1. 3d connexion 3d mouse useability of zoom feature

   In previous versions of Adobe Acrobat / reader you could use a 3d mouse (3dconnexion) to zoom and navigate a document. This is very helpful on larger drawing type documents where you want to move around and zoom in. I noticed that the 3d mouse does work to scroll up and down a text type document. Are there any plans to integrate zoom and pan features?

   Choose View > Zoom > Pan & Zoom, or click the Pan & Zoom tool in the Select and Zoom toolbar.

   Do any of the following:
   1.Drag the handles of the box in the Pan & Zoom window to change the document magnification.

   2.Drag the center of the box to pan across the area you want to see.

   3.Click the navigation buttons to move to a different page.

   4.Enter a value in the zoom text box, or click the plus or minus buttons to increase or decrease the magnification by preset levels.

4. mail sending feature does not work

   Send by email does not work (bug).

   In windows 10 pro 64bit and latest Acrobat pro DC it is impossible to send a document via email. It is not abble to connect to the smtp serv er of the 1and1 email service by any plausible setting (SSL/TSL/plain).

   Wen I try to do the same with my gmail account it sais it is not possible to compose the email.

6. Preflight - Remove Empty Pages

   "Remove Empty Pages" was a feature in Preflight that has since been removed. What a great option to have, very disappointed with it's removal. Is there another way to identify blank pages using Adobe? Or can this option be added to an account? When working with 1000s of pages, selecting blank pages for deletion is very tedious and costly for the client. I have several users that could utilize this tool.

8. Recovery of all Open PDF documents after a crash or shutdown on the computer

   Every time Windows crashes all the Adobe files that were open get lost. Please tell me how to recover all open files when after restart

   Hi,

   You can always check the recent files you opened, but as designed after system restart Acrobat will not open those files for you by itself.

9. Customize individual tool selections in toolbar

   Allow users to customize the toolbar- add some (not all) drawing markup tools, comment tools, editing tools, highlight tools, without having to add an entire group. There are tools in a group that I never use, but I must select a group and wait for it to load, rather than seeing all my frequent tools at one time.

10. Error saving when destination folder name is changed

    Changes are not able to be saved when source or destination folder name of document is changed while editing. Changing folder names is common on Mac OSX and applications typically do not have issues tracking folder name changes while the application and document is open.

    1. To reproduce on OSX, open a PDF document and make edits. Change the name of the folder the PDF resides in. Attempt to save changes. Acrobat shows this error "The document could not be saved. The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder." Choose another folder on the system that has not been changed and attempt to save the document. Acrobat shows this error on any other folder "The document could not be saved. A file error has occurred."
    2. Mac OS 10.12.6. Adobe Acrobat Pro 2018.009.20050. No plugins installed
    3. Expected result is changes to document can be saved in any location without being lost.
    4. Changes to document are lost due to this error.

    The error is expected since you are changing the source folder name while the file-inside is in Write-mode.

    You can try Save As to not lose any changes.

    Just for information, on windows – you cannot change the source folder name while a file, is in write-mode.

11. Adobe Acrobat Pro bug

    When opening a pdf file on Adobe Acrobat Pro (and some other times, just after launching Adobe Acrobat Pro), the app occasionally stops working and the cursor turns to spinning rainbow for a few minutes. Sometimes (after a long while) the app resumes its functions, other times it does not and I'm forced to force-quit the application and re-launch it.

    1. Launch Adobe Acrobat Pro / Open a pdf file on Acrobat Pro
    2. Mac Pro (Late 2013) (OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6)
    3. Proper Function
    4. Application crashes and / or freezes

    Here is the report I'm getting when I force-quit the application (as an attached file).

    If I do a control F search for a word, get a hit in the middle of the document, say, but then want to conduct a search from the beginning, there is no way to do that. I can manually move up to the beginning, even click within the document at the beginning, but the next search will still be from where the last hit was. This is true in both pro and reader and is, to my mind, a bug/design flaw. One should be able to search from wherever one wants in a document, not just from where the last hit is.

14. I cannot find all of the tools I used to use - sign, comment, edit, cloud. Please bring them back!

15. Need an inbuilt way to Trigger the Action Items created in ACROBAT DC Coditionally.(This has been a request since long long long time)

    Sadly , there is no way to trigger the Custom Action Items created in Acrobat DC Conditionally:
    Examples:
    1. If the Page number is > 5 then RUN Action item else Skip.
    2. If the bookmarks are available/unavailable then RUN Action item 'x' else RUN Action item 'y'.
    3. If the Page orientation is A3 then Skip Action item.

    It gets harder because:
    Even with Custom commands it is not possible to Call/RUN an already saved Action Item.
    Example:
    if (this.numPages > 5) -> Call/Run a Action Item "eX;Set open Options" -> Then Save the file.

    You can't do it, because You cannot Run/Call an Action item using JavaScript in Acrobat, if i am correct.

    What is needed?
    At least let the user Call a Saved Action Item using Custom command Since it is not possible to set most of the properties AND SAVE the document using Custom Commands (JavaScript) directly.
    OR ELSE
    Let the user have an inbuilt option in each action item itself where they can set the triggers(Like enclosed image) based on events (Page number count, Page orientation etc.).

16. Bug: Save as not working: "The File may be read-only, or another user may have it open.

    Unable to "save-as," export, or e-sign a PDF document.

    Error message when trying to export as another PDF file type, or as another PDF with normal "save as":

    "The File may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."

    I am using Acrobat 9 Pro on a Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6.

18. Bug Report - Using Tools (esp Redact tool) causes wheel of death. HELP

    Hi I'm having continual issues with using the Redact and Combine tools. Whenever I use these tools and attempt to save the document, I get the wheel of death and have to force close Adobe. When I go to where I saved the document, I get an error message saying "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."

19. Embedded video in PDF Interactive has borders

    I have a video in MP4, H.264 embedded in an Interactive PDF. Properties are with no border and background white, still before it starts reproducing I see a grey cube in place of the video and as long as it is not in Full Screen mode I have always some kind of border around the video. Even worse, the border changes everytime I open it, sometimes it's above, then beneath, then to the right or to the left. Contacted the support two times already, they can't help. Told me that the senior team would get in contact with me, I am still waiting.

20. Allow Action Wizard to "Close" files

    The feature was available on early versions which made batch processing easier. I believe it allowed the user to Execute a Menu Item. Please bring it back. The javascript work arounds all seem to have their own little issues.
