  1. When creating a binder using the > Combine Files function, all batch imported files should be clearly checked by default, with the option to uncheck individual files.

    Alternatively: When clicking > Combine, the user could be notified:
    "It seems you have imported more files than are currently being combined. Is this right? (Tip: If you like to use all your imported files in this binder, please check all your imported files by doing X.) >Y/N

  2. When I merge several documents into a single PDF, recipients are telling me they are getting an error message that a file is corrupt. The merged documents consist of 3 MS Word documents, a single PowerPoint presentation, and 5 PDFs. We recently were upgraded to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Version 2019.012.20040. I didn't have this problem before. I've re-created the MS Word and PowerPoint documents and still no fix to the issue. Any suggestions?

  3. Windows 10 Enterprise 1803, Acrobat Pro DC 2019.012.20040, Firefox 69.0, Acrobat Add-on 18.0.10

    Hi, when I try to convert a web page with the Acrobat Add-on in the upper right corner of my Firefox browser, I get an error message in Acrobat: There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found. I cannot do anything else.
    In Chrome I can convert to PDF without any problems.

  4. We used to be able to drag MS Word documents into existing PDFs (in the thumbnail view), and the Word document would automatically be PDFed and combined with the existing PDF. This no longer works, and is causing certain tasks to take much longer than they used to.

  5. When I try to convert a web page in Firefox to pdf using the icon on top right corner, it often does not work. If I try the convert to pdf using the print command on the right dropdown list, the optionto print, then adobe pdf will convert the same page to a perfect pdf. What is wrong?

  6. Hello, I recently installed the Acrobat Firefox add on. Here are the issues:

    1. it takes an enormous amount of time for the conversion process to complete

    2. As you will see in the attached screencast, the "open pdf in acrobat" option is turned off, yet acrobat application opens anyway. either way, you will see that i'm logged into the account and logged in to the document icloud.

  8. There seems to be a bug in "Acrobat PDFMaker 17 for Word" (which does not exist in "Acrobat PDFMaker 17 for PowerPoint). The chosen "Conversion Settings" doesn't work when working in Word as shown in the attached file (and I also show that things work properly when working in PowerPoint).

    I found that copying my *.joboptions file to:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2017\Acrobat\Settings\Standard.joboptions" was a workaround, but obviously there is a bug that needs to be fixed.

  10. Making a PDF from a Word (2016 or 2019) document on the Mac, I can't select job options AND get bookmarks and links. I use the ribbon tool, which offers two options: High Quality and Online (which, ominously, tells me it uses Microsoft servers... why??). High Quality (using, I guess, Distiller) won't make bookmarks or preserve links. Online makes bookmarks and preserves links, but resamples. I end up making both and copy/pasting graphics from the HQ PDF into the Online PDF. Ridiculous workaround.

  13. It should be possible, to have an ADD TO, JOIN TO or MERGE command to integrate a PDF file into another one, directly from the File Menu applications.
    As an example
    1. Attached on an email I receive a PDF file containing the instructions to pay my Car Insurance.
    2. I save this PDF as “Car Insurance 2019.pdf”
    3. A few day later I pay this insurance thru Online Banking
    4. I save the proof of the payment as “Payment House Insurance 2019.pdf”

  14. New problem today, 3/7/19 I can no longer save a Word doc as a PDF optimized for electronic distribution. The Word doc itself doesn't seem to matter, happens with different fonts etc.
    In Word, attempt to File -> Save As -> PDF with Best for Electronic Distribution option selected fails with the message Can't Export File. There are three workarounds: 1)Save As PDF with Best for Printing option, 2)Print -> Print to PDF, or 3)click the Acrobat tab in Word and Create PDF icon upper left.

  15. Has the issue with PDFMaker crashing with Office 2016 and Office 365 on Windows been fixed? The workaround provided in your article acknowledging this issue (see link below) did not suffice, and we had to remove the Acrobat plugin from our MS Office 365. In so doing, we lost the added bookmarking features available via your plug in. The rules for California Court Filings require bookmarking, which that plug in helps automate.

  16. Working on Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 1803, OS Build 17134.523
    Acrobat Pro DC, Version 2019.010.20069

    When combining a list of files, Acrobat will not actually combine the file type HEIC. Everything else is combined but there is no indication in Acrobat that it left the HEIC files out. When combining dozens of files, it is easy to miss this issue.The "Files" attachment shows two PDF's and an HEIC file that need to be combined. When I select all, right click, "Combine files in Acrobat...", I get the results in the "Results" attachment. All that appears is the two PDF's.

  18. I used Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on a Windows 7 64 bit desktop environment.

    I simply select the combine documents icon button, it has me choose either existing open document or add unopened documents. Either way it does not work. When I select open document, it has the one open document and then I need to add the 2nd document to combine, and I select it, those documents never populated the page and thus I cannot move to the next step of clicking on the "Combine" button. This has happened multiple times. I think of asking for a refund and…

  19. Using Acrobat PRO DC 19.008.20074
    When I open Adobe, Combine files, add the files I want to combine, either PDF or other word, excel, etc, click on Combine. What I end up with is a "PORTFOLIO". The thumbnails are all visible on the navigation pane but the actual PDF that was supposed to contain all the pages I just combined, there is only the first page, no other pages. I create Board packets with this feature. It has become a big headache. How do I get this to work.
