  5. highlight and comment should not be part of the document protection

    The purpose of the Portable Document Format (PDF) is to provide a way to share documents in a format that remains consistent and unaltered. I understand that there are cases where the document creator may want to restrict certain actions, such as printing or copying content, especially when the document is intended to be viewed only on a screen. These restrictions can be appropriate and serve specific needs.

  6. Freeze and crash when using the PDF search function

    Performance has significantly deteriorated recently. More often than not, the application freezes when the search function is used ([ctrl]+[F]), then crashes. I tried waiting for the application to respond - after waiting for over 5 minutes, I have to shut it down forcefully.

  7. PDF to PPTX Export BUG since last updates

    Since last update Acrobat no longer exports pdfs to pptx correctly, it loses transparency, skips the images undeneath transparent layers, etc. A mess.

    Please fix, it is a huge problem for my work as I was relying heavily on this feature

  8. NEW BUG: Fatal error with insert more picture signatures into PDF

    Hallo, we have a big problem with the current version of Adobe Acrobat XXXX. The older versions did not have this problem.
    After installing Adobe Acrobat, it is possible to put signatures in PDF (as a picture) for about 2 days only. We typically insert 5 to 20 picture signatures into an existing PDF document. After about two days there will be a fatal error somewhere in the program, probably overflowing some counter in Adobe Acrobat. For different PDFs, the error behaves completely identical.

  9. bug: reopen all tabs

    A bug report: the "reopen all tabs" function is now there but I think it is a cheap solution, please build it in the application instead of running some startup script with reopens all documents after a few seconds the application was reopened...

    It happened a lot to me after opening a document by double clicking on it, Acrobat opens, I press the print button. Then an error appears it could not finish a startup script (the script that reopens all my open tabs in the background) because the print dialogue is open... This can be seen as a bug…

  13. Hate the new clutter at the top of the doc. Home and tools stops me from togglig between court forms quikly and slows me dow significantly

    Get rid of the already full tabs /doc area clutter at the top of each PDF. Now I have to push a left to right button to see 4 docs at once rather than quickly hitting a tab - ridiculous.

  15. Bug: Comment Sorting

    When sorting comments by page, the location within columns is not taken into account. Instead, it is sorted by overall position on the page from top to bottom.

    For example: A comment in the middle of column 1 will appear AFTER a comment at the top of column 2.

    This should not be the case.

  18. recent files list

    Running Acrobat Standard 2024.002.20933 on macOS Sonoma 14.5. My document scanner automatically invokes Acrobat to view/edit a scanned file. When I use Acrobat to store the file in a new location while also changing its name, the Recent Files list only shows the original file name, not the new one. Both the old and new file names should be included on the list.

  20. Add spacing options for text/number fields.

    I have some fields which are numbers like Fed Tax ID. And the PDF which im adding underneath has single digit boxes. Which i can accomplish in 2 ways:
    1. Add 9 boxes correctly spaced so they populate the necessary single digit boxes.
    2. Add 1 text box which overlaps the corresponding boxes and looks ugly.

    Ideally, i should be able to add spacing in between each number so it correctly matches the boxes in the pdf underneath
