems like an obvious miss (initials for me but not for thee) that would be easy to fix.

BUG REPORT: accessibility issue on PDF export from InDesign
The latest version of InDesign exports PDF's in which most all the tagged content is in an Xobject container, making accessibility remediation MUCH MORE DIFFICULT. This is a huge step backwards. Attached are two examples, from the same client, annual reports- last year's was fine, this year's has all the xobject issues. Please advise, help, fix, something!!!
3 votesHi Chris,
I review the files and I believe you would have to report the issue to Indesign as this would be resolved from their end.Feel free to contact us in future.
Thanks

Remove or have an option to turn of document caching in Acrobat
As an agency, we prepare artwork in Indesign and PDF to send to clients. All work is proofed within Acrobat prior to sending and amended if required.
Any amends are re-pdf'd and re-proofed. These amends need to stay under the same version no (read file name) but unfortunately Acrobat now caches pdfs so if we amends a document within indesign and re-open in acrobat with the same file name, it will open the older cached version and not the updated version.
Because this is our internal proof, this file name and version no needs to stay the same before we send to our client so that to them its just the next consecutive proof no from the last version we sent.
We therefore require an option to turn off document caching in acrobat as it is creating workflow issues when proofing. It also allows for error as we now have to rename files and then rename back before sending to clients.

Have a default setting for print the filename on document
Right now if I want to have the filename printed on documents, for each of them I have to do the procedure described below. I would be nice to have a quick setting with check boxes to print the filename for all documents without having to do the below procedure for each of them. It is really ... bad. You need only the choices of (Top, Bottom) and (Left, Middle, Right) and this will do for most users and most cases I would say. Thanks.
Procedure :
Add a Sticky note Write a filename Go to Comments and then to the option icon Go to Comments preferences Mark "Print notes and pop-ups".

BUG: Scroll wheel freeze
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Build: 20.6.20042.371807) on a mac OS 10.12.6
If I use the scroll wheel on my mouse to zoom on a PDF, Acrobat freezes. It does not freeze when using the mouse scroll wheel to scroll through pages, nor does it freeze if I click the + button to zoom. Only freezes when using the mouse scroll wheel to zoom.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Cannot type anywhere and keyboard shortcuts do not work.
We have 19 windows 10 PC that have Adobe Reader and you cannot type anywhere. This includes the search filed, form fields, page range on printing, comments, etc. it is like the program is not accepting input from the keyboard because Ctrl + F does nothing but you can open the search by using the mouse and toolbars. You can paste into all of these fields by right click and paste but not Ctrl + V. The issue seams to be isolated to Windows 10 and the reader version. the Windows 7 machines that we have are not having the issue. On my windows 10 laptop I have both the full Acrobat and the reader. On the full version everything is fine but on the reader version it will not accept any keyboard input.

Batch PDF printing as image
523/5000
Dear Adobe team.
I wish I could print a batch of PDFs to PDFs as an image. Print> Advanced> Select 'Print as image'. If you had the option of including multiple PDFs in that functionality, it would save you a lot of work. I have hundreds of PDFs in which I inserted a watermark, and I need to send it to my client, but I don't want to take the risk of having the watermark removed. Then the solution would convert and generate a new PDF with the printed pages as an image, merging the content with the watermark preventing its removal.523/5000

It would be interesting to have a feature to protect PDFs with a batch editing password. Imagine protecting 100 files, with the same password, one by one?

C++ plugin SDK ability to disable share, combine files and compare files tools
I am creating a C++ plugin for Acrobat, where in user can use this plugin and open the file from secured DB using Virtual file system. However, need to restrict all forms of sharing or extracting of contents from the PDF which is opened.
I tried using AVDocOpenFromPDDocWithParams and specified a permReqProc, using this I was able to restrict most of the tools from copying or extracting contents. i.e., Edit PDF, organize Pages, Prepare form etc.
However, the following tools seems to be not honoring the permReqProc and still content is being extracted from the already opened PDF Document.
1. Share tools: Like emailing (Inspite of denying PDPermReqOprUIemail) and Uploading to adobe cloud (One cloud option is disabled, however more are still active)
2. Combine files and Compare file tools.I even tried PDDocOpenWithParams and specified the params.restrictPerms. This had no effect on the opened document.
I am not sure If I am using the APIs wrong or the tools are buggy. Any help with disabling the listed options will help. Thank you

Crashing
Crashes frequently, particularly sensitive when more than 7 files open. Frequency of crashing increases to the point where it is unusable.
Need to quickly resolve compatibility issues with Catalina, perhaps error reporting from the software would help.
