  2. Please enable the export of images along with text from a "_Response.pdf" file. It now only exports text to .csv files.

Our client will have ~10,000 fillable forms annually that come back with both text filled in, and images attached.

Ideally, the mix of text and images could be exported to an Alteryx database, which can contain text, images, and spatial objects. Extension .yxdb.

Less ideally, any method of extracting the images with a link to the text would be great. Like saving the images in jpg or png format to a local directory, and the text file would contain…

  3. Just tried this out on a scanned PDF of Japanese text with the latest Acrobat Pro (2023.008.20470) and the results were completely unusable. Searching for any text on the page had zero results (even simple hiragana). Copying and pasting text gave me wildly inaccurate kanji and other symbols. macOS Preview does a pretty good job of letting me search and copy text from the same document, even my own poor handwriting, and I don't even have to wait for a progress bar.

  4. Please allow us to remove or at least change the location of the + Create button at the top next to the tabs. I often need to move the pdf window around on my screen and having the create button there makes it harder to find a space to grab the pdf window and move it to a different location on my screen. Every time I accidentally "create a PFD" it gets more and more annoying.

  5. Accessibility -> Override Page Display didn't work in previous versions and doesn't in this one either.

Try on https://publications.blum.com/2022/catalogue/en/. Download the complete PDF catalogue.

Preferences set in Page Display and Accessibility->Override as single page continuous and fit width.

File opens as Fit Single Page. Change view to Fit Width Scrolling. Click on any page number link in the document and the view changes back to Fit Single Page.

This is a reference publication I use a great deal and I curse at its ignorance of my view preferences every time.

Override should ignore ALL changes to document view unless…

  6. Acrobat Pro, Windows:

    1) The "Record Audio" Comment option doesn't work well: a really loud background noise is always present, and I have to massively strain my voice to beat it. (If I forget to strain it, the recording has a fade-in effect where the recorded sound is inaudible at first, but then gets better a few seconds in.)
This is not a hardware issue - tried different laptops & different microphones (internal and external). Searching the forum, I found that this issue has existed for more than a decade (https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/is-there-a-way-to-fix-the-static-noise-problem-in-record-audio-comments-in-acrobat/m-p/14383077#M448422), please fix it.

    2) Also, whenever a…

  7. PDFs fail to display as attachment to WhatsApp chats; fail to display on the website of at least one of my banks; fail to open from the Cloud due to 'being already logged in" in another session.
Fail to display on my iPhone, using Acrobat Pro. Message states that I need 'Acrobat Reader', etc, etc.
I have a CC full sub and this is extremely frustrating. The reason I was induced to purchase CC was to avoid this kind of issues.
    Please help!

  11. I use adobe apps on multiple PC's, so I need to log in a lot.
I understand why that's necessary to edit documents, but reading should not require a log in. That takes too much time when I just want to print a document.

Basically, every feature that's available in Acrobat Reader should be available without logging in. And it should only prompt me to log in when I try to use more advanced features.

  12. Saving a document should occur as an asynchronous background task. User interface freezes when saving, preventing viewing / editing of other PDFs that are open. Alternatively, saving speed should be increased so the effect is negligible.

  13. When you want to make comments to PDF, you click the relevant comment button and make a comment (Box or line or highlight etc.), however the comment feature is stuck and next time you click anywhere, the Adobe keep on inserting comments, until an Esc button is clicked. Previous version was better where you click comments and you can put comment and carry on reading the pdf content. New feature is bit frustrating

  14. Links to Attachments with a PDF work when created in Windows 11. When the PDF is moved to an iPhone and opened with Adobe Acrobat, those links fail to open. The attachment link recognizes the touch to the link region and flashes a brief background color, but nothing happens to open the link.

Note: When the PDF is moved to Dropbox, it works within Dropbox before downloading to an IOS device. It also works in iCloud Drive before downloading to an IOS device.

  17. I've encountered 2 separate instances of a replicable issue with Adobe Acrobat crashing upon clicking a fillable field shortly after the document is opened.

The workaround is to allow a few seconds for Adobe to "finish loading", indicated by the 7-day Trial banner appearing in instances of non-licensed users. Any clicks prior to this message appearing will cause the application to crash/close out without an error message.

I'm unsure if it has anything to do with how the document was created.

    Application: Adobe Acrobat (64-bit)
    Version: 23.008.20470
    OS: Windows 10 (10.0.19045 Build 19045)

  18. I can see if you're editting bookmarks the new trash can icon in the active button might be useful, but most of the time bookmarks are just for navigation and so I don't want to go accidentally delete them instead.

  20. Dear Adobe Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to report a major issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro related to password-protected PDFs and the inability to use commenting and highlighting features on mobile devices. This issue is affecting a significant portion of users, as mobile devices and tablets have become the primary means of accessing PDF files.

    Issue Description:
When a PDF file is password protected using Adobe Acrobat Pro, and the "commenting and highlighting" option is set to "enabled" in the document's security settings during its creation, there is a critical problem. While users…
