  1. Removing the Accept check box in the comments field was a terrible idea. Right clicking to a dropdown menu or clicking on ... to get to the dropdown is archaic.
When you have hundreds of changes on a document this adds up fast to inefficiency.

  2. Since the latest update (running Adobe Acrobat Pro V2019.008.20074) adding comments (drawing lines, connected lines or rectangles) randomly causes the comment dialog box to appear for those markups. This was not a problem before the update. Upon opening the document, several dialog "bubbles" appear on the side of the document. They disappear as soon as one opens the comment pane. This is clearly a bug. Windows 7 Enterprise SP1.
Expected result: no dialog box, just display comments created.
Observed result: random dialog boxes are added, even though not added by user.

  3. Hello,

I'm a graphic designer and receive a lot of amends to work via PDFs using comments I can have upto 200 comments to deal with. Previously you had authors names in different colours so you could clearly pick out the changes. Now with the new update, all fonts are in black or grey. It needs to be at least customisable for the viewer to change this in the preferences.

  4. As you are well aware, the users of Adobe Acrobat (or similar products) usually apply ‘Highlight Text’ to highlight or summarize parts of the text or the book that they are reading in PDF format.

After finishing to read the text, if the user can have the ability to extract (in one step) all the highlighted parts in the format of a MS Word or other PDF file; this can be very handy and helpful; since this way the user can easily make an outlined summary of the read text or book ready for future references.

    I wonder if the…

  5. Acrobat CC 2019 removed this feature, which was essential for my workflow as a book designer who shuffles through hundreds of revisions from different editors on a single document.

  7. The new version has reduced rather than increased my functionality. I can no longer draw red boxes around particularly important passages.

  8. having 3 steps to complete a comment is now REALLY frustrating. when it was just a check box on the comment it was alot smarter and quicker. not sure why this was hidden in a menu 2 layers down.
Suggest putting it back on the actual comment.

  9. Each new release you make takes away from my productivity!

    1. The new version of Acrobat Pro shows the right col. Comment list by name of commenter, but I need to see the entire list of the marked comments/changes. This function seems to have disappeared with the recent release. The comment col. as a scroll list view showing all corrections/changes is also a great checklist to make sure all client and manager changes have been made. I review and proofread many, many PDFs each day and it's very frustrating to have to open each comment one-by-one.
    2. Each opened comment…

  12. Custom stamp isn't populating the Stamp icon in Acrobat DC Pro for some Macs even when it is in the Stamp Folder. The custom stamp works on all Windows OS and all Mac OS but a few Mac users are having that issue.

    Hello,

Most likely this seems to be an issue with the permissions with a user profile on the system, please try the following steps and check if that helps.
    1. Create a new user profile on the affected Mac machine, and test the scenario again.
    2. Check the permission on Adobe folder and Sub-folders, match with non-affected Mac machines:

    Location of Adobe folder:

It’s in your user (Home) > Library folder. In recent versions of Mac OSX, this is hidden by default.

In the Finder, hold down the Option key first while choosing Go > Library so you can see it.

    Then find it in:
    Library > Application Support > “Adobe” > Acrobat > DC > Stamps

let us know how it goes.

  13. I view PDFs on a 27" screen so two open PDFs fit side by side, making review easier. I no longer see the % field in the tool section at top of each PDF. While I can, with multiple steps (4), change the view % size, it used to be so easy to just change the visible % field as needed—1 step. Usually, I need the annotated PDF at 75% and the revised PDF at 100% (this allows for the wide comment column to be seen.). I have searched all the tool preferences that I can find, but can not…

  14. Could not find the menu for import FDF file to PDF file. It was next to Export all the comments to FDF file. Sometimes I need to merge some different reviewers' comments into 1 PDF file, I need this.

Also, online review is not available for some kind of commenting? but it didn't say detail or how to solve the problem, I could not do anything. Is it possible to show us what was wrong?

  17. When using the latest Acrobat DC to share Adobe LiveCycle Dynamic Form for review on the cloud, I was able to receive the document on the participant side, but the document didn't show, instead I see a message as usual because it is a dynamic form, which is expected. But, I was able to use commenting tools online to draw and add comments, which seemed very strange. When I opened the document from the originating reviewer using Acrobat, I saw the comments and drawing, which is shocking. I tried to add comments, it didn't let me, which is expected. Please…

  18. When I need to move a text box, I have to move the cursor over the box many times (or enlarge the text box) because the move pointer doesn't show up. It's extremely frustrating and a waste of time.

  19. Just wanted to let you all know that it appears that the notes ("add note to text") part of Acrobat Pro DC and Acrobat Reader has not been updated to match the Retina displays of Macbooks as the other parts of the program have. When you click the note it shows up correct resolution... when you mouse over it... it comes up old pixelated low resolution.

  20. When drawing an arrow with the arrow tool in the Comment Tool section, the tip of the arrow should be pointed. Instead, it looks like this (see image below). I am a proofreader by profession. I cannot use the tool because visually, it's too distracting. I would use this tool often, however, if the arrow had the pointed tip that it SHOULD.
