  2. Fix the extreme memory and CPU usage

    I am using Adobe Reader 2024.002.20759. Last week during the night when I was not using the computer, it ate all the available memory causing itself and other programs to crash. Today I noticed some high CPU usage (about 15%) by the Reader without me doing anything inside. It had also eaten 4GB of memory. I closed one document and the CPU usage fell to 0%. I closed all open documents but the memory was not released. I restarted Reader and reopened all previous documents, did some search and scrolled through them. No high CPU usage and the memory used…

  3. I'm a student presently working on my dissertation

    I'm a student presently working on my dissertation. I'm challenged on how to create an effective abstract for dissertation that properly summarises my study and has impact.

  5. Correct open password not accepted

    In Acrobat Pro I cannot open a password protected file, in Mac Preview the same password works. This is an unacceptable bug for paid software. I paid to have working software.

  6. Make "All Tools" pane width adjustable!

    The width of the "All Tools" pane is for some reason fixed and cannot be adjusted left or right - i.e. made wider or narrower which is relly annoying when you have two acrobat windows open side-by-side on a split screen. The large width of the "All Tools" pane just eats up most of the screen. Please make "All Tools" pane width adustable.

  7. Incorrect filename on the tab, when copies created

    when i create a copy of a pdf and rename it to something else - for example CVs - same CV, but rename the file as per the job. but when I open the renamed/new pdf. the name in the "tab" in pdf viewer still shows the original/old name, and it's extremely confusing, which file I'm looking at and working on. it's a bug in my opinion

  8. Advanced Features Installation Needs a Progress Bar

    When upgrading a base installation of Acrobat DC to "Upgrade Key Features", the visual indicator is just a blue bar that bounces back and forth. This gives no information about the update process, what it's doing or how far it is along in the process. This feature could be greatly improved by adding a progress bar to give users a better idea of what to expect or if any troubleshooting may be needed.

  9. Print To PDF Without Saving

    We need to be able to print or create pdfs from multiple sources without saving first. For instance, Print an email to pdf, without saving, then print an attachment to the same pdf, without saving, then print an excel workpaper to the same pdf, without saving, then print a journal entry to the same pdf, and finally save the whole document under the journal entry #, etc. Currently, having to save each print as a separate file to combine later on is extremely cumbersome for certain types of jobs, as it multiplies the effort and time it takes to complete…

  13. New interface does not support title bar proxy icons on Mac.

    Only way I can efficiently work with another (web based) system is to use the proxy icons to upload files. Please follow platform conventions.

  16. Enable a default selection for "Enable scrolling" yes/no

    Since I work only with scroll mode, the current functionality is a pain in the neck.
    I would prefer having the possibility to define "scroll mode" in the settings so I don't have to set "Enable scrolling" each time I open a document.
    Leave the current selection GUI for when one wants to work on a specific document in a different mode than his default selection.
    Would appreciate your feedback and even more if you implement it.
