  1. I'd love for Adobe to add support for combining and convert email attachments. We use Adobe Acrobat for bulk printing, and it would be wonderful if we could load email messages (.msg) files in the combine files to Adobe box, and then print them.

    Hi

    This is already present in Acrobat – Combine menu.
    1. click on File>Create > Combine Files into Single PDF.
    2. Click on Add Files dropdown and select Add Email.

    Alternatively, you can drag and drop emails on Acrobat’s combine window.

  2. I would like to see a feature added to Acrobat that would allow Acrobat to stamp the path (location) and name of the document which was created. I am attaching an example of a document created with a different program in which the feature is highlighted..

    It would also be great if that stamp would adjust and change as the document is renamed, moved or received and saved by the receiving party.

  4. We want to create a PDF file from local HTML files.

    It can show gradient background if we save PDF by using printing function in browser.

    However, It doesn't works when created in Acrobat.

    We don't want to use printing function to create all PDF files, due to there are many pages waited to be converted.

    The gradient background are written in CSS.

    Could we have a solution?

  5. When I use the Combine Files feature with files named with numbers, they are sorted alphabetically rather than numerically.
    For example, instead of getting a file sorted:
    1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, etc.
    I get this sorting:
    1, 10, 11, 12, 2, 20, 21, 22, 3, 30, 31, etc.

  6. Title says it really. It's simply that there a lot of 'make your own flip books' softwares out there, but they are not well designed and expensive, when this feels like it is a sensible add on to what one can already do with Adobe PDF pro. It's annoying to have to go elsewhere for pdf expertise, as I feel Adobe should be able to smash this themselves.

  7. When adding a PDF Portfolio to a file list (Combine Files) I get the following informational dialog box,

    "File [File name] is a PDF Portfolio that contains multiple files. The files with the PDF Portfolio have been added to the file list." It requires that you click OK, before the files will be added and you can continue.

    I wish to disable this dialog box as I am archiving thousands of files a day.

  9. I suppose this is a new idea, because it's not really a bug. Here's the summation of my problem/idea:

    I scan files to my email using our copy machine/scanner. I then open and combine these files into single binders using AA Pro DC. To do this, I use the "Create PDF" tool from the tools menu, and then, from the "Create a PDF from any format" menu that appears, I select the "Multiple Files" and "Combine Files" option. When I click on the "NEXT" box, I can then choose to "Add Open Files," which is the option I use most…

  11. When I create a "combined pdf" from several files, using Acrobat Pro DC, the first page of the resulting pdf portfolio "forces" one to download Acrobat Reader. I use a Mac and my preferred pdf reader is Preview so I do not then have Acrobat Reader installed on my Mac any longer. Why am I forced to download Reader?

  12. When Acrobat encounters an error while combining files, the following message is shown. The options are Return to the File List, and Open Combined File. If the user wants to open the combined file AND review the files which caused errors, they have to combine the files twice (which can take a long time depending on the number and type of files). Note that if many files were combined, not all of the files can be seen in the main window in the background (behind the error message window).   13. for some reason when I have inserted a drawing and then inserted a call out over this drawing to identify things for my clients, when I create a PDF it either doesn't show the arrow correctly, or covers up areas with a blank spot. it has never done this before, it doesn't do it all the time either, even in the same document some will be exactly as they are represented in word, others not. makes my reports look very amateurish

    Hi Keith

    Given other high priority items, we have decided to not fix this issue.
    As a workaround, you can un-check the preference to upload to Document cloud and convert the file locally itself.
    Here are the steps:

    Open Acrobat
    Go to Tools > Create PDF > Single file
    click on “Select a file”
    In the file picker dialog, select the Word file and uncheck the preference " Use Adobe Create PDF cloud service"
    click on Open

    and then create the PDF

  14. If you add a pdf link in word it will not be accessible when you CONVERT the document to pdf. BUT if you create a pdf using the word file, the links created in the word document will be accessible. My request is that you make the hyperlinks accessible through pdf conversion as well. MEANING, please have the accessible when you file>>save as >> pdf.

  15. Fix the IE plugin "Select" feature. It shows the red line box around a screen region, does not keep the region selected, and then proceeds to make a PDF of the ENTIRE web page, not the chosen region. And it makes the PDF in landscape orientation, with all the menus, footers, headers, and junk we don't need. There seems to be no way to fix this behavior in Acrobat DC.

  17. I cannot vote for the hundreds of other suggestions that suggest this same thing!!! Adobe personnel have closed them too quickly. However, I would like to be able to create a PDF from a word document (or any other document type) and have linked documents (of all types) appended to the pdf the way Acrobat does for "Create a PDF from a website" options. This is not just a "nice to have" this is a MUST HAVE and if I find a competing product that already does this, I will buy it and cease my use of Acrobat Pro.

    When I choose File>Create>Combine Files into a Single PDF,
    It should COMBINE FILES INTO A SINGLE PDF, not create a portfolio, which is what it does.
