  1. Under the prepare form area, you can add form fields. However, you can't rotate the field box. It always stays straight. I would like to be able to rotate it based on the direction of the image/text in the project.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

  2. I can't get Acrobat to auto create check boxes when I "prepare form" - this is a .docx with check boxes printed to PDF, making form fillable. I want Acrobat to detect the check boxes and automatically add them instead of manually adding 100 checkboxes, taking way too much time.

  3. I have designed forms that my staff complete & then we provide to external sources. I need these to export as a flat file & don't see how that could be accomplished other than export to MS Word & then to a pdf... kinda labor intensive!

  5. Currently there is no easy way to create a form from scratch with numerous lines and fields. It is easier to create it in Word and then export it, but then there are issues with editing and aligning field boxes to the text. Please make a feature to snap the text boxes to field boxes so they line up perfectly and quickly.

  6. Adobe Livecycle ES 4 crashes repeatingly after opening the preview screen. It's irritating. I see a lot of ad hoc repair items in this blog by the Adobe Support team (outsourced). There are a lot of issues in this case. When will Adobe really do something about it.

Please let's have a call. In the early days Adobe issues will be solved. Since it's outsources the issues are increasing huge in my opinion.

  7. I open a pdf and go to tools > prepare form> open then select a form.

As soon as I click on 'add a field' or an existing field, a stopwatch icon appears and Adobe closes. So I can't edit a form which makes a fillable pdf form impossible. Given the fee I pay every month I am NOT happy.

Yes I have the most current version, Yes I tried the 'repair Adobe' option.

  8. When copying form fields, Acrobat automatically makes identical copies. If I copy a page and fill in the first page, the fields on the second page are automatically filled out with the same info. The only way to couteract this without having java scripting knowledge is to manually change the name of every field. This is frustrating when you have 100 fields that need to be identical on 20 pages, but filled out with different info. This should be a standard option. Preferrably while copying, acrobat could ask if you want the new copies linked with the originals or not.

  9. I create many forms and every time I create a text field and corresponding form field (whether text box, check box or radio button) I have to move them around separately. the text fields end up grouping together with other unrelated text fields and adjusts line spacing randomly which makes it double-triple work to move around and adjust when laying out the form. Text fields should be left individual with option to merge with other text fields if desired. It takes me way longer to create a form than necessary because i have to constantly readjust the line spacing and…

Thank you for report your concern. I have forwarded your request to the engineering team. We will reach out to you if we need more information.

  10. Copy & Paste of a field - Within a document works as expected - the formatting, naming of the field is consistent. However if you copy paste into a different document, the field properties seem to reset (if this was correct, why would you copy/paste & not just insert a new field) - expected behaviour would be to keep same size/format/code/name & position(if possible, if not centred on screen).

Only noted work-around, is to copy existing page into new document, copy/paste field from one page to another & then deleted the inserted page. - Comment elsewhere requests a MS Office…

  11. I have Windows 10 and Adobe Standard v. 2018.011.20038 and when I create a form and click on "Prepare Form" there is a pop up box that says "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working" and then the program shuts down. I have updated the program, clicked on "Repair Installation" and nothing has corrected this issue. Please help!

  12. In previous versions of Adobe Acrobat Pro, I was able to select what type of formatting I'd like the text field to be, such as Phone Number, Zip Code, and decimal numbers as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-form-field-properties.html#format_tab_for_form_field_properties.

However, that option appears to not exist any more?

  13. Please allow a user to assign a "Participant Role" to multiple fields at once inside of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (Convert to Adobe Sign form). Similar to how you can select multiple fields and make them all required with one click. This isn't always a huge issue, but when assigning multiple fields in a large table format this can quickly become very tedious and massively time consuming.

You don’t need to edit the form to enter the date. Simply click on the field and start typing.

  16. batch rename form field based on selected fields so that a simple Javascript can hide or Show them based on the simple syntax of the Field name.
    How to implement it:
    1. Select form fields in overview panel
    2. Right-click Batch rename selected form fields…
    3. Done and great for javascritping with ease.

  17. I should be able to create a radio group inside a form without custom scripting. An example would be to select a number of check boxes and group them together and choose to group them as a radio button group.

  18. The field view is entirely too small to manually edit tab order. This should either be a separate pane or perhaps a pop-out window. I easily have over 100 fields on one page and it's impossible to order them as I need to (by column, within a section or rows of fields). Default tab ordering structures (By Row, By Column) are not useful here. Need more flexibility to set tab order manually.

As per user’s confirmation in comment below that the issue is fixed. Marking status resolved.

  20. The option to clear all the fields on a form has been removed. I have a form that I re-use for various jobs, and now I must manually clear all of the fields in the form in order to fill it out afresh. The deletion of this feature irritates me mightily.

    Hi,

We would like to know, how were you using “clear all fields” option? Was it a button or a menu item?

    Refer: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/pdf-form-field-properties.html#actions_tab_for_form_field_properties

Reader cannot “Edit/Modify” PDF and hence “Reset Form” is not available in Reader. As long as you didn’t save the form (as you mentioned), you can use the following command in Acrobat Reader: File > Revert.

“Clear Form/Reset Form” can only be added via Acrobat. You can ask the author of the form to add a button using Form Fields Properties > Actions > Reset Forms.
And, if you are the author, you can clear it from Tools > Prepare Forms > More Options > Clear Form.

I hope this resolves your issue. If not, please share details for more information.
