  1. The company I work for uses a lot of text boxes when marking up client PDF files obtained during our audits. The lack of ability to set a default font size, color, and style for every text box we add is very time consuming. I realize there is still a feature to set the default text box fill and outline, however I do not want 12-point RED font as my predetermined default every time I choose to add a text box. PLEASE bring this feature back!

  2. It is a Bug, not an idea.

    When trying to insert a calculation into a form field to show the new date (also with other simple calculations), for example

    var f = this.getField("Heute");
    f.value = util.printd("d.m.yyyy",new Date());

    I can insert it, but when clicking OK the field is empty and nothing calculates.

    There seems to be an error, snce this has worked befor – or I am doing it wrong, but I cannot see how.

    Any ideas?

  3. I have to fill out form repeatedly with different information each week for something for class. I edited it a bit the first time and then set it up to use as a "template" for myself in the future. However, I am trying to delete a portion in "Fill & Sign" where I circled things (I had to do a bunch of ratings on a scale of 1-5) and change them for the new week and it will not let me delete or adjust the old circles I made. I can't figure out how to do this or find any…

  4. Acrobat DC's Save As dialogue is horrible. Why does this product need to differentiate from a typical Save As--even from the rest of Adobe's products? I want to immediately be able to choose Desktop or Documents or whatever, and not have to click an additional "Choose a Different Folder..." button, just because my save location does not appear in the recent short list.

  5. Once I have scanned a page I am not able to save the file to any folder, See the attached screen shot, this is the screen that I get. I have uninstalled Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and re-installed and still get the same thing. Please advise.

  6. My professors take out certain parts of their powerpoints so students have to go to class to be able to fill in the PDF of the powerpoints. But, sometimes, I need to fill in equations but there is no way to add them like you can in Microsoft's equation editor.

  7. I just want to be able to quickly and easily select the "hand" tool or the "select" tool. One minute it's in the tool bar - the next minute it's not. I cannot work out the logic for when they do (or don't) appear or - more importantly - how to make them a permanent fixture in the tool bar.

  8. a adobe rep said in this forum the following:"Since the secured PDFs cannot be combined as single PDF and are only available as PDF portfolio. Those can only be viewed in Acrobat or Reader."

    Is there a way to convert multiple pdfs put into a single file/folder with a single password that would protect the large singlefile/folder without password pasword protecting each individual file? or work around?

  9. Bug Report - The text in these API's are stunningly useless to me. Check these screenshots and send this issue to someone who knows how to fix it. I've been dealing with this problem, and have tried to get it resolved, since day 1 of my purchase of Adobe Pro XI. My other Adobe products have some of these same defects in the API's. These boxes are unreadable. No adjustment to screen display or resolution or in the program preferences makes a bit of difference.

  11. As with Acrobat 9 Pro, your new DC versions needs a "choose pages or select pages" option when combining multiple documents into one pdf. The old version easily allowed you to select the individual document, and enter that you wanted to include only pages 1-22, 56-68, 543. Only these pages would be included. With DC I was just told by your customer support team that I would need to expand the document, and scroll through what could be a 1,000 page document and hand select the pages I need. Will not purchase program if this is the only way to…

    Hi Liz G,

    Sorry for the late reply.
    Selecting page range for combing is already present in combine feature of Acrobat.
    After adding the file switch to list view of combine and Select the pdf you want to choose mention the range and click on “Page Range”. choose your page range (eg 1-5,10-12 etc). Combine to get desire result.

    Thanks for reporting your concern. This seems to be a case of mistaken identity. Adobe employees do contact customers directly to help them in any issues they are facing. Do let us know in case you face any other issue.

  13. Bug - I have up to date Microsoft Outlook for mac (subscription) as well as a subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. The idea of a subscription (which is pretty expensive) is that you get the most recent version of the software.

    I have been using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for about two weeks now. My experience has been very negative. The specific issue that annoys me is the ability to email a PDF file. When I attempt to do this one of two things happen:

  14. Both, Acrobat DC and Reader DC ignore the "General preferences > Use Single Key Accelerators To Access Tools" settings.

    Although I checked this option, whenever I open a PDF document, acceleration keys (e.g. "H" or "D" for changing the selection mode) don't work.

    Deselecting and selecting this option in General Preferences temporarily enables this feature, but both programs "forget" this setting the next time one of them is getting launched.

    HI David,
    We tried on our side on the latest build. It is fixed on our side. Please update on the latest build.
    Although the issue faced by you may be because you have not turned off Protected View, Please turn it off and you won’t be facing the issue anymore.

  15. Cannot uncheck "whole word" from Find box. It's there but grayed out. There is no way to uncheck by default. Have to open the cumbersom full search panel, but it still won't change the default.

    Hi Laura

    Seems like your default Excel handler is changed to Acrobat. You can change the default Excel handler by following steps:

    1. right-click on any Excel file.
    2. Go to Properties.
    3. Click on “Change…” button against "Opens With: " and select Excel from the list of apps. If you don’t see it, click on More Apps or navigate to your Excel install location where you can find excel.exe
    4. Once done, click on Apply > OK.

    It should work fine now.

  17. It is not an idea, it is a bug.

    When I open two exact same PDF files, one that has been created 2 months ago with formula to insert the current dat, calculate prices and costs, and a freshly created PDF to include the exact same calculations to the exact same named fields, I cannot get one single calculation to stick. Neither when adding them via hand, nor via export and import function. When I go to properties/calculations and user definted calcuations and add the copied text there, click ok enough times thennothing happens. when i look into the field…

  18. Prior to Adobe DC, one option for printing was to "print color as black". This was different from 'Gray scale" in that lighter colors (like yellow and pink) would come out as light gray. For folks printing line drawings (piping and electrical diagrams), this is a NECESSITY since the gray scale lines are almost illegible.

    Previous versions permitted this or provided a work around to print like this.

    Please reintroduce this to the options, otherwise, we have to use other software to generate the files.

    If this capability does exist, please make the option simple to find.

    Thanks for you valuable feedback.
    To Print color as black you can try this:
    Select Print, then the Advanced button. Under Color Management, scroll nearly to the bottom of Color Profile. There you’ll find Black & White. Select this, then, OK, the Print.

  19. I have a creative cloud subscription but all my apps changed to "start 7-day trial" or "buy now". Even a complete uninstall of all apps and creative cloud app followed by a fresh install did not solve the problem. Also my Adobe Acrobat X has been uninstalled without my approval.

  20. When you have to resize a field such as a check box, it is more efficient to do a copy and paste. However, it is a pain to have to go back and edit each and every field with a unique name. This occurs because your paste autopopulates the name field with the same name. This feature should be able to be turn on or off as needed.
